Actally, I think that we are in a time when we have many, many more siesmegraph machines and whatever else ther are now to detect earthquakes that in reality there may not be anymore than in the past, but we can know about them now because of good technology.

So when these big quakes hit, we just know about them faster and with the news technology we have now we are aware of the damage faster. As it says in the scriptures…”Ecc 1:9 That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.

Hi IWTT, I had the same thought when i saw the graph, but then i noted that earthquakes escalated around the year 2000, and global seismic monitoring has been extensive at least since the 80s or earlier (maybe someone can correct me on that) therefore i discounted that thought.

Certainly, the monitoring and reporting of earthquakes increased in the latter part of last century.

There will be earthquakes in diverse places, our LORD said, meaning an increase in earthquakes, as there’s always been earthquakes.
