For something to be strong it shouldn’t be diluted.

LIFE comes from Jesus, and from nowhere else.

Power

There is power in prayer.

Wrong expectation

You can’t expect someone without real character to have the real word of the Lord.

The greatest people

The greatest Person is Jesus.

 

And the greatest people are those who are like Him.

Two kinds

Amongst Christians there’s only two categories: Bible believing Christians and false Christians.

Rushing headlong

Buoyed by dizzying levels of self confidence and self affirmation, false teachers rush confidently toward their destruction.

Tendency with backsliders

The tendency with backsliders is to seek out esoteric Bible “knowledge” to make one feel spiritual, puffing up the mind, as a kind of substitute for the loss of the fellowship and communion of the Holy Spirit.

The Blood

The same Blood which washes away sin also destroys the power of sin.

Never alone

Jesus promised His people they would never be alone.

 

They would never be stuck without help, without a friend and companion.

 

Even if all their resources reach an end, they are not alone, they have access to an unlimited resource.

Life from above

We live this present life in this world, but our LIFE comes from Heaven, from Jesus Christ. It doesn’t come from this world.

 

Otherwise, we are living, yes, but we’re dead even as we live: the living dead.

 

Jesus said, I have come that they might have LIFE, and have it more abundantly.

We will see Him

If we want to look into Jesus beautiful eyes one day, face to face, then we should look away from the things He hates.

When you go to Heaven the first Person you will see is the Man who paid for you to be there.

He knows what it’s like

Jesus, as a preacher and teacher, certainly knew what it was like to deal with people who couldn’t understand what He was saying.

Peace with God

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ…” Romans 5:1

 

In this present, justified state before God:

 

A. God is not against us. He no longer counts us as enemies, but as His children, by adoption.

 

B. God is against any ungodliness we might do, but He is not our enemy, He will chastise any such ungodliness as a true Father disciplines a son. (Heb. 12:5-11)

 

C. Since it is God who has justified us, we can have confidence He loves us and is for us.

 

D. While God is for us, rather than being against us, He is not “on our side”. We need to get “on His side”.  (Joshua 5:13-14)  American Christianity (Revelation 17:2)  has tended to reduce God to being the servant of man, but this is an idolatrous view of God.

 

E. As justification by faith is in the past tense, but faith itself is a perpetual continuation, that is, we perpetually believe we have been, past tense, justified by faith, we don’t cease believing this, then, a Christian should no longer think that God justifying him is a temporary or intermittent state, which fluctuates with what he does or doesn’t do, or whether his faith is strong or weak.

How will they look?

Even the cleverest person won’t look so clever on Judgment Day.

Conned

The devil has been very successful at getting people to do what he wants, and believe what he wants them to believe, without them being aware they’re being used. They think they’re free.

No fear of God

When people don’t have the fear of God they act as if they won’t stand before Jesus Christ to be judged by Him. They are not facing reality.

A new person

To be born again is the greatest thing that can happen to you in this life.

And it is essential, Jesus said.

It is of such a magnitude that nothing can compare to it, and it eclipses everything else in life.

For, without it, you have nothing.

And the one who is born again has everything, in Christ.

Jesus solves the “problem” by making us a new person.

He doesn’t modify us.

He makes us a new and different person.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Logical reasoning

X. Do you agree the Bible says a pencil costs less than an eraser?

 

Y. Yes, I agree, that’s in the Bible!

 

X. Okay, do you also agree that the Bible says a pen costs more than an eraser?

 

Y. Absolutely, that’s what the Bible says.

 

X. So, therefore, according to the Bible, a pen costs more than a pencil, right?

 

Y. Ah, no. Nowhere does the Bible say a pen costs more than a pencil!

 

X.  (Beats his head against the wall

 

Y.  But where does the Bible actually say a pen costs more than a pencil, hmmm?

 

X.  Okay, it doesn’t actually say it, but from what the Bible does say about all three items we can logically deduce that a pen costs more than a pencil.

 

(Sometimes it’s due to a lack of ability to reason logically.

Other times, they’re just being dishonest.)
