Attending Church

April 22, 2014

I would not go to a church if it is based on the understanding that you are attending it, like as if you were attending the cinema or a concert. The reason i would not is that in Christ we are the people of God – we are a people, a new race of people – holy, separated unto God, and it would be an insult to our God to view the gathering together of His people as if it were some show or event you merely attend as a member of the audience.

If Christians had a revelation of who Jesus is, and who they are in Him, and of the purpose – the reason why He calls us together in His name, they would no longer attend a church which is not committed to obeying His ways, nor submit to a pastor who is not willing to submit to the Scripture truth concerning the church.

If a Christian leader is in conflict with the original Apostles, with their commands for the church, then they are not a leader, period. Whatever they are building is not the church of Christ. If you had met Paul, this is what he would have told you.

God builds from the roots, just as plants grow from the roots up. YOU are one of those roots. Nothing will change until YOU take responsibility for the part God has given you to contribute toward the edifying of His body in love.

Leaders are never to blame. It’s the people, who, after having read their Bibles, and know what Jesus requires them to do, still merely “attend” a church and go along with the flow, and unwittingly become contributors to the apostasy, the great falling away. They don’t take their place in the body of Christ. They don’t stand up for the truth, so THEY are still part of the problem.

Are you part of the answer, or are you still part of the problem?

Do you want deliverance?

April 22, 2014

If Jesus has delivered you from the power of sin in times past, but not now, this reveals that the only issue now is whether you want to be delivered.

Accustomed to the darkness

April 22, 2014

This is what Bible prophecy says about Christianity in the very last days: That Christians would become so accustomed to the darkness that the light of God’s Word will seem threatening to them – so accustomed with the fake that they no longer appreciate the real.

Interfering…

April 22, 2014

Sometimes i get the feeling i’m interfering with someone’s love affair: a love affair they are having with themselves.

The sweet smell of success

April 21, 2014

The Roman Catholic Church is the most successful Christian organization in history. If you want to be successful, forget the TV preachers and go and join the Catholics and learn how they became so successful. First step to success: Throw your Bible away…

Makes you wonder

April 21, 2014

You wonder why God went to the trouble of writing the Bible when nobody obeys it anymore.

Without holiness no man shall see the Lord

April 21, 2014

(Hebrews 12:9-17)

The Father’s chastening/discipline is so …”that we might be partakers of his holiness.”

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”

First-love

April 20, 2014

If we are in the process of abandoning our first-love for Jesus, then we are in the process of losing everything. We don’t lose our first-love, as much as we neglect and abandon it. Our first-love comes first. You live for Him and obey His words bcos you love Him, period. You don’t do it for the “blessings”.

Chipping

Here’s another way of looking at it: Who or what is going to stop this technology being taken to its logical conclusion? Is there any opposition? That would be like trying to swim against the tide.

Was it a good idea after all?

April 20, 2014

When the church has the Lord’s Supper then people don’t go around wishing everyone a happy Lord’s Supper, right? Jesus and the Apostles gave us the Lord’s Supper. Some other dudes gave us Easter. They thought it was a good idea. But was it a good idea after all?

If Paul, Peter and John had wanted the believers to celebrate the Passover they would have said so, right? If it was done by believers in the first century there would have been a mention of it somewhere in the epistles. Rather, we, the gentiles, are told we are free from all such Jewish customs (Acts 15).

Easter was formed when the paganized “Christians” in Rome wanted to replace the Jewish Passover with a Christian festival in the 3rd century.

All the things Joel Osteen won’t tell you

April 20, 2014

It’s not about Joel, it could be any smiley preacher on television, or mega-church pastor, or wannabe mega-church pastor: Just think of all the things they will never tell you.

You’ve read the Bible, right? Then you will know that these guys ignore most of it.

Now, Christians are supposed to be disciples of Jesus Christ, right? Then how do these guys totally ignore most of what Jesus taught and commanded?

Why do they never teach on most of the subjects or issues raised in the NT? Why don’t they live as per the example set by the Lord Jesus and His Apostles and Prophets?

Paul labored in teaching the church how to be the church in THE WAY of Jesus Christ, as His body, giving glory to Him, and yet these guys totally ignore 95% of what Paul taught.

You know all the stuff they won’t tell you? That’s the good stuff.

Preaching as one under authority

April 20, 2014

And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power (authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matt. 28:18-20

Jesus has all authority in all the earth, and with this confidence we are to go into all the earth under His authority and speak of Him, under His authority. If you are confidently rested in His authority and are under His authority then you can boldly proclaim the good news in public, in all the earth. The only real issue concerning preaching the good news to the world is the issue of authority. The reason hardly anyone preaches the good news is bcos few are under His authority, and this is why they fear man.

In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength

April 20, 2014

For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: but you would not. Isaiah 30:15

Spiritual strength to endure is not gained by loudness but in the quietness of trust. True confidence is as true authority: it does not need to be loud.

There are people who need your prayers

April 20, 2014

There are people who need your prayers. The Holy Spirit is revealing their names to you, or, you see their face appear to you in your spirit. Now, it’s over to you…

Life produces death

April 19, 2014

We cannot talk about the life of Christ independently of the death of sin and self, for it is His life which produces the death of sin and self, so where there is no death of sin and self there is no life of Christ.

Love the Giver more than the gift

April 19, 2014

In any gift we receive from God we are supposed to love the Giver more than the gift.

Receiving a gift should invoke even more love for the Giver.

Enjoy every sandwich. Take the time to thank the Giver, and love Him more…

Are you going to rule over nations?

April 19, 2014

But that which you have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to pieces: even as I received of my Father. Rev. 2:25-27

The one who “keeps my works unto the end” is one who, by the power of the Holy Spirit, rules his own life and actions, his own flesh, his own thoughts.

Jesus rules in a person in this order: He brings us into conformity to Him – He rules in us by empowering us to rule our life in submission to Him.

It’s like when a General gives orders to his Commander, and in turn his Commander gives orders to his Captain, and so on : There is a chain of command, but there is only ONE authority in effect, and that is the authority of the General.

Similarly, when Christ truly rules us, only then can we truly rule ourselves, and bring our mind and flesh under submission to Him.

If we have submitted to Christ’s rule over us, and ruled ourselves with a rod of iron, then we will rule the nations with Christ, with a rod of iron.

Defiled Garments

April 19, 2014

You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white clothing; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Rev. 3:4-5

This should cause the disciple of Jesus to be even more circumspect, when he realizes that he has the ability to defile the robe of Christ’s righteousness freely given him to cover his nakedness.

It is implied here that those Christians who refuse to repent of defiling their garments could have their names blotted out of the book of life.

It’s tragic that only a few Christians in Sardis did not defile their garments. Judgment Day will reveal the true condition of Christianity today.
