With or without Jesus?

This is the question all must answer.

No one in heaven has racial issues.

No one in heaven hates or ridicules.

No one in heaven loves money.

No one in heaven wants to have power over others.

No one in heaven wants to glorify themselves.

Etc.

This is something of what Jesus Christ represents.

The Creator of all is the Ruler of all.

What kind of Creator couldn’t rule over what He created?

And who would say their Creator has no right to rule them?

Look at these two verses:

“And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” (Luke 21:24)

“For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.” (Revelation 17:17)

“Fulfillment”, here, signifies God spoke, and what He spoke WILL be fulfilled.

You can debate all you like over how this pans out, but if God said something will happen, it will happen.

This means that the final events of this age, which are unfolding now, will happen, and no one can stop it.

It can’t be prayed away.

For true followers of Jesus, they get a lot of comfort knowing that the world is heading where God said it would.

Comforting to know this same God as His child.

There are indeed wacko conspiracy theories out there, and yet there’s also evidence of widespread manipulation of the masses.

If you’re a student of history you would know that whole populations have been duped, time and time again.

And nothing has changed.

Most people born after 1990 are not independent thinkers.

Even though left wing indoctrination began in schools in the 60s, it virtually took over by the 90s.

Consider. Pre-war Germany was supposed to be an enlightened, educated, modern society. Not a bunch of savages.

Of course, it doesn’t matter in this world who’s popular and who isn’t, and yet it’s instructive to know that, according to the latest Gallup Poll, Trump is far more popular than Biden, and even the “messiah” Obama.

The Bible never asks you to believe anything you don’t already know to be true somewhere in the back of your conscience.

To my non-Christian friends, what is your conscience telling you?

Our conscience is our friend.

Justification by faith without works.

But not justification by faith without repentance.

Imagine the absurdity of a thief who thanks God he didn’t have to give up his profession to be justified by faith.

How many Christians are not delivered from the evil one because they don’t ask to be delivered?

If we ask, it will be done.

Otherwise, what would be the point of Jesus teaching us to ask we be delivered if that were not neccessary?

Have you ever wondered why virtually any zany religious belief is quite acceptable, but the belief that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again, and is the only Savior is not permissible?

“…And not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God’s growth.” (Colossians 2:19)

In this chapter Paul lists a number of religious and spiritual diversions or traps which Christians were falling into.

Our Head is Jesus.

Any spiritual belief or practice which causes us not to “hold firm to the Head” leads us toward disconnection from the Head and therefore cuts off His supply to His body and we don’t grow.

Holding firmly to Jesus Christ means He supplies our life, our everything.

And the text tells us that His supply flows from Him through “joints and ligaments” which denotes the inter-connective members of His body.

Each member of the Body is supposed to hold firm to the Head.

Then He supplies directly and through His members.

But even when He supplies through someone else, it’s still Him supplying, and not them.

For we who believe, Jesus promised to lead us. He leads and we follow. We are not to lead. If we are wise we will look for Him to lead the way and we follow.

It takes a big burden off us if we are following and not leading.

The advent of the internet meant for the first time in history the ordinary person could see what life is like for their fellow man anywhere in the world, if they choose to.

But not many choose to.

They have their own world, and that’s it.

Some guys go to an institutional church because they like the anonymity and the stage performance, then complain later that no one cares or even knows if they’re sick or lonely.

They want their cake, and to eat it too.

They want to be alone, except for when they need people.

If you reject relational church then you’ll just have to live with the fact no one cares about you. That’s the life you’ve chosen.

If you believe the Bible then you’re the ultimate realist. You know the world isn’t going to get better, and you know the final outcome in advance, and have total peace.

If the world wanted to elect a “President of Planet Earth” would they elect Jesus of Nazareth?

Would He be deemed suitable to lead the world?

Not likely.

After three years of preaching they crucified Him.

In today’s world it’s not exceptional for a person to preach democracy while rigging an election.

Why?

Because this is a moral dilemma, and such people’s morality differs from Biblical morality, to which they would readily agree.

The modern Liberal doesn’t have a fixed, absolute morality, it is ever shifting, circumstantial, situational, relativistic and always bending and conforming to the whims or demands of people.

You can’t expect an immoral person to tell the truth.

That would be unrealistic.

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to his will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

Pretty wonderful.

So, prayer is bringing God’s will to pass.

Because He only answers prayers that are according to His will.

The will of God is the work of God, His purpose.

His purpose is to bring people to know Him through His Son.

If we know His purpose we can pray according to His will.

Our greatest enemy is that which keeps us from prayer.

“Then (John the Baptist) said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” (Luke 3:7)

He wasn’t joking.

There is a wrath to come.

And you should flee from it while you can.

The wrath comes from the same source as the grace.

From Jesus Christ.

Flee to Him today.

And you won’t have to suffer His wrath to come.

We tend to underestimate the power of human influence in shaping Christianity, for better or worse.

If we live by the Spirit we will speak by the Spirit.

If Jesus had not risen from the dead I wouldn’t believe in Him. But He did.

Its self evident that when cultural Christians participate in Christian cultural traditions they are doing so to some extent because they culturally identify as Christians.

So, we have multitudes of unrepentant people identifying as cultural Christians.

Why?

What is the purpose of identifying oneself as a Christian but having no intention of repenting?

Christian Traditions exist so that people who are unrepentant can still feel religious.

It wouldn’t be unreasonable to say that Christian culture exists for the sake of cultural Christians, and not for those who have been truly converted.

Of course, we would rather have a Christian culture than an Islamic or Hindu one, or an Atheistic one, all the same.

Ask any nominal, cultural Christian why they celebrate Christmas, and why they don’t feel convicted of being hypocritical in doing so?

In the first century, if you were playing the hypocrite you could get sick and die for taking the Lords Supper.

But by the third century everyone was taking it and not dying.

One thing about the world is that it has the power to present things as real which are not real.

The more brain washed people become the less power they have to discern between the unreal and the real.

For those who say something is missing from their life, that something is Jesus Christ.

Never get fussed over things which aren’t God’s will, which were never meant to be.

There are many questions in life, but there’s really only one answer.

We’re not interested in the religious side of Christianity, just a very simple life.

Sort it out what’s worth living for and use your time for that.

Know that a year flies by. If we are productive daily, by the end of the year we see an accumulation of tangible results.

Make tiny progress today, then multiply that by 365 to see the total progress by year’s end.

What we set our mind and will on today will be clearly seen by the end of the year, by God’s grace.

So, in other words, keep faithful daily and wait until the end of the year to see what God will do.

Wait until the end of the year to measure your progress. Don’t need to check every day.

After a year of rioting, looting, beating up innocent people, murdering babies in the womb, pursuing a fake impeachment, general corruption and rigging elections it’s time for us to stop committing these evils and unite with the Conservatives we hate so much…. ??

Ask people if they’re saved.

Then…. how much MORE for us that we acknowledge that we can do nothing truly spiritually transformative by ourselves?

And, if not by ourselves, then, how?

By doing what we “see” our Father doing.

It means He gives a knowing of what He is doing through us, and we are participating in His work.

Jesus is inclusive.

Meaning, He will also include you if you believe.

Looking at Revelation 17.

The Woman rides the Beast (vs 3).

The Beast turns on the Woman and destroys her (vs 16).

The Woman represents counterfeit Christianity.

The Beast represents satan.

Their cozy relationship ultimately comes to an end.

The Beast took the Woman where she wanted to go, helped her get the power and dominance she craved, and then betrays her.

Her deal with the devil turns sour.

We have seen this beginning to be played out for years now.

Those Christians who compromised the truth to be “successful” end up losing in the end.

Christian, is selling your soul to be popular and successful worth it?

This is a verse that is rarely understood.

Peter could not see God’s purpose, or the means by which God would fulfill His purpose, which was contrary to human wisdom.

No human counsellor would have advised Jesus that getting crucified was the best thing He could do and the only way to save humanity.

It does not mean man should not be interested in what is happening in the world.

False spirituality always leads to a disconnection from reality.

Before the great “falling away” comes the great DUMBING DOWN – Christians disarmed of their critical faculties by watching entertainers and always being the passive “audience” in church.

I think Liberal means the approval of immorality more than immorality itself.

A Liberal defends immorality.

A Liberal may lead quite an outwardly moral life, but they have no moral or intellectual objection to the most disgusting sins.

So I say to them, As you have no moral objection to those things then there would be nothing preventing you doing them if you wanted to.

God has spoken to us.

God spoke by His Son.

His Son is the only true representative of God, being, Himself, God.

It means, all there is to know about God is known in and by Jesus Christ.

If you could ask God, What is the true religion? His answer is here: He has spoken by His Son.

It would be foolish to ask Jesus what is the true religion.

He said, Follow me.

If your conscience is totally gone then there’s no raw material for Him to work with.

The world doesn’t so much hate the image of Jesus Christ, it’s quite cozy with it, as seen in the universal celebration of Christmas, but it hates what He represents, it hates His morals and values, His holiness, His commands, and it hates the fact that He decides right and wrong, that He alone is the truth and we are not.

In other words, the world loves a mythological representation of Jesus Christ, but hates the Jesus of the Bible.

For a Christian to speak out against injustice in their nation doesn’t necessarily make them a Christian Nationalist who has put their faith in the nation.

It might simply mean they have some character.

Christians and politics

On Christians and politics:

If it’s not spiritual to talk about politics then it’s also not spiritual to talk about food recipes, your house, your garden, cars, your work, world events or post pictures of yourself.

You would think.

I think the issue is, Is it permissible for Christians to discuss the realities of life?

And it would be ridiculous to say, No, it’s not permissible to discuss the realities of life – you can discuss gardening, cooking, or whatever, but please do not discuss the future of your nation because that is not spiritual.

It’s one reason why many people avoid Christians, because they think they’re idiots for making such rules.

The sad thing about Christian fringe groups is their main purpose seems to be to insulate Christians from the realities of life.

Do political issues divide?

There’s always two kinds of division, both good and bad division.

Bad division is over petty matters.

Good division is the separation of light from darkness.

Jesus taught that who ever follows Him will lose a lot, but gain much more than they lose.

For His children, when He takes away He always replaces with something better.

Jesus said He will prune away unproductive areas of our life and replace it with “much fruit”.

We need to be willing for Him to do this.

In today’s world, truth can mean anything you want it to mean.

Let’s summarize the endtime delusion as thus: it’s the belief that God will accept you without repentance from sin, and even further, that sin is not sin. This is the message the world longs to hear, that you can continue to be immoral and be spiritual at the same time. You could even claim to know God and be his servant yet not hindered by any feelings of guilt over your immorality because you’ve redefined your immorality as something good. This is the direction the world is heading in toward a universal common faith.

Temptation is a normal part of the Christian experience.

When Jesus was tempted He could see who the tempter was.

Similarly, it’s a great blessing if we can see who the tempter is so that we can see that it’s a matter of rejecting him.

By the grace of God we can see in our time of testing that an evil power is tempting us with the aim of bringing us under its power.

In this way we don’t come under condemnation simply by being tempted.

When the tempter injects wrong thoughts they are his thoughts, not yours, so why should you feel condemned for thoughts which do not originate from you?

“…Consider yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 6:11)

Consider that you are dead to sin because you’re alive to God.

It’s a morbid analogy, but if you prop up a dead body on the sofa to watch TV he’s not going to be too interested in the program. You wouldn’t expect him to be.

You wouldn’t expect a person who is dead to sin to be interested in sin.

If they are alive to God then their interest in God negates and cancels out their interest in that which is contrary to God.

This multitude is in Heaven by the grace of God alone.

No one has ever gone to heaven apart from the grace of God in Christ Jesus the Lord.

Now, as all these went there by the amazing grace of God in Jesus, you will have to go the same way as they did if you expect to be there.

If a multitude can go there by grace, why can’t you?

If it wasn’t too hard for them, why would it be too hard for you?

Have you ever considered that the devil might have raised up your organization solely with the purpose of making Christians look like idiots?

And that he transforms himself into an angel of light in order to do this?

Comparing the true and false Gospel:

You find yourself stuck in a very deep and dark pit. The walls are sheer and smooth, there are no footholds for you to climb out.

False gospels say you must get yourself out of there. You got yourself in there, you have to get yourself out. So, in vain, you try climbing out. You get a few feet up the wall then fall back. You try repeatedly and fail every time.

But the true Gospel says you can’t get yourself out, because that is the reality of the situation. Therefore, if you are going to get out it’s ONLY going to be if SOMEONE ELSE pulls you out. Someone outside the pit. Not your miserable companions in the pit.

The true Gospel declares that the “someone” is Jesus Christ.

Of course, an even worse “gospel” is to deny the pit exists and that you are in it.

Only after the wrath of God is poured out on the earth shall Christ’s kingdom be physically established over all the earth.

SPEAK EVIL OF NO ONE

“Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, TO SPEAK EVIL OF NO ONE, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.” (Titus 3:1-3)

“Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.” (Eph. 4:31)

• Speak the truth about people, and only speak when necessary, and do so without malice. If it’s not necessary, don’t say it.
• Stick to the facts. Facts determine righteous judgment, not name calling or ridicule.
• When evil is being exposed, those who don’t love the truth try to censor it by claiming it is as “speaking evil” of someone.
• To the Liberal mind, simple Biblical moral judgments are considered as hate speech.
• Some people wonder why the Apostles never made mention of Caesar, who was a tyrannical ruler? Obviously, any negative remark about him would get you the death sentence.
• We don’t see any pattern of ridicule by the NT writers.
• Jesus was scathing of hypocrites and fools. He IS the judge. He is the King of Israel. We are not. We don’t see that same pattern in His Apostles. The Apostles judged, but their judgment was not of exactly the same nature as God, Himself, judging.

“Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm. May the Lord repay him according to his works.” (2 Tim. 4:14)

“Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord?” (Acts 13:9-10)

“I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, does not receive us. Therefore, if I come, I will call to mind his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words. And not content with that, he himself does not receive the brethren, and forbids those who wish to, putting them out of the church.” (3 John 1:9-10)

“Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.” (Rom. 16:17-18)
