Christian Unity

Reply to an article on Christian unity:

A. All who belong to Christ are already united by sharing the same Holy Spirit.

B. If every locality is supposed to have an autonomous local church, then of course there’s going to be thousands of different churches. This fact does not necessarily mean we are disunited.

C. The fact that most members of the body of Christ scattered in all nations will never meet or even know of most of the others does not necessarily mean we are disunited.

D. Healthy disagreement ensures the spiritual health of the body of Christ, and does not necessarily mean disunity.

E. If unity means we can’t object to evil or heresy, then that’s a cult, it’s not the church Jesus is building.
