You observe days…

But now, after you have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn you again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage? You observe days, and months, and times, and years. Galatians 4:9-10

We don’t observe days. It’s as simple as that. There is only an ETERNAL LIFE in Christ, nothing else. And as we live from this LIFE of Christ we come to learn there are no special, holy days anymore.

To our friends in Christ Jesus who celebrate Christmas, please be assured that just bcos we don’t celebrate it, it doesn’t mean we look down on you or have anything against you for doing it.

Just to clarify, we don’t put any pressure on any of our friends here in India over whether they celebrate it or not.

We want Christians to be FREE people.

If Christians criticize us for not celebrating it, it means nothing to us, for we are free in Christ.

Some have insinuated that we are cultic for not celebrating Christmas, or that the children are “missing out” on something. That opinion is so stupid, and pathetic, that it makes you wonder. :)

Well, it’s Christmas morning here in India, and i don’t feel any “Christmas cheer”, or “festive spirit”, or whatever. I feel the same as yesterday, which is great, living in His peace. I must be the Grinch who stole Christmas!

Nah, i just can’t fake it.

May we all have a great day in Jesus! as usual.

It is encouaging to find that there are other true believers who feel the same way we do about the pagan roots of Christmas. People are not interested in the truths of the Word any more and those are indeed the very signs of the days we are living. God Bless you.

    Thanks brother.

For me, i like to do things by the Holy Spirit, and not just bcos some nutjob from the 3rd century decided that i should.

The saddest part is the lack of critical thinking on the part of professing Christians.
