Brood of snakes! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of his good treasure brings forth good things, and an evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you, that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.”

In Christianity, what people talk about reveals what is IN their hearts: whether Jesus has ALL their heart, or their heart is still very much belonging to this sinful world and living for its basic principles – the desire of the flesh, eyes, and the pride of life. (1 John 2:15-17)
We naturally speak from what’s in our hearts. If Jesus is everything to us, has ALL our heart, it’s only natural that our conversations will be to do with Him and His interests. eh.
