How does God want to be defined?

What is the defining thing, the definitive thing by which God wants us to think and understand who He is?

It’s the Cross of Calvary which defines who God is, and it’s by His Cross He wants to be defined. Without understanding Calvary, we will never understand who God is, and therefore never know Him.

How did Jesus say He wanted to be remembered? By His broken Body and shed Blood, that’s how He wants to be remembered, and how He wants us to understand who He is, and what He is like, and what kind of Person He is – in those terms, and He asked us to remember Him in this way often by breaking bread together.

God on a Cross defines who God is – That the Creator and Author of Life was willing to die for the rebellious children He created, to bring us back to Himself.
