The flatterer

Quote

A man who flatters his neighbor Spreads a net for his feet. – Proverbs 29:5

The flatterer is a cruel deceiver. Beware of those who speak smooth things and position themselves as the really loving Christians. Better to surround yourself with those believers who speak TRUE things in humility and love. What you hear might not make you feel as good as flattery does but you’ll find it more favorable in the end.

He who rebukes a man will find more favor afterward Than he who flatters with the tongue. -Proverbs 28:23

A forgotten attribute of true Godly love is that it does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6). It also abounds in knowledge and discernment ( Philippians 1:9).

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. -1 John 5:2

Anyone who claims to love other Christians but outright rejects very clear issues in the NT is a deceiver.
