The whole counsel of God in an Assembly

An Assembly of saints must seek to have the whole counsel of God from Scripture. This is only possible if the plurality of gifts are recognized, encouraged and embraced. Where an Assembly is based around one man’s gift it will naturally specialize in that man’s gift and be unbalanced. Only a plurality of elders and giftings ensures the whole counsel of God and therefore a balanced and mature people of God.

From whom the whole body being fitly joined together and knit together by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:16

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety. Proverbs 11:14
