What is the worst thing that could ever happen to you? Sin.
What is the most dangerous thing on the planet? Sin.
What is the most destructive power in this world? Sin.
What is your greatest enemy? Sin.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we should no longer serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we are dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him… Rom. 6:6-8
At the Cross your old man was crucified and died with Christ so that the power of sin was destroyed. He that is dead is freed from sin. Sin’s power has been destroyed bcos your old man has died with Christ. If your old man is dead then he can no longer come under the power of sin again.
How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer in it? Rom. 6:2
Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom. 6:11
