The LIFE of Jesus in us always produces the DEATH of our self-life.
When Jesus LIFE comes you know there’s gonna be a DEATH, but it’s a good death.
That’s how we know whether the LIFE in us is truly the LIFE of Jesus, for His LIFE will always produce DEATH to self. A counterfeit spirit will not do this, but will do the exact opposite.
His LIFE allows no other “life” to live and compete with His LIFE and diminish or downgrade it.
Sin has a “life” of its own. The LIFE of Jesus renders sin as dead, not alive – Just as Jesus Himself is dead to sin and alive to His Father, so should we consider ourselves dead to sin and alive to God (See Romans 6).
Thru the DEATH of the Cross He gave us His resurrection LIFE – LIFE which came thru DEATH.
The LIFE of Jesus always produces DEATH TO SELF. We cannot be both alive to Jesus and alive to our self, to sin.
So, His LIFE is the only way. LIFE which conquers sin by making us DEAD to sin.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

Jesus is VICTOR, not us.
It’s to live by HIS Life, HIS Spirit and not our own.
For whoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
