Weary – J. Randall Easter

There was war again between the Philistines and Israel, and David went down together with his servants, and they fought against the Philistines. And David grew weary.
(2 Samuel 21:15)

The life of David is a remarkable one that is filled with hardship and victory. From the very beginning of his life, he is brought into the battle. He faces Goliath early on when no one else will go out and fight.

David lives many years in the fear of death at the hand of king Saul. He is betrayed, slandered, and ridiculed by the likes of his own Son – Absalom, his own wife – Michal, the counselor to Israel – Ahithophel, the servant of Saul – Ziba, the family member of Saul – Shemei, his own commander – Joab, a worthless man named Sheba, and numerous others could be listed along the way.

He was tormented by those over him, those under him, and those around him. He took abuse from his wife, his closest friends, and most assuredly from his enemies. David did not experience a life of ease, but rather a life that was filled with difficulties. It is for certain that David was not sinless in his life and it is for sure that many things that happened to him were a result of his own transgressions, but God had called him and set him apart to lead Israel and it is for certain that David had a heart for God (1 Sam. 13:14).

In all of David’s ups and downs we find him toward the end of life in war again. When most men would have given up and quit, David picks up his sword one more time to face the next giant that comes his way. David has the heart of a warrior. Although his body is weak and feeble he rises to the occasion for the glory of his God and the good of the people that he leads. David grew weary or faint as the text says, but David did not run and hide. David did not give up.

David did not throw in the towel. David did not succumb to the pressures of men and women around him. David did not fold to the opinion of the day. David fought! David stood his ground and the Lord sent Abishai to help him in his time of need. The Lord will always come to the aid of those who will stand by faith. The Lord strengthens those who endure for him.

Dearly beloved, do not grow weary with well doing. Press on for the glory of God from one battle to the next. Thousands of once committed men quit to the shame of their God and the embarrassment of the church, but those who endure to the end will be saved. Quit yourself like a man and endure to the end for the glory of God.

Royal Wedding

I’ve been dialoging a little lately about “religious babylon” (Rev 17). If anything embodies and defines what religious babylon is, it is exemplified in events like the Royal Wedding, yesterday.

Kate’s brother read out Romans 12:1-2 : Don’t be conformed to the world! And the fake preacher, in fancy-dress, and all the gathered crowd of millionaires, homosexuals, leaders of all religions, and just generally lost people, all said, Amen!

But notice that the Word of God DID go out, regardless? (And praise God for that) THAT is religious babylon. It’s not Hinduism or Islam, it is false Christianity.

Unto you who believe He is precious

Therefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious: and he that believes on Him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore who believe He is precious: but unto them who are disobedient, the stone which the builders rejected, the same is made the head of the corner, And, A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense, even to them who stumble at the word, being disobedient: to which also they were appointed. 1 Peter 2:6-8

He IS precious.

It’s also a decision we make, to esteem Him as most precious to our hearts.

Your faith grows exceedingly

and the love of every one of you all toward each other abounds; So that we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure: Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:

Well, that was back in the “Bible days”, brother Ian, and Christianity has advanced so much since those primitive beginnings!

King David and Nabal

David heeded Abigail’s advice and changed his mind, from one of seeking his own revenge upon Nabal, to one of letting God deal with Nabal.

And when David did that, God immediately dealt with Nabal.

Jesus knows you

better than you know yourself.

I find that extremely comforting. Those who love the things of this world would find that quite disturbing, unless it is that they have a counterfeit jesus : a substitute, whom they call, jesus.

It was a trap!

I was wondering, Why did Obama purposely create a controversy, by stalling for so long to get his Long-Form Birth Certificate and declare it?

Then it dawned on me, What a political master-stroke!

IT WAS A TRAP! And they took the bait.

It was his plan to create a controversy, and MAKE the Republicans believe he wasn’t born in the USA; get them to make his legitimacy a major issue; get them on a roller-coaster ride; get Trump all fired-up; and then, right on cue, reveal the Birth Certificate, and make Trump and the Republicans look stupid.

Looks like it worked.

Wilkerson was driving east on U.S. 175 in Texas, and moved into the opposite lane where a tractor trailer was driving westbound. The truck driver saw the car and tried to move out of the way, but still collided with the car head on, according to Public Safety Trooper Eric Long.

It’s unclear what caused Wilkerson to veer into the other lane. His wife Gwen was also involved in the crash and rushed to the hospital, along with the truck driver.

Frugality

is just one way of expressing your thankfulness to God for the things He has given you. It shows we REALLY APPRECIATE every single thing He gives, and want to be good stewards. Extravagance, squandering and wastefulness shows the opposite.

Born in the USA

Looks like case dismissed, it’s over, and the whole thing was a dead end.

Reportedly, Obama applied for a Long Form only on April 22, and the White House has just released it. It has the name of the hospital in Honolulu.

It still doesn’t explain why he spent so much in legal fees trying to avoid disclosing the Long Form? And by not obtaining a Long Form previously, he created the controversy.

on death-row in Pakistan for “blasphemy”. Last i heard she had chicken pox and was in poor health after 3 months in solitary confinement. And i just read a report she is fasting in jail. We can’t imagine what she and her family are going through.

Everything in the Kingdom of God works thru and by love.

The thing our brother rightly points out here is, that if the true fear of God is missing, then THERE IS no love of God.

Rather, a soulish, counterfeit love takes the place of the true, holy love of God.

About love

I think the supreme manifestation of Christ’s love in us is when we can love our enemies and love those who persecute us, or slander us.

Certainly, that is Christ’s goal for His people, that we do mature to a place where we GENUINELY love our enemies. That the love of Christ be perfected in us.

And, i spose, if we can barely love our friends, then we have no hope of loving our enemies, yet.

The day that you were created

Angels were instantly created. No embryo, foetus or birth. In an instant they realized they had just been created. Oh, I just got created!

It’s an interesting thought. In their memory, they know and remember the day they were created.

It’s all a part of acknowledging the Glory of our Creator. You might want to call that worship.

By all means stand outside an abortion clinic and PREACH JESUS

You can then mention, in the context of the Gospel, that abortion is murder.

I think that if a Christian feels the Holy Spirit has called then only to protest and not preach Jesus, that they are deluded.

I think most American Christians are deeply deluded. (Not just America, but the whole western world, which has been influenced by the false Christianity which has emanated from America)

The whole paradigm they have built is so fake, that they can longer tell what is real from what is fake. Fake is normal.
