My peace I give unto you

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

That’s what we need: the peace that Jesus has, and freely gives to us. His peace.

It may seem a little hard to understand how Jesus can give us His own peace, but He can. He can share His peace with us. We can experience the peace that is His.

He says here that the world also offers a kind of peace, but His is altogether different.
