Sensitivity to the indwelling Holy Spirit

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would. But if you be led of the Spirit, you are not under the law. Galatians 5:16-18

If this is transpiring within you, that your flesh is lusting against the Holy Spirit in you, and the Spirit in you is against your flesh and is leading you in victory over it – if this is really going on inside you then you would really need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit in this: Victory, if you heed the Spirit, and defeat if you don’t, meaning that the person who is insensitive to the Holy Spirit in them is living a defeated life, for their flesh will dominate. And note that the key ministry of the Holy Spirit in us, as described here, is to lead us in victory over our own flesh.
