Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. James 5:13
It’s OK to suffer.
But to suffer and not pray is not OK.

Great thought, Ian. I have a real problem praying during times of suffering. you are right — it is not ok to not do that. I just wish I knew how to pray when I’m suffering. Seems like I know how when others are suffering, but never when I am suffering. May God show me!

Oh it’s real simple: HELP!!!!!!!
As simple as that. :)
When i talk about prayer i mean a state of the heart, communion with God, and i can’t explain it, but the most precious communion i’ve had with Jesus was during times of deepest suffering.

That much i do. it is kind of like, “Lord, I’m so darn miserable, you see the state I’m in and i think you made one big mistake letting me born right now cos I’m not good for nuthin but God I just gotta trust you know what you are doing, cos if you don’t help me, who can and who will? I love you Lord, no matter what. I just wish some of the stuff would go away.” but like you say, Ian, some of the precious times are when we are suffering. Where else can we go but to him? The hardest times is dealing with back spasms or chronic pain that sometimes can last for weeks on end until it subsides. I hate getting old! But i tell myself none of it takes God by surprise and He sees and knows and He still manages to use everything!
