“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8a
So, if God seems far away it must be because you don’t draw near to Him; it’s you who’s keeping away from Him. It’s as simple as that.
If you really, really wanted a burger you might draw near to Burger King, right?
When a Christian draws near to God it’s a glorious symphony of the spirit, the heart, the will, the mind and the tongue.
Simple church: you read the Bible together and discuss what it means and how it applies.
Simple evangelism: you mention who Jesus is, what He did, and what He promised.
Simple fellowship: you share one another’s joys and burdens, discuss your challenges in relation to God’s word, and pray for one another.
Simple giving: you don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.
Because the church system is complicated, people lose the simplicity of the Christian life.
In Revelation 17 there’s an image of a woman riding a beast, and, in the most basic terms, it symbolizes “Christians” (the woman) in league with the devil (the beast). And this relationship, which helps the woman get what she wants in the world, not surprisingly, doesn’t end well for her.
Christian, spiritually, how can you sell what you got for free, and what is not even yours to begin with?
A true worshipper of God loves Him just as much when He says, No, as when He says, Yes.
The Bible is completely theological, only minus the jargon, if you don’t mind that.
Seek all glory for Jesus and none for yourself.
Mere mortals seek to be immortalized in the eyes of the world, not realizing true immortality is offered them in Jesus Christ, who lives forever and ever.
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

One thing it means is that everyone is guilty of breaking God’s laws, without exception, and it makes no difference how you compare yourself with others and fancy that you’re not as bad, you are still under the same condemnation as the worst person on earth, and have equal need of a Savior as they do.
Anything of beauty is beautiful because its Creator is beautiful.
Be in awe of God, and, if possible, be in awe of God all the time.
And, why not be in touch with the reality of God all the time?
It’s what He meant when He said, Walk before me.
When a person believes God’s word and obeys then they are in agreement with God. “Biblical” means to be in agreement with God, and pity the poor soul who disagrees with Him.
There are true witnesses of Jesus and false witnesses of Jesus.
People need to read the Bible so they know the real Jesus.
It’s not as mysterious as people make it to be.
A false witness of Jesus testifies falsely of Jesus and what He said, they are portraying a “Jesus” whom you won’t find in the Bible.
Christian friend, if there’s an aspect of your life which has no spiritual benefit, then rethink whether it should be a part of your life. What’s the benefit?
A wise man seeks the wisdom of God.
So, if a fool truly seeks God’s wisdom, he’s really not such a fool after all.
The disciple of Jesus is always ready “to fly” and say “goodbye” to this world and everything it consists of, happy to never have anything to do with it again forever.
The grace of Christ is indeed amazing, and, thus, we should always be amazed by it.
Christ’s riches excel the world’s riches by infinity.
Rome was burned in 64 AD.
Nero died 68 AD.
Jerusalem destroyed 70 AD.
AND….
Revelation written 95 AD.
Thus demolishing Preterist interpretations, and pointing to a Futurist interpretation.
When a religion demands your nation accept its laws then it’s no longer just a religion, it’s a hostile foreign nation existing within the borders of your nation.
