When Christians discard the NT church pattern the results are always disastrous.

 

Its just as disastrous as it would have been if Noah had discarded the plans and directions for the Ark, which God gave him.

 

Yeah, it would have sunk, you can count on that.

Shepherds

True shepherds carry a burden for revival in the lives of the saints they are in fellowship with.

Agriculture

For nations to survive they must make sustainable agriculture number one priority.

 

Sounds a bit strange, right?

He’s never been nervous

As a Christian, if at times you feel nervous, know that the Holy Spirit in you is not nervous, and, in fact, He’s never ever been nervous, not even once.

Sometimes Christians get nervous in a meeting if there’s 2 minutes of quiet.

But the Holy Spirit is fine. He’s not nervous.

Belief

Personally, we are the sum of our beliefs.

 

Each person is the product of what they believe.

 

This is because the way we live is simply an expression of what we believe, for better or worse.

 

And, to not believe something is, actually, a belief.

The sky is not falling, yet

 

 

Doing right

A true Christian does what is right in God’s sight on the basis that God has already brought them into right standing with Him by the blood of Jesus.

Won

The battle is won in prayer.

 

Jesus already won the war.

Soon

Expectation is building in the people of Jesus of His soon return.

 

“Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”

 

1 Thessalonians 4:17

 

We meet the returning Lord in the air, not on the earth.

 

He’s not coming to where we are, we’re going to where He is.

 

And we shall always be with Him.

It’s in the Bible

Everything that’s written in the Bible about the last days prior to Christs return, and at His return, will, obviously, be fulfilled.

 

But people don’t want to hear that.

 

As Paul warned, they will heap up teachers for themselves who tell them what they want to hear, about a sissified “Jesus” who does not exist.

On our part, if we instantly forgive those who wrong us, there can be no malice in our response.

Climate Change

My opinion on Climate Change:

 

History reveals global climate in constant change and flux: periods of warming, and periods of cooling.

 

We take it these historical fluctuations were not due to human activity.

 

We don’t deny human activity over the last century has probably had some impact on climate.

 

How much impact human activity has had is probably impossible to accurately quantify considering the role of natural cyclical changes.

 

Furthermore, the degree to which it is realistically possible for human activity to be modified enough to have any beneficial effect on climate change is miniscule.

 

Realistic measures

 

Is banning aircraft feasible?

 

You know how much CO2 just one flight produces, right?

 

Just one example.

 

So, I ride my bicycle to the airport and then jump on a plane…. this kind of thing.

 

Then, there’s the God factor.

 

Christians believe the Bible (unless they’re fake Christians) and the Bible says God is going to wreak havoc on the human race, because they reject His offer of clemency and pardon through the sacrificial death of His Son, Jesus Christ.

 

A big part of this judgment on the whole earth will be climatic.

 

Does this mean Christians think they’re exempt from caring for the environment?

 

In my experience, Christians are exemplary in their care for the environment, because they understand God has given them a responsibility as custodians, stewards and caretakers of His earth. It’s His, and we are responsible.

 

There you go, there’s my 5 cents worth.

Comparing yourself with others

Jesus said, to whom much is given, much is required.

 

And this is another reason why we should not compare ourselves with others.

Greatest thing

The greatest thing is to love Jesus.

 

And those who do are great in the sight of God.
