The new era of WikiLeaks

November 30, 2010

has just quietly begun. I noticed a number of stories on the Australian online news service i watch are about information revealed by WikiLeaks.

A holy confidence in the LORD

November 30, 2010

which springs from a pure conscience: a Blood-washed and truly set-free conscience.

This is lacking in many saints i know, so i’m praying.

Staying on THE Way

November 29, 2010

The early church was called “The Way”. Not “A Way”. Not a spiritual buffet.

It behooves/behoves us to consider that Jesus is The Way.

Is our Christian life and our church actually GOING ALONG, and moving along, The Way? Or have there been sidetracks and detours from The Way?

Meditate upon these things

November 29, 2010

give yourself wholly to them; that your progress may appear to all. 1 Timothy 4:15

Karl Marx

November 29, 2010

“Through love of Christ we turn our hearts at the same time toward our brethren who are inwardly bound to us and for whom He gave Himself as sacrifice. …”

– Karl Marx

Karl Marx??? Hold the bus.

Yes. It’s an excerpt Richard Wurmbrand found in Marx’s first book, amazingly titled, “The Union of the Faithful with Christ”.

For yours is the Kingdom

November 29, 2010

and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Matthew 6:13b

But rather seek you the Kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. Luke 12:31-32

The Kingdom of God is not food and drink

November 27, 2010

but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Romans 14:17-18

Righteousness, peace and joy are not inanimate physical objects which you can secure, or hold in your hands, and say, Ah! Now I’ve got it! They describe what it’s like to know Jesus. Therefore, they are the fruits of knowing Him : they describe knowing Him.

And righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit describes the Kingdom of God. Therefore, to pray daily, Your Kingdom come, means that the revelation of Jesus Christ will come, and increase and grow in the lives of those whom we pray for.

We’re not just praying for others needs, but for their REAL need, which is to know Jesus.

Do we need to know the LORD Jesus better than we do? Then pray, Your Kingdom come…

SEEKING the Kingdom

November 25, 2010

But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

How do you seek the Kingdom? When do you seek the Kingdom? Have you been seeking the Kingdom today? And did you find the Kingdom you were seeking?

Excuse me, i’ll be back in a while, i’m just going to seek the Kingdom. : )

And His righteousness.

The fear of letting go and letting God

November 24, 2010

I want to share some things on this, pertaining to what holds many Christians back from joyfully living the NT church life, as our brethren did at the beginning. In the mean time, if anyone has anything to say on this, please do.

That the word of the LORD may have free course

November 24, 2010

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the LORD may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. But the LORD is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil. And we have confidence in the LORD concerning you, that you both do and will do the things which we command you. And the LORD direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

Here is a description of Church and the Christian life : It’s about the word of the LORD having free course, and not being restricted or hindered. And it’s about the word of the LORD being glorified. Unreasonable and wicked men hinder the free course of the word of the LORD. Sustained prayer is needed to see the word of the LORD have free course.

Even when we get jaded

November 23, 2010

and this life and world seems to lose it’s lustre, and the things which we once were so enthusiastic about lose their appeal ; Jesus still calls us to follow Him. I think He leads us to such places so that we understand more fully that our LIFE is to follow Him, and not anything else. It’s about Him. So, even if we feel we’re getting to a dead-end, we’re really not. Even if we feel we’re running on empty, we’re not, if we have decided to follow Him. Surely He arranges this so that we focus more on serving Him.

In every relationship we have

November 22, 2010

the Kingdom of God should be manifest. Isn’t it a wonderful thing that God has made us relational?! We want quality relationships more than quantity.

It’s an interesting challenge, in these last days, to ask believers how many genuine relationships they have in the Body of Christ. It begins in our home and family, eh.

British pupils taught to cut off hands

November 22, 2010

Pupils at Islamic schools across Britain are being taught how to chop off a criminal’s hand, a BBC investigation has found.

A text book for 15-year-olds advises: “For thieves, their hands will be cut off for a first offence and their foot for a subsequent offence.”

“The specified punishment of the thief is cutting off his right hand at the wrist. Then it is cauterised to prevent him from bleeding to death,” it added.

What’s in it for me?

November 22, 2010

I was reading an article by an Aussie journo of a press conference she was in with Henry Kissinger. He walked into the room and asked them all, Tell me why I’m here? They all laughed, thinking he was joking. He wasn’t. He then clarified that by saying, What I mean is, What’s in it for me?

God’s attention is on you

November 21, 2010

Yes, His eye is on 6 billion precious souls currently living on the planet, and yet the eye of Almighty God is on you, as if you were the only person on earth.

We need to be aware that our Father always beholds us. His attention on us never relaxes, even for a moment. In this light and knowledge we should behold Him always. Whenever we turn toward Him we should understand that He’s always turned toward us.

The Kingdom comes from Heaven

November 20, 2010

Your kingdom come. Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

We are to daily pray that God’s Kingdom come. Where does it come from? Heaven. A Christian can only live by what comes down from Heaven. He goes into Heaven, to the Throne of Grace, into the Holiest place by the precious Blood of the Lamb, to receive grace to live for Jesus.

That’s why we are to never cease in this request to the Father, so that His Kingdom will perpetually be coming down from Heaven and into our life. We are truly connected to Heaven, to His Throne. Then, our life shows what Heaven is like, what the King of Heaven is like, for He is daily manifest in our life, as His Kingdom comes and as His will is done.
