Only the Person who made us can fulfill us

Only the Person who made us can fulfill us, bcos He made us for Himself. The human longing for inner-fulfillment and inner-peace is simply the hunger or the void created by the absence of this Person who made us – it’s simply the absence of Him.

Therefore, all that is required for a man to be utterly miserable and perfectly desolate is that he simply be without God.

We have driven our Maker out of His temple by our sins, for we have defiled and polluted His holy temple. And only this same Person, who redeemed us from our sins, can fill the empty space within, and fulfill us, and give us peace that our sins are forgiven and the assurance that we have been reconciled to God our Father. His name is Jesus.

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst. John 6:35

In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water. John 7:37-38
