Please see this video. It includes a clip from the movie of Martin Luther, how he stood like a rock and didn’t wilt like a flower when he was under pressure to deny the Truth.
(Scary stuff for many young people, who have not seen Christian character)
Jesus doesn’t need anyone to defend Him, right?
………...BUT, those who don’t defend His Truth really don’t love Him.
A person who has the character of Christ, bears His image engraved in them, will always stand up for His Truth, even if it is costly for them to do so. Even if it means being killed for His Truth.
In these final days of this age, Christian character has almost become extinct. Now, superficial and shallow is the new normal and the standard.
It’s come to the point that the younger generation of Christians have never seen Christian character, they’ve only seen the clowns, jokers, and slippery showmen on TV and in the mega-churches.
They have no reference point, now, but their Bible. It’s that late.
And what a mighty, immovable reference point God’s Word is!
It means, if the Apostles came back today into our churches, what would they say?
They would say the same things they said back then, the same Word we have before us on our lap.
Time does not change the Truth.
They would be so grieved by what “church” and the “christian life” has become.
They would be angry that we tolerated false teachers and clowns.
They would be angry that we DISCARDED their specific directions for how to live and to function as the Church.
Could you imagine Paul, Peter, James and John on TBN or GOD TV? Or invited to Joel Osteen’s Church? Where would they begin? Would they have holy, righteous anger?

I’m alright, Jack! Why should I care?
I’m superficial!
I don’t have time to think about what Jesus said!
My mind just drifts and floats on the fantasy Facebook sea…… Maybe just pausing briefly to consider some clever or witty saying, but then off it floats again into nothingness………………… and then to be obsessed with myself, my appearance and my photos continually…..
