We correctly use the word “evangelical” to denote those who believe the word of God concerning the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ, by grace, through faith, not works, with the fruits of repentance, and this includes both charismatics and non-charismatics, but “evangelical” is not a rubber stamp which approves everything evangelicals believe or practice. It’s a good term, for it denotes the basis by which we can begin to relate to one another as one people of God in Christ, and respectfully help all the body of Christ grow up into the Head, Jesus.
