The message is sacred

July 31, 2011

but the methods must change ! ??

Prophets

July 31, 2011

simply tell what they’ve heard or seen. They may not fully understand what they’ve heard or seen, and they may not be able to apply it into the reality of the life of God’s people (His Church). Therefore the different gifts need to complement one another.

Lacking in nothing

July 31, 2011

But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing. James 1:4

If we are impatient then we still lack. I spose impatience wouldn’t be considered a sin, these days.

The religious system makes people think that without that system they will lack something or be incomplete. It breeds a dependency on the system. But James said that if you let patience have her perfect work you will lack nothing.

Similarly, Peter said: For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:8

So, you CAN be the man or woman God intended you to be, in Christ, even without joining the religious system, by being joined to the Body of Christ thru REAL fellowship and relationship (Ephesians 4:16).

You don’t have to subscribe to the religious system in order to be lacking in nothing.

How to change the course of a river

July 30, 2011

a) Make a great earthquake happen so that there is a great upheaval and the river changes course.

b) Make a great flood so that the river bursts its banks and takes another course entirely.

In other words, a river wouldn’t normally change its course. Likewise, people don’t normally change the direction their life is taking unless something drastic happens, like meeting the risen LORD Jesus Christ.

Blessed is the man that trusts in Him

July 30, 2011

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him. O fear the LORD, you his saints: for there is no lack to them that fear him. Psalm 34:8-9

Thus says the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD. For he shall be like the shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when the heat comes, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be anxious in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:5-8

Trust = Blessed

Trust.

Excellence in ministry

July 30, 2011

They talk about “excellence in ministry”, but their understanding of what excellence in ministry is means that the LORD Jesus and the Apostles did NOT have excellence in ministry, for they didn’t have any of the things which Hillsongs believe constitute it or define it.

The first century churches wouldn’t even qualify as churches or ministries according to the likes of Hillsongs.

So we are dealing with a lying spirit which has blinded these people from seeing who Jesus really is, and what His Church is. But more to the point, we are dealing with the base desires of the flesh, and false teachers who appeal to those desires.

That you may attend upon the LORD without distraction

July 30, 2011

1 Corinthians 7:29-35

Have we attended upon the LORD today?

Have we been distracted from attending upon the LORD today?

Are we truly His servants, whom He can command to do His work – His workers ?

Hell’s Bell

July 29, 2011

http://www.hellsbell.net/

A new site by my friend and brother Sean Scott. Highly recommended.

You know, Bell’s analogies and questions would make sense, if it wasn’t for all those pesky things Jesus said – all those Bible verses that get in the way.

PLEASE SEE the video by Todd Friel in Comments. Highly recommended!

How great is mankind’s blindness?

July 28, 2011

But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:23

Take heed therefore that the light which is in you be not darkness. Luke 11:35

How great is that darkness means how great is that blindness. A whole generation blind to the glory of God in Jesus Christ.

May many be healed of their blindness before it’s too late. May many see Jesus.

Rick Perry – cultural surrender

July 28, 2011

He’s been the favorite son of the prayer movements and the NAR – powerful Christian lobby groups. He was also supported by Joseph Farah, until now: Rick Perry fooled me

What Rick Perry is advocating here is cultural surrender.

I know, i know. You can’t transform the world. Just good to keep in touch.

‘Doctor’ or ‘Brother’ – A.W. Pink

July 28, 2011

What strange methods God sometimes employs in teaching His Children much needed lessons! This has recently been the writer’s experience. I have been approached by a “university” to accept from them a degree of “D. D.” Asking for time to be given so that I might prayerfully seek from God, through His written word, a knowledge of His will, fuller light came than was expected.

I had very serious doubt’s as to the permissibility of one of God’s servants accepting a title of fleshly honor. I now perceive that it is wrong for me to receive it even complimentary.

Gladness of heart

July 28, 2011

Because you served not the LORD your God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things… Deuteronomy 28:47

You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Psalm 100:2

Gladness of heart and joy has to come to the person who beholds the LORD and is thankful for all they have received from Him.

In Deuteronomy 28 it tells of the reason why God’s people could disobey the commands of the LORD and not obey His voice : it’s bcos they lost their joy. They lost their joy bcos they were no longer mindful of the abundance they had in Him.

And it doesn’t say they stopped serving God, it says they stopped serving Him joyfully and with gladness of heart.

Instead of trying to generate joy: rather, bow down before the King and take the time to be mindful of all that IS YOURS in Christ Jesus, thanking Him, and joy will accompany you and strengthen you, and motivate you.

THE CHURCH – DIFFERENT FROM the WORLD – A.W. Tozer

July 27, 2011

Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate,” says the Lord. “Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” – 2 Corinthians 6:17

The church’s mightiest influence is felt when she is different from the world in which she lives. Her power lies in her being different, rises with the degree in which she differs and sinks as the difference diminishes.

And I saw heaven opened

July 27, 2011

and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon it was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a robe dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And out of his mouth goes forth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he has on his robe and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in midheaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great.

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that worked miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. Revelation 19:11-21

This will literally happen very soon. The time is near. When Jesus comes He will slaughter a vast proportion of the population. Certainly, the political and religious leaders are the first on His hit list, it says here. The earth will be filled with rotting dead bodies and the birds will be filled eating their flesh.

The scenario here of Jesus and His army coming down onto the earth and being met by a gathering of armies coming to fight against Him, is amazing to me. We need to remember that Jesus is a Man. He is returning as the crucified and risen, flesh and bone Man, Christ Jesus. He will set foot on the Mount of Olives. He will lead a real army of His saints from heaven (those of us who were faithful to Him) onto the earth. It will be a real battle. Real birds will eat the corpses of the fallen.

Emerging theology

July 26, 2011

breeds Atheism in a generation of young people.

Unmovable

July 26, 2011

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, since you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58

Unmovable, here, suggests that there are spiritual forces trying to move us and hinder us from always abounding in the work of the LORD. How many remain unmovable and continue to abound in the work of the LORD, and how many get hijacked and no longer abound in the work of the LORD?

Unmovable. Are we unmovable or easily moved?

Pray for Yousef Nadarkhani

July 26, 2011

in Iran and also for Asia Bibi in Pakistan, both on death row for their faith in Jesus.

Imagine the outrage if Israel was going to hang a Muslim for their faith and offered them freedom if they would simply renounce their faith? Imagine the global condemnation! But hardly a tweet about what Iran wants to do to Yousef. It shows how the whole world is bewitched by the spirit of Islam and is immersed in the antisemitic spirit.

Be followers of me, even as I also am of Christ

July 25, 2011

Now I praise you, brethren, because you remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. 1 Corinthians 11:1-2

Does this fit today? Is Paul our Apostle today, whom we should follow? Would it be appropriate today to consider yourself a follower of Paul, as an Apostle of Christ? (That is, to remember everything he said and do it, today)

You bet it does! Otherwise, explain how things have changed? When did the change happen? When did Paul’s Apostleship become obsolete? Name the exact date the Church should have ceased to follow Paul’s teachings, and by who’s authority?

So then it is not of him that wills

July 24, 2011

nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Romans 9:16

A recipient of God’s mercy knows this, and is all the stronger for knowing this. Good fruit – the fruit of righteousness springs out of knowing this.

Add to godliness brotherly kindness

July 24, 2011

and [add] to brotherly kindness love. 2 Peter 1:7

Love is even more than brotherly kindness. Yet even brotherly kindness is rare these days.
