You don’t have them any longer

April 19, 2015

When you cast all your cares on the Lord it means you don’t have them any longer.

When you throw a ball to someone it is no longer in your hand.

Expressing Gratitude

April 18, 2015

The greatest way to express your thanks and gratitude to Jesus is to obey Him.

In the ages to come…

April 18, 2015

Will what you believe, teach, preach and do today still be relevant in the ages to come? If not, then adjust to eternal values.

The world is not worthy of them

April 18, 2015

They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. Hebrews 11:37-40

The Lamb is worthy. Only the Lamb who was slain is worthy of honor, glory and praise. Those who follow the Lamb must walk in a manner worthy of Him.

And the world is not worthy of those who have been made worthy by the Blood of the Lamb. If the world is not worthy of them, they are not worthy of the world. The world is far below what they are worthy of. The worthy don’t belong in an unworthy world, and they don’t belong to an unworthy world.

Whenever they begin to get entangled with the world they are acting in a manner unworthy of the Lamb.

The above passage highlights how, historically, those who have had genuine faith have never belonged to this world. They had strong faith, and yet they had nothing of this world. Faith did not give them the world, it separated them even more from it, separating them unto God.

If you don’t belong to this world it is bcos the Lamb, whom you follow, does not belong to this world. You belong to Him, not this world, and to His eternal Kingdom.

The world won’t take our advice

April 17, 2015

When Christians try to change or reform a society by telling them what they should be doing, do they think satan and his subjects will heed their advice and reform?

If you study Revelation 17 deeply you see that ecclesiastical babylon has a voice in the world, and has political influence, but without converting the world. This is proof she is also part of the world, and not separated unto Christ.

A dependent child

April 17, 2015

Childlike humility (Matt. 18:3-4) means your utter dependency on your Father prohibits you from boasting, pride and arrogance. Just how much can a dependent child boast about?

The heavenly call to live a victorious life

April 17, 2015

True Christianity is the heavenly call to live a victorious life of faith in a world where you don’t belong – in a world which is against everything you believe.

Jonathan Edwards

April 16, 2015

Resolved, never to do anything which I should be afraid to do if it were the last hour of my life…

…How can you expect to dwell with God forever, if you so neglect and forsake him here?

Gems from “heaven”

April 16, 2015

To anyone who thinks God has made a gemstone, like a Ruby, appear out of nowhere for them: Get it tested by a jeweler. If it’s a real Ruby, or suchlike, you can sell it and thank the Lord for His provision. However, if it’s a cheap imitation plastic “gem” at least you know that God didn’t create it. He don’t create junk or imitations.

But, if you are afraid to get the “gem” tested, ask yourself why you’re afraid? Is it bcos you desperately need it to be real, and the possibility that it’s a plastic or glass imitation is just too painful to contemplate? If you need such things to be real, ask yourself, why? Are you looking for some proof about Jesus, apart from all the proofs He has given, both in His actions and promises?

One thing about such things is that they don’t prove anything about anything. Even if the devil created a real diamond and put it in your hand, you could go and cash it in and have no bad effects. It means nothing. BUT if you think it has some spiritual meaning or significance, THAT is deception.

The devil can’t create anything, but he probably can cause things to move from place to place, so he could make objects appear as though they were created on the spot.

Worthy of Jesus

April 16, 2015

Our thoughts, desires, motives, words and actions: Are they worthy of Jesus?

That’s the only criteria, really.

(see Matt. 10:37-38, Eph. 4:1, Col. 1:10)

Pretty serious

April 14, 2015

For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee [Israel]  shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

Isaiah 60:12

Reviving the heart

April 14, 2015

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah 57:15

Don’t try to prove anything

April 14, 2015

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25:39-40

The righteous were not even in the slightest bit self-conscious or self-aware they were serving God or doing the ministry when they WERE indeed serving God and doing the ministry.

And when love is performed as a demonstration then it ceases to be love. Never try and convince people you love them, by whatever means, just love them.

If you are trying to make unbelievers understand you love and care for them then you don’t yet really love them yet, and as well, they will perceive something fake in your demeanor: they will see thru it.

The command of Jesus upholds everything

April 11, 2015

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and UPHOLDING ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Hebrews 1:1-3

UPHOLDING ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER ………This means that everything that exists in the universe, from atoms and cells to galaxies, continues in existence and is sustained by the command of Jesus Christ.

UPHOLDING ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER means that it is only the command of Jesus by which things can stand. If He withdrew His command they would fall. And at His command the present universe will also be destroyed one day.

Peace will come

April 11, 2015

Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Peace of heart and mind comes with prayer. Anxiety comes from a refusal to pray and give thanks.

The most deluded man on earth

April 11, 2015

Out of the 7 billion humans presently inhabiting the planet, the most deluded individual would have to be the pope, that is, from a Biblical perspective.

Pulling the plug

April 11, 2015

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  I John 2:15-16

Pretty well comprehensively pulls the plug on modern Christianity.

The things of the world also means the principles and values of the world, of fallen humanity. The greatest deception is when these principles and characteristics of fallen man are mysteriously transformed into spiritual virtues: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life become camouflaged under a religious cover and find a religious justification and expression. In institutional church we are confronted with these three elements parading themselves as Christian virtues.

Enjoying a pure conscience

April 11, 2015

Conscience is not only in reference to the past, but also to the present and future. If our conscience concerning our past has been made pure and clean by faith in the blood of Christ, then we also look forward with a pure conscience, we don’t make any provision to fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Those who do intend to sin again cannot enjoy a pure conscience.

No greater love

April 11, 2015

No greater love has any man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

The process of laying down our lives for our brothers and sisters begins with sacrificing our time praying for their needs, when we could have used our time praying solely for our own needs.

All who seek do find

April 10, 2015

Seek and you shall find, Jesus said, meaning, those who did not find did not seek, bcos all who seek DO find. (Matthew 7:7-8)
