Can’t boast

While we are in this body we won’t comprehend how God saves us and sanctifies us without forcing us.

 

A guy is in jail, the jail door swings open, he hears a voice say, Get up! And get out of there!

 

He is not forced to leave, and there’s nothing he can take credit for in the mercy he’s received. He can’t boast that he saved himself.

Desire

A Christian should desire sanctification and holiness as much as he desires heaven.

Did we get the message?

If we read the Bible and we don’t have a message for the world, then we didn’t get the message.

The story of man

The story of man is one long power struggle story: the struggle for power, or the struggle for freedom: the struggle to dominate, or the struggle to be free from domination.

According to the Liberal narrative, Christians are supposedly white supremacists, but the majority of Christians today are Chinese, Indians, Africans and Latinos, so they are trying to brainwash the ignorant.

Friends

I’ve seen it many times, that the Christian who tries to be everyone’s friend ends up with no real friends.

Not so hard to understand

Jesus warns you to repent or you will die.

Assignment

Sunday morning, the demons assigned to you know what they have to do today, that is, keep you from real life fellowship.

 

They know their job, do we know ours?

Equity

The law is supposed to apply equally to all and be blind to prejudice.

 

If you’re going to arrest a man for speaking from the Bible, also arrest the man who speaks from the Koran.

 

But we know why that won’t happen.

Love the fact

Love the fact that the Holy Spirit of God dwells in my body 24/7.

 

And love the fact He always reminds me of this.

He knows what man will do

The foreknowledge of God is not God foreknowing what He will do, but He foreknowing what man will do.

 

Naturally, God knows what He’s going to do.

 

And, amazingly, God knows what man will do of his own free will.

 

There would be no point in God predestining someone to salvation if He already knew in advance they would refuse to believe.

 

But a lot of point in predestining those He knows will believe.

 

…”elect ACCORDING TO the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ”

 

1 Peter 1:2

 

Their election is according to God’s foreknowledge that they will believe.

 

“Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Fake honor

Honor people, certainly, but please don’t honor their religion unless you are willing to believe it and adhere to it and come under its laws.

Trust

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;

But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

Honor

If you honor a false teacher or prophet you are honoring the devil they serve.

Self comparison

Self comparison with others is always an exercise in pride.

God loves equity

John Macarthur rightfully criticizes the prosperity gospel, and yet his net worth is over 12 million. His salary is 160K.

 

On one hand, we can rightfully point out the chicanery of the NAR or Bethel crowd, but on the other, are we filled with the Holy Spirit, healing the sick, casting out demons?

 

God loves equity.
