Spiritual Energy

May 31, 2016

There is “spiritual energy” we need to empower, refresh, revive, renew and strengthen our spirit, our inner man, and He’s much more than energy, He is a Person, He is God the Holy Spirit.

Our willingness to obey

May 31, 2016

The only thing which can limit or restrict our faith is our willingness to obey.

The reality of Christ

May 31, 2016

The true Christian has been translated into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, and is a new creation in Him, therefore they are plunged into the reality of who Jesus is – what is true for Him becomes true for them, and they face reality, as it were, from the position of being IN Christ. They don’t create their own reality, they don’t imagine things are not what they actually are, as if Jesus would ever do that,  they already live in the reality of Christ – they relate to others, and to the world around them, and to the fallen angelic realm, as Christ relates to them, having the very mind of Christ.

Freedom by the truth

May 29, 2016

When Jesus said “the truth shall make you free“, part of the meaning is that truth refers to how God sees things, and therefore in understanding why He sees things the way He does – why He requires certain things – what are His reasons for His commands – why He feels the way He does over any issue spelled out in scripture, we find true freedom. We can only truly agree with Him if we have understanding – some basis on which to agree, and then we begin to truly agree with Him, and we begin to become as free as He is.

“Naked Cowboy” at Hillsong conference

May 29, 2016

No, it’s not one of those parody things, it’s a fact.  He kept his jocks on, apparently.

This should remove any shadow of doubt that the leadership at Hillsong are a joke.

And what’s the kindest thing we could say about the audience,  the punters who keep them  cashed up?  Blind.

The only failure

May 29, 2016

Repost:  Moral failure is the only real failure – moral defeat, the only real defeat. In life, the only people who are failures are those who are moral failures.

A new morality

May 29, 2016

Morality won’t make you a new creation, but with the new creation comes a new morality.

Contempt for God’s order

May 28, 2016
Come Holy Spirit?

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” (Luke 11:13)

The order in scripture is always ask the Father in Jesus name.
So, why would it be painful for the modern Christian to ask the Father to pour out the Holy Spirit in Jesus name? Why is it difficult to simply comply with God’s order? It’s bcos counterfeit spirits delight in rejecting the divine order, as a form of contempt for God.

Sensitive

May 27, 2016

If we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit in moral matters we will be sensitive to Him in all matters.

What does Jesus think about it?

May 27, 2016

Firstly, “What does Jesus think about it?” … before, “What does anyone else think about it?

Worth more than the whole world

May 27, 2016

Jesus said, “What does it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his soul?”

This means one person’s soul is worth more than the whole world.

Not in touch with reality

May 26, 2016

Jesus could come today, or we could die today and go to Him, and this should be the basis of the reality of how we live our life, for any life lived not in harmony with this is a life not in touch with reality.

Would you buy a used car from this man?

May 26, 2016

When i see a Televangelist the first question i ask myself is, Would i buy a used car from this man?

You can’t improve it

May 26, 2016

And if you make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stone: for if you lift up your tool upon it, you have polluted it.” (Exodus 20:25)

This is a very powerful foreshadowing of God’s salvation in Christ. If you even slightly try to improve upon Jesus you lose everything. If your salvation has your mark upon it, or the mark of any man other than Jesus, then it is not approved by God.

What convinces us?

May 26, 2016

Concerning any matter in life, ultimately, it’s only scripture, the bible, which convinces me.

We are here now

May 24, 2016

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears…” (2 Timothy 4:2-3)

We are in this time now when very few can “endure” sound teaching.

If they can’t endure it, it means they find it painful to hear.

Sound teaching will be painful or boring and they can’t bear to listen to it.

It’s their own lust or desire which shapes their beliefs, and they go after teachers who will tell them they can live for themselves, according to their own fleshly desires, pride and covetousness, and still be a Christian and go to heaven.

Sound familiar? It should, cos we are living in this time now, prophesied by Paul so long ago.

Spectator

May 24, 2016

Life is too short to waste as a spectator in church.

When a church folds

May 23, 2016

An FB friend’s church folds bcos of financial problems, my response: You will never find in the New Testament a church which folded bcos they didn’t have enough money. If a church can fold for financial reasons it shows it never was a church, that is, was not based on genuine relationship.

The very quality that makes a New Testament assembly genuine is the same quality which makes it undesirable to the superficial Christian.

The superficial Christian may even have extreme private devotion, but they avoid real, lasting, faithful, abiding relationship.

Gonna meet Him soon

May 22, 2016

You would think folks would be more interested in Jesus since they’re gonna meet Him very soon.

Spend time

May 22, 2016

I spent time waiting on God and my faith was strengthened. Now, isn’t that interesting.
