You have kept the word of my patience

Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Revelation 3:10

He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Revelation 13:10

And the smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 14:11-12

Jesus is incredibly patient. We should learn patience from Him and have it accordingly. His word is such that it requires patience to keep, to adhere to : Keeping His commands and keeping His faith.

Patience and faith are inseparably linked, here.

Jesus our Brother

If the Spirit of God leads the lost to the Son of God, could it be that “another spirit” is how the devil leads the whole world to the antichrist?

Yes, by “another spirit” and “another gospel” the devil will deceive the whole world to worship “another jesus”, who will be the antichrist.

The Bible teaches there is another spirit, another gospel and another Jesus. If God is God, why would such deception exist? The answer is very simple. Satan, the father of lies, is the great deceiver who wants to be God. His plan is to deceive the world in the name of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Therefore, if the Spirit of God leads the lost to the Son of God, could it be that “another spirit” is how the devil leads the whole world to the antichrist? These are questions that every Christian should think about, especially in the Last Days when deception is on the increase.

The devil’s ultimate goal is to stand in the place of the LORD Jesus Christ and be the “jesus” that christendom worships. Not to turn people away from Jesus, but to provide them another jesus and another spirit – a jesus who doesn’t require genuine repentance, so that even those in rebellion against God can feel and experience the “unconditional love” of this fake jesus (another gospel, 2 Cor 11:1-4, Gal 1:6-9).

Immanuel walked on the earth

and few could see that He is God with us. God was there with them and they didn’t know it.

In a similar sense, God the Holy Spirit comes into believers in Jesus, and even still, they hardly seem aware that the Living God is in them and with them. Or, we find it hard to remain aware that this is a fact, to sustain that knowledge, or we can barely grasp this stupendous truth in the first place.

Much of modern Christian beliefs about the “coming and going” of the presence of God, and much of modern Christian lifestyle betrays that they don’t believe that Almighty God lives in them.

Do you remember the LORD of Glory when you are layng on your bed at night? Do you spend a lot of time thinking about Him and talking to Him as you lay there?

Some earthquakes which were caused by God

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. Great is Mega in Greek. Mega earthquakes will be caused by God as a call to repent.

Jesus will take you as seriously

as you take Him and His words and commands.

Too much of Christianity is a one-way street, when in reality it’s a two-way street.

And it’s the same dynamic which governs our fellowship with each other in the Church. Our fellowship together is only as deep and as meaningful as our fellowship with the LORD Jesus is meaningful and real. If we take Jesus seriously we take fellowship seriously – we no longer separate the two, for He is in the midst of His people.

This came to me this morning as i expressed a desire to the LORD that i would understand His will and purposes better. I felt He spoke in my spirit that i’m getting an understanding of Him and His will that is commensurate with how seriously i take Him. Then it occured to me, as it often has, that this is His principle of honor. It is not becoming for a King to honor a man more than that man is willing to honor the King.

He shall teach you all things

But the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26

But the anointing which you have received of Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as He has taught you, you shall abide in Him. 1 John 2:27

What did He teach you today, or this week?

When your child comes home from school and you ask, What did you learn today? What if they say they didn’t learn anything? It would show something is wrong.

Wonder how many of us have sat at the feet of the true Teacher today and leaned something from Him? I think that’s a key, that we truly come to Him as our Teacher, earnestly desiring to be instructed by Him in His Word, in the Way in which we should go.

…And even as He has taught you, you shall abide in Him.

The nature of His teaching concerns our abiding in Him. It relates to abiding.

The Teacher knows what we need to learn from Him today. Are we willing to be taught by Him?

The authentically heavenly-minded Christian

is the most practical person in real life, bcos they have Heaven’s answer and way for every practical aspect of life. For them, the Kingdom comes on earth as it is in Heaven. Only by us seeing the Heavenly (the LORD Jesus) can the Heavenly touch everything in our practical life.

And this is how we tell true spirituality from a counterfeit. The counterfeit never transforms a person’s character and nature and conforms them to Christ in a practical way, yet they have so many spiritual experiences and revelatons.

Performing a performance is not submission to God

The meaning of Islam is supposed to be submission to a god named Allah. But not one Muslim actually submits to “allah” anyway.

(You can’t submit to an idol, bcos such a “god” does not exist. You can’t submit to someone you don’t know. You can’t know an idol, as it is not a person, it is dead).

What they do, therefore, is not personal, spiritual submission, it is a religious performance, and there’s a vast difference between the two. They do not pray, they perform prayers, and there’s a vast difference.

Of course, i’m referring to a Christianity which is a performance and not true submission to Jesus Christ. Nominal, carnal, cultural Christianity puts the stress on a person’s external performance performed TO God, rather than a broken and submitted life of true worship, in Spirit and Truth, IN Christ Jesus.

He doesn’t want us to give Him a performance. He wants us to yield everything to Him in love and faith.

These people don’t want to know the heart of God. They don’t have time for that. They are so busy performing their religious performance that they don’t get time to fellowship with God. Their whole sense of self-worth hinges on whether or not they have “performed” their prayers today etc. They don’t want to understand the Kingdom of God, the Truth that is in Jesus. They have no time to wait on God. All they want is instructions: How to do this or that, when to do it….. What should I be doing? etc… The focus is on externals and not the heart, or the Holy Spirit’s leading and instruction.

And the religious system is there to cater to that need, to keep them on that religious treadmill, so that they can maintain that feeling that they are keeping up their performance and establishing their own righteousness. No different to Islam or Hinduism.

And bcos these Christians only know or care for external, outward things, or appearances, that is all they look for in others : always inspecting others performance.

Naked Israelis

Just a few days before the Arabs, living in the Biblical Land of Israel, make a bid to get recognition of statehood at the UN (on Tuesday) 1000 Israelis have stripped naked at the Dead Sea for a photo shoot.

It’s a scene reminiscent of the Holocaust, only this time they are doing it willingly.

The symbolism and timing is uncanny.

Born of God

But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name: Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13

Do you think of yourself as born of God? Do you remember the day of your birth, when God became your Father? Do you view your conversion as the act of God fathering you? Do you see this as a deliberate, planned conception, on His part? As our text stresses, that conversion is a deliberate act of the will of God the Father, conceiving His children, thru faith in His Son.

You were not born of an earthly father. God was your Father. God fathered you.

And you He has made alive

who were dead in trespasses and sins…

Faith is a gift from God.
