A testimony

Chosen

Back to the thing about people being “chosen” by God… You choose things, right? Why can’t God choose? You choose to disobey him, right? Why can’t he choose to reject you? And…. if you find yourself chosen by God, it is such amazing grace it’s nothing to feel proud about, but a source of endless thanks to him.

No one is in a position to give God advice over his choices.

No power over them

For those of the truth, a lie has no power over them.

We see this preeminently in the life of the Lord Jesus, and the Apostles.

Salt, not sugar

Duplicitous

Jesse Duplicitous wants 54 million for his ego, signifying to the world he’s a fake, showing you (I hope) that the TV channels which carry him are fake, and the pastors and churches which support him are fake. It’s your signal to leave.

And if he gets his 54 million does it prove he is right? No, it just proves how many stupid Christians there are today.

Jesus could have had a billion Denarii if he wanted.

The thing is, what would he have done with it? It would have been of no use to him.

Faith is real

To Christians: Look around you, the things you see are real, and your faith is just as real as these things which you can see, hear, touch, taste and smell. We cant see our faith, but God can.

Backbone

Many Christians need to wear a T- shirt which has “Insert backbone here” written on the back.

You and I

You and I have to trust God the same as anyone else on the planet has to trust God. We’re in this together.

Mercy

Everything we have, we have received from God, but the greatest thing we have received is mercy. He had mercy on us, through Jesus Christ, his Son. By extending mercy on the basis of Christ’s sacrificial and atoning death for mankind, God can give us mercy without compromising his justice.

An encouragement

When you’re praying for someone and you see the Lord working in their life it encourages you to keep praying, for it means he has begun a good work in them, and, if so, why would you stop praying for them?

Do what you can

Do what you can, and don’t worry about what you can’t.

It’s good when the true colors are revealed

You would not want to be in the least surprised when Liberal Christians show more affinity with Islam than true Christianity, that is a perfectly natural development, and it’s always a good thing when Christians openly show themselves as fakes, that way you can avoid having them waste your time.

Liberal Christians have more of a problem with a Christian carrying a Bible than they do with a Muslim carrying a knife.

Empowering

The New Testament church pattern is the essence of simplicity, and this simplicity empowers all who participate, and empowers all to participate.

Your conscience won’t let you

The person with a good conscience before God can never make a business of the things of God.

Where has the Spirit gone?

How much of your life is of the Holy Spirit?

Believe

Believe every word of God because you believe him.

The heart

A soft heart can forgive.

A big heart can pray and give.

A strong heart can proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ.

A hard heart can do none of these.

Encounter with the fake

X:  I am a born again Christian! Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life!”

ME: “Are you living sexually pure with your boyfriend/girlfriend that you have been dating?”

X: “No, I am having sex with them, but we serve God together and go to Church together. Remember, no one is perfect. We all sin.”

ME: If 2 gays have sex and believe in Jesus, will they go to heaven?

X: “It’s not for me to judge. Only God can judge!”

ME: “God already judged it in His Word. He said fornicators, homosexuals, etc. will not go to heaven.”

X: “Gotta run! Bye!”

(This is devastating and just happened)

 

Shocked?

Why would we be shocked if the persecution gets as bad as it was in the first century? We think the western world has become too civilized for that. Think again.
