Why wouldn’t you love Jesus? Is there a reason why?
What fault do you find in Him that you would not love Him?
What is it about Him that causes you to keep turning your heart away from Him?

Do you think Jesus is a threat to your happiness?

He’ll destroy your life, brother … and give you a new one!
He’ll make you hate the ‘bar scene.’
He’ll give you joy unending … for no apparent, natural reason.
Yeah. He’s a Life-changer.

Exactly.
He won’t improve your life, it will have to die, and, know that your life is dead already, before God, but you are still ‘alive’ to what is death.
If you want to live with Him, then know that His life is a resurrection on the other side of death, and to receive His life will mean that you’re own life is dead and gone.

Time and time again we’ve witnessed Christians try to cling to their old life, their old identity.
The classic example in pop culture, IMO, is Bob Dylan. He appeared to have an authentic conversion, but as the years rolled by it became clear that “Bob Dylan” was still very much alive.
If Bob Dylan had died at his conversion, then, there would be a new man, you wouldn’t be able to find Bob Dylan anymore.
get my drift?

Yep. When you get the new, you leave the old behind …
