Trump ain’t the antichrist

January 31, 2020

… But

He is certainly helping to set the stage.

Anything praiseworthy?

January 30, 2020

Is there anything praiseworthy of the “signs and wonders” movement?

Yes. God is still the same God as He’s always been. Praise God for those who don’t subscribe to a neutered version of the Living God. The days of miracles is not over, at least among the poor, impoverished, and suffering, it’s not over.

But it’s probably over in the western materialistic places, where people are brainwashed into humanism.

The main issue with the movement is the seeking of supernatural signs as a substitute for faith, which is no faith at all.

And this substitute for the real faith of the Gospel opens a door into lying signs and wonders, of which the false prophet will do to get people to follow the antichrist.

If your walk with Jesus is real and does not hinge on sensual experience, then you can seek miracles from the right motive, as the Book of Acts church did, which resulted in the salvation of people.

Just move it out of the orchestrated, gimmicky church show, and take it to the streets and ghettos.

Strong proclamation of the message of the Cross, preaching Christ, and then healing and casting out of demons.

No more pathetic worship

January 30, 2020

I’m sick of hearing the modern “worship” songs come up on my Facebook feed. Enough of the moaning and whining, fake, contrived emotionalism. Its become a parody, a requiem for a superficial church.

That’s NOT faith. Faith is different.

Where can the love of God lead you?

January 28, 2020

The love of God can lead you to do extraordinary things.

Fundamental

January 28, 2020

You were made by God, and you were made for God.

Fundamental and essential.

What are you into?

January 28, 2020

Either, you’re into God, or you’re into a substitute for Him.

Understand the times

January 28, 2020

“And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”

Luke 21:24

“For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”

Romans 11:25

Leaning

January 28, 2020

The weaker we are the stronger we must lean on the Lord.

We will never forget

January 27, 2020

It’s worse than we know

January 27, 2020

When you consider God’s judgments falling on the earth, also consider that God sees all the evil that is hidden from our view, and it’s far, far worse than we can imagine.

It’s not about Trump

January 27, 2020

Praise God for the PRO LIFE movement.

It has galvanized the REAL issue, so, it’s not about whether you like Trump, it’s about whether you like killing babies.

So, it’s not about Trump at all, it’s about whether people have a shred of moral character.

The greatest ministry

January 26, 2020

Prayer is the greatest ministry, and it’s available to all, anytime, anywhere.

It’s the greatest ministry because it undergirds and empowers all other ministries.

If we really knew it was the greatest ministry we would do it more.

How to learn

January 26, 2020

You have more chance to learn to be led by the Spirit if you’re part of a church which is led by the Spirit rather than tradition.

The real meaning of “unity”

January 26, 2020

The people who scream the loudest for religious unity are the ones who want to be at the top of the religious heap.

When the pope calls for unity I hope you realize that what he means is unity under him: that there will be true unity when they recognize him as their spiritual leader.

Rejection of “the church”

January 25, 2020

I can empathize with many people’s rejection of the traditional “church” if they perceive such have set themselves up as authorities and therefore have no right to dictate to others what to do or not to do, or to interfere in people’s lives. I can understand how they feel.

On the other hand, the true Church should be compassionately and authoritatively PROCLAIMING what Jesus Christ said, taught and promised.

So, you don’t have to agree with any church, the issue is where you stand in relation to Jesus Christ.

Only one problem

January 25, 2020

This world really only has one problem, actually, and that is that it doesn’t obey Jesus Christ. The root of all problems is rebellion against God.

Get these promises in your spirit

January 25, 2020

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Mark 11:24

And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

John 16:23-24

Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

1 John 3:21-22

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

1 John 5:14-15

Living means dying

January 25, 2020

Living for Christ means dying to the world.

Does God give you joy?

January 24, 2020

People can relate to certain things, situations or people giving them joy.

Does God give you joy?

Some adjustment needed

January 24, 2020

Human nature doesn’t like to be told what to do.

So it takes some adjustment to walk with Jesus Christ.
