Cod liver oil capsules are excellent. I can feel the difference after taking them over the last month (now 3 mths).
The thing about Vitamin D3 is that western industrialized diets have mostly eliminated it from the diet, causing deficiency and the associated illnesses and conditions to be widespread, when they are so easily preventable.

Here’s a little Cod Liver Oil story:
I’ve been taking it for many months now and it really does help your body be all that it’s designed to be, it’s the good oil created by Jesus.
Some time back a friend of ours, who didn’t know about Cod Liver Oil , Omega 3 oils, or Vitamin D3, had a dream, and in the dream a man told her something like this, that many people have Vitamin D deficiency and there’s been a cover up about it. Then, the next day i think, they happened to see this thread about Vitamin D and they wrote us.
Maybe they will let us know, in time, the results of taking it.
Btw, I take the liquid oil bcos i feel its better than the gelatin coated capsules, but the taste is foul, BUT i’ve gotten used to the taste and it doesn’t bother me now.
Try Cod Liver Oil for one month! You could be deficient in D3 and not know it. It seems our bodies are designed to have a fair amount of oily fish intake, and modern diets don’t have this.

From these two articles the wisdom i glean is that which is apparent anyway, which is that Cod Liver Oil should only be a supplement to a balanced diet and should be taken in moderation.
An error would be to think that just bcos one is taking Cod Liver Oil that they don’t need to have a balanced diet.
For people who just can’t obtain a good selection of fresh fruit and veggies then it’s a useful supplement.
I felt the benefits of Cod Liver Oil quite rapidly bcos my diet was lacking in a balanced range of vegetables and fruit, and also the veggies overcooked, as is the custom here.
Sunlight is the main contributor to Vit D, not foods.

Sweet Poison
Sugar is a basic element found in starchy food.
Sugar cane contains 14% trace elements, minerals and vitamins,
plus chlorophyll. The sugar we purchase in the supermarket
for personal consumption is heated up in chalk-milk,
so that calcium and protein are extracted.
It initially becomes an alkaloid, thus destroying all vitamin content.
In the second phase, the sugar is mixed with acid chalk,
carbonic gas, sulphur dioxide and finally, with natrium bicarbonate.
This mixture is cooked and cooled off several times,
and thereafter crystallized and centrifugalized.
This dead mass is then treated with strontium hydroxide.
Subsequently, it arrives at the refinery where it is passed over
chalk carbon acid to clean it.
Dark coloring is removed by adding sulphuric acid and then
it is filtered with bone charcoal. Finally, it is colored
with Indathrenblue, or the highly toxic Ultramarine.
This product”s chemical composition is C12 H22 O11,
which you can buy in shops as “pure cane” sugar,
sugar cubes, candy, etc.
All of its life-giving and protective forces have been destroyed,
and this product called sugar has an atomic density
of 98.4 to 99.5 %.
Such density falls under the category of poison.
This industrial sugar irritates the mucous membranes,
tissues, glands, blood vessels and intestinal tracts of the persons
who eat it. White sugar also paralyzes the intestinal peristaltic
functions and leads to immune system failure.

The problems have increased with the consumption
of industrial sugar and white starch. The brain was originally
stimulated and fed by natural fruit-sugars.
This has given the brain its stability and structural thinking patterns.
Fruits coming mostly from mono-cultures, soaked in pesticides
and environmental toxins, are far from being a good brain-food.
The consumption of dead sugar is increasing astronomically.
The brain collapses and acts crazy and unreasonable
because of the influence of white sugar. This contributes
also to family problems – including violence.
In the United States in 1970, there were 40 million people
that sought medical help because of emotional disturbances.
Half of the United States is suffering knowingly from one
or other mental disturbances and the outbreak of violence.
In large towns like London, there are 30 idiots for every 1000 citizens.
We can observe that the performance in schools shrinks f
rom year to year. Now there are already first-graders
using the help of teachers at home. The German educational
department mentions in 1978, that in Hamburg, of 2000 children
of the age of six, 55% suffer from important emotional disturbances,
20% have anorexia, and another 20% have sleeping problems.
Out of all foods, sugar is certainly the No 1 killer. Starch,
which is certainly consumed in no less quantity than sugar
in the civilized world, is another great contributor for our public mess
and loss of intelligence.
Intelligence and feeling are very closely linked. It is not surprising
that in our time there are so many people suffering from
violent emotional pain. The brain is the commander of everything.
When we destroy the brain, we basically destroy humanity,
which depends upon brain-power at all times.
It is astonishing where you can find sugar already in today’s food.
Even in fish conserves, you can find among the ingredients
the presence of industrial sugar. Any other substance
with the same atomic density is called poison and cannot
be obtained without a medical prescription and then only
a few grams of it. Poisons are sometimes prescribed in order
to cure an illness. However, the purpose of Sugar is to destroy
humanity, together with its dignity and creative power.
It is one of the most sinister products ever made to be legally
sold as food.

Science backs apple a day theory
Science has backed the adage that an apple a day keeps the doctor away.
A CSIRO report says eating apples reduces risks of diabetes and high cholesterol.
The report is based on 10 years of research.
Dietitian Karen Kingham says apples can reduce dangerous stomach fat and affect hormones which regulate metabolism.
“The strongest evidence that CSIRO have found is that for cholesterol lowering where research shows that consuming those apple polyphenols, which are the antioxidants in apples, can actually help lower our cholesterol,” she said.

I mean, it’s not a result of spontaneous mutations that apples just happen to have chemicals which reduce cholesterol.
Even before He created man, He created substances which would help man overcome the fallout of his own sin : before there ever was such a thing as sin. He is so Great.

I take an omega3 fish oil supplement, 1200 mgs. a day.
I used to suffer from severe bouts of depression, at one time I was on prescription anti-depressants. They didn’t seem to do much good and the side effects were pretty awful. One medication that was prescribed was damaging my liver!!
Someone told me about Omega3s about 5 or 6 years ago and I have taken them ever since. I get a giant sized jar of them at Costco for less than the price of a few salmon fillets.
There’s no way I could eat seafood every day. But the Omega3 capsules and a balanced diet along with prayer are keeping me sane and healthy.

I didn’t know it was a secret, and even if it was I couldn’t have kept it!!
I’m not saying that Omega3 is a cure all but it definitely has benefits. I am almost 50 years old,(the eldest child) but have fewer health problems than my younger siblings. Matter of fact, I haven’t had any major health problems for years.
God is so good!! Like you said, He created these substances before we knew we would need them.

My wife Sheela has been taking cod liver oil capsules for over a year now and has not had a cold or the flu. She also suffered from severe allergy in the sinuses for years, but this abruptly stopped since she’s been taking cod liver oil.
I’ve been taking the oil direct, not capsules. I’ve enjoyed good immunity also from colds and generally more strength and a slight improvement in my eyesight. I almost needing reading glasses but now don’t need them.
Jesus made this good stuff for our health.

Just on the stewardship of our bodies / health thing : As well as Cod Liver Oil, and also Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey drink, i’ve been eating raw/uncooked onions, garlic and tomatoes every day (finely diced as a salad or mixed into the curry (India, here) FOR A LONG TIME, and I CANT REMEMBER WHEN I LAST HAD A COLD OR THE FLU. I love the taste (but bad breath!) and it has a host of benefits including emulsifying fat and oil.
Try it!
Look, i’ll almost guarantee that you if you take this faithfully (and have a balanced diet) you may never get a cold or the flu, or whatever else.
Not a substitute for faith. It is stewardship.
It also acknowledges the glory of the Creator, who put all these benefits into certain foods, knowing in advance that we would need them. He put all that stuff in there even before He created man and woman.

It’s not self-deprecatory to call your body the tent you live in. That’s the facts of it, it is a tent, which only lasts for a short season.
Keep your tent in good working order, for the glory of God, as a good steward. He made the tent, He gave it to us and said, Here, look after this, and use it for my glory.
He never wanted us to get obsessed with the appearance of our tent. As wonderful as it is, a creation of God, Peter calls it just an old tent, but one day it will be glorified, for those faithful to Jesus.
