God sometimes over rules the science.

Jesus did it all the time.

The Bible gave birth to modern society as the prime catalyst for the reformation, renaissance and industrial revolution.

Now, things have turned full circle, and modern society is fast coming to a place where its only nemesis is the Bible.

“…In Your sight no one living is righteous.”

(Psalm 143:2b)

In the sight of God no one can have their own righteousness.

But we can have the righteousness of Christ imputed to us by faith, and therefore have His righteousness.

Better to lose your pride and gain your soul than keep your pride and lose your soul.

May your stewardship define your life and work.

If you see someone who is not free, pray that Jesus will get His truth to them, and open their heart to recieve it, so the truth will set them free.

There’s two kinds of Liberal “Christians”:

a. Those who commit evil.

b. And those who approve of that evil.

If you’re a young Christian, get around mature Christians as much as you can.

“….He’s a faithful friend. You can count on Him, to the very end…”

They don’t need TV in Heaven.

The Bible has a happy ending for those who love Jesus Christ.

Discovering true meaning in life will also involve discovering what is meaningless.

China is not the greatest threat.

God is the greatest threat.

When you support evil you are asking God to destroy you.

The issue of whether an 8 year old should be able to decide whether to have their genitalia rearranged transcends politics.

The issue is, humanity is on trial, right now.

Speaking the truth risks alienating those who don’t love the truth.

Obviously, our purpose should not be to alienate folks.

While, on the other hand, it would be pathetic to hold back the truth simply because you want people to like you.

Here’s your current dichotomy:

Believe wacko conspiracy theories?

Believe the political propaganda, narrative and spin of Big Tech and the MSM?

Which one of these?

Obviously, it should be neither.

But it usually isn’t.

“At the town hall, aired on ABC on Oct. 15, Pennsylvania voter Mieke Haeck asked Biden how he would reverse actions by the Trump administration that had negatively affected LGBTQ people, including her 8-year-old transgender daughter.

Biden responded, “I will flat out just change the law. Every — eliminate those executive orders, number one.”

He added, “The idea that an 8-year-old child or a 10-year-old child decides, ‘You know I decided I want to be transgender. That’s what I think I’d like to be. It would make my life a lot easier.’ There should be zero discrimination.” ” unquote

In other words, Biden wants 8 year olds to be able to decide whether they have their genitalia rearranged.

Now, the wording of this quote by Biden was slightly altered by someone, and that meme went viral, and Facebook marked it as Misinformation.

But you can read what he said.

I won’t vilify Biden, only to say it’s horrific someone with such views is the President.

We get caught up into the sky to meet the Lord Jesus.

Hope you’re not scared of heights?

“While they (false teachers) promise them liberty (or freedom) they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.” (2 Peter 2:19)

False teachers redefine certain sins. Sexual immorality may not be sin to them. The love of money may not be sin to them. (And it might be YOUR money which they love) Pride and elitism may not be sin to them.

So, the false teacher offers you “freedom” from the “bondage” of believing these things are sin, when, in reality, it’s a trap.

Whoever sins is a slave of sin, scripture says.

Just calling it “freedom” doesn’t change what it is.

That’s a delusion.

The “Food Gospel”?

January 31, 2021

Study of Acts chapter 10.

a. In a vision God shows Peter that he can now eat any kind of animal because God has “cleansed” them.

b. Peter is reluctant to believe the vision because it appears to contradict the Old Testament law.

c. God repeats the vision 3 times.

d. Peter understands God is referring to food, but he doesn’t immediately understand the implications of God “cleansing” all food.

e. Peter thought deeply as to what the vision could mean.

f. The vision is not metaphorical, it is literal. Peter, a Jew, may now lawfully eat anything because God has “cleansed” it.

g. Food, in itself, is not intrinsically good or evil. However, when God forbade certain foods, to then partake of those foods would mean disobeying God, and hence becoming defiled or unclean in the sight of God. It’s the man who becomes unclean, not the food. God gave strict dietary and other laws to Israel to make them distinct from all other nations.

h. Straight away Peter was called to the house of Cornelius, a Gentile.

I. Peter then understood the APPLICATION of the vision. If Christ, by His shed blood, has removed all the sins of man, whether Jew or Gentile, then, if Gentile believers are now clean, then their food is also clean. If God has accepted a man because of the blood of Jesus, He will not reject a man simply because of the kind of food he eats. A man is now accepted because of the Blood, not because of his food.

j. WARNING concerning those who teach this vision has nothing to do with food. That would be ridiculous. God told Peter he could now eat anything. Is God then going to chastise Peter for eating pork and say, “Well, I didn’t really mean you could eat pork, it was just a metaphor” ? That would be ridiculous.

k. Proponents of the “Food Gospel” twist this passage around by saying that God didn’t mean that it’s lawful to eat anything. Peter accepted it. Why can’t they? Because Peter was saved and therefore accepted what God said. Cultists are not saved, and don’t accept what God said.

l. “…Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.”

“I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

(Galatians 2:16, 21)

“For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.” (Romans 10:3)

Watch out for people redefining “freedom”.

This will be done to take away your freedom in the name of “freedom”.

I don’t trust any definition of freedom which is not a Biblical definition.

It’s always Gods will to do right and speak the truth.

That’s the only thing Christians need to do and be concerned with.

American Christianity has bred a pragmatic understanding.

For example, Christians may have been speaking out on issues, not because it’s the truth and the right thing to do, but rather, to try and get Trump reelected.

When Christians please the Lord, then, win or lose, they can’t lose.

The charismatic movement offered freedom from tradition, but it also created a new tradition, or formula, and people are just as much in bondage to the new formula as they were to the old.

Just observing, it looks like democracy is truly dying across the globe. For each major world power it seems unlikely there will ever be another free and fair election.

Democracy gives people the option of voting democracy out of existence.

Holocaust Denial is the same antisemitism which led to the Holocaust.

A vast section of world society denies it ever happened.

When Jesus is more to us than life itself, then we really live.

Bidenists have their own conspiracy theories, like Trump inciting insurrection, and people who voted for Trump are racists and terrorists etc.

All the riots last year, was that insurrection against a democratically elected government?

Jesus, through His death, and the shedding of His blood, gave everyone equal access to God.

Even you.

The Bible warns us of a great falling away prior to Jesus return.

Do we take the warning personally to heart?

Or just see the warning as applying to others and not ourselves?

When someone’s world view is built on a lie, we gently try to deconstruct and then reconstruct on the foundation of Christ.

A healthy nationalism

The other extreme to carnal, religious right wing nationalism would be a state of apathy, where you just don’t care about where your nation is heading.

There must be a healthy nationalism, as distinct from unhealthy nationalism.

I like it that God knows seven billion people, and that He also knows me.

“….I will fear no evil, for you are with me…”

Psalm 23:4

Do you believe in the goodness of God?

Right, so you do care about the future of your nation, but you’re afraid that if you give up one hour of your time to go and cast your vote then you will have betrayed Jesus and no longer serve His Kingdom?

Just by this one action of voting have you signified that you trust in man, not God, and it means that you’re now a carnal Christian and no longer spiritual?

And if it’s really true that it means you’ve denied the Lord by voting, then the Holy Spirit must have left all who voted, because they have denied the Lord by serving another kingdom?

Could you explain this logic?

I remember when Trump started his wall critics said it was impractical and unrealistic. Well, he got 430 miles completed in just 4 years.

Remember the fake tears at how “immoral” it was?

A world without borders is a utopian dream.

But not a harmless fantasy.

The bottom line of globalism is someone else rules over you.

This is the time to get to know Jesus Christ, before meeting Him on Judgment Day.

As we get older we sometimes reflect on our life and think of all we’ve done.

If you’re not a Christian, then you might think of yourself as a highly evolved animal. If that were true, then your life would be no more special or meaningful than the life of every rabbit or chicken thats ever lived.

It would mean, as you look back on life, it was all meaningless and purposeless, other than in terms of merely surviving and feeding your appetites and desires – and then you die and cease to exist.

But as you reminisce and consider all of the combined experiences which constitute your life: love, relationships, friendship, interests, dreams, hopes, passions, imaginations, creations, expressions, endeavors, discoveries, revelations, inspirations, achievements, failures, joy, sorrow, healing and pain – ask yourself, What does it mean? Does it amount to something no more than that of a highly evolved animal?

Or is the Bible true?

Have you talked with the King today?

Our King is the Crucified King, the Lamb that was slain.

Let’s follow Him.

The future is going to be incredible with Him.

We can learn so much from Jesus sleeping in the boat while the storm raged.

We trace our spiritual ancestry back 6000 years to Adam and Eve, Abel, Enoch, Noah, and through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, David, Isaiah etc. right through to Jesus Christ, and all his followers over the last 2000 years.

We worship the same God these have been worshipping since time began.

This is our tribe.

These are our people.

We live by faith just like they did.

And Jesus Christ is the Head of the human race.

Some thoughts on Revelation 17:12-18

It signifies a momentous, world changing shift in the balance of power.

The two main players are a super power named Babylon, and a world leader called the Beast.

The Beast gets ten nations to destroy Babylon.

After that, those ten nations submit to the Beast as their ruler.

It seems apparent that the reason the Beast destroys Babylon is that Babylon is considered a renegade or pariah state by the ten nations, perhaps because Babylon believes it is the greatest and most powerful nation, with almost a divine right to hegemony, and therefore it’s unwilling to yield to the Beast and his new global alliance.

America’s resistance to globalism could be a foreshadowing of this.

“And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.”

Revelation 17:16

These ten nations HATE one particular nation.

The last four years has seen the rise of a quite unnatural hate by Liberals toward Trump.

I don’t think we’ve ever seen such hatred.

And, irrational hatred at that.

Listen to Xi speech on multi lateralism, denouncing unilateralism.

If Jesus did not rise from the dead, then we also won’t rise from the dead.

But, if Jesus did rise from the dead (and He did) then we who believe will also rise from the dead.

See 1 Cor. 15:12-28

The existence of anti-semitism only further goes to reinforce that the Bible is true.

“Everyone is entitled to speak, but we don’t have to yield to their dictates.”

God’s word promises us the Holy Spirit will lead us, and yet many Christians don’t walk in this promise a lot of the time, and it’s not the fault of the Holy Spirit.

If there was humility, so many broken relationships could be restored.

Have you thought much about what a wonder your eyes are?

Please look at something, anything.

Do you realize how complex the processes are which enable you to see the image you’re looking at, focus on it, discern the colors, register its proximity to you, and mentally comprehend what it is you’re looking at, and then make all kinds of assessments and associations concerning the object?

What a camera our eyes are! A camera linked to the most amazing super computer ever.

Thank God. Literally.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is an historical fact, a great historical event, and not mythological.

Believing that Jesus rose again is no different to believing that any of the other great historical events of recorded history actually happened.

When a person has the Holy Spirit in them, the spiritual is just as real as the physical.

“But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.” (2 Cor. 4:2)

Paul is saying that he and his companions have no angle or ulterior motive. They are not ones who have a self-serving motive, and, who then, always have to hide and disguise their crooked motives with outward pretense.

Such people handle or use the word of God in a deceitful manner. Their bottom line is they want something for themselves, either money, fame, control, or all of these. So, the way they interpret the Bible is in such a manner as to achieve what they are looking for, for themselves.

“Deceitfully” means dishonestly. If you question their beliefs you won’t get an honest answer. They conveniently explain away any scriptures which challenge their conclusions. They think they are being clever with clever answers, but God sees them as frauds.

I don’t feel people have hurt me simply because they don’t agree with my beliefs or morality. That would be pathetic.

I think their claim that your beliefs “hurt” them is often disingenuous. Perhaps they hate your beliefs and hate you for having those beliefs, but disguise their hate by claiming to be hurt.

What caused me to think about this was the Margaret Court controversy in Australia.

The LGBT community said they were “hurt” by her comments.

All she said was that according to the Bible homosexuality is a sin.

The message to America’s enemies now is, America is weak. A very dangerous time.

A Christian’s allegiance is to Jesus Christ alone, meaning that any other form of allegiance is conditional upon and subservient to this fact. It doesn’t mean we can’t have allegiance to anyone else, it means, there are limits to our allegiance to others when our allegiance is to Christ.

These other things are not God.

And this applies to every aspect of life.

So, it’s foolish for Christians to think they can’t have allegiance to their nation, or to their friends, or to their spouse and family.

Everything has it’s place in God’s kingdom.

I don’t know how someone can be saved and support depravity. Their Christianity is a joke.

For the last four years Democrats have relentlessly mocked, belittled and insulted the President.

Hoping that Conservatives will not lower themselves to that level.

That’s not the way.

That’s the way of the small minded.

Stick to the issues.

If the Bible doesn’t define your morality, you have none.

Someone says it was God’s will for Biden to win.

I would answer that with a question, Is there any world ruler who got into power against God’s will?

It was God’s will for Hitler to come to power. Does that mean those who tried to prevent Hitler were fighting against God’s will? Of course not.

From God’s point of view, He wants His children to always stand for righteousness no matter what the cost.

What an indictment on a nation if Christians refuse to speak out.

It was God’s will for ancient Israel to be conquered and ruled over by gentiles for so many centuries.

It was God’s will that Jesus be crucified.

In 2024 American Christians need to turn out en masse so that even if election fraud gets worse it will be such a landslide that even fraud can’t stop it.

You can look at it from the view that God is Sovereign, and also from the view of apathy, that up to 30 million evangelical Christians didn’t vote.

Maybe our brethren in America can say, It’s not what we wanted, but it’s what we needed at this time.

Imagine being remembered by posterity for only one achievement: that you were not Trump.

Acting in the country’s interests is certainly better than acting against its interests.

You would think?

God uses the devil as part of His overall purpose, which is why He has allowed him to hang around, and has not removed him, yet, this doesn’t mean anyone should support the devil or his works.

God used the enemies of Israel to chastise Israel when they backslid, but that wouldn’t have been any basis for the Israelis to start supporting those who wanted to destroy them.

The future belongs to Jesus Christ, therefore, sin does not have a future.

Do you care for anyone’s soul?

If I was President Trump’s speech writer I would have written in the farewell speech:

“Indeed, America is perhaps the greatest society in history by criteria such as wealth and personal freedom, but let’s not forget that it has also been the greatest exporter of filth, infecting people in every nation, and that nearly every false Christian movement, cult and false doctrine had its origin here, corrupting Christians in every nation. Let’s not forget America continues to lead the way in moral depravity.

So let’s pray, God have mercy on America, and may there be a remnant who know and live for Jesus Christ.”

…something like that.

I think many people in America have no idea how much their nation influences the whole world.

Much of “church” stuff around the world is Americanized.

Only, in Africa they took it much further, to even more bizarre levels.

Where did Christians get the idea that it’s okay to turn your “ministry” into a money making business and marketing machine?

It started in America.

People thought that anything American must be good.

You couldn’t even lay out the fundamental differences between Liberal and Conservative beliefs without risking arrest.

If you start giving amnesty to existing illegal aliens then all the new arrivals will demand it also.

How does making political comments point people to Jesus?

Firstly, posting selfies and what you had for lunch doesn’t exactly point people to Jesus, either.

If people are not thinking much, things which encourage them to think can be helpful. An unthinking Christian should be encouraged to think.

How did Jesus point people to Jesus?

Repentance from sin was a big part of His message.

He wanted people to know that they must repent of sin if they are to enter the Kingdom of God.

The practical governing of the Jews at that time was by the religious hierarchy. They dealt with governing the practical issues of society more than the Romans. Remember Pilate told the Jews that they are the ones who should judge Jesus according to their own law? (John 18:31)

The Gospels clearly reveal Jesus exposing the hypocrisy and corruption of society and those who led it. It would be the equivalent today of Him exposing hypocrisy and double standards among political leaders and their policies.

How did that point people to Jesus?

It challenged and convicted people.

At least, it convicted those who were able to be convicted.

He showed what people needed to repent of.

So, today, in the real world, we have people who are faced with personal choices concerning good and evil.

If the new generation really has no concept of what the Bible describes as good and evil, how can they repent?

How can they be pointed to Jesus if they have no concept to begin with that they commit evil and approve of it?

Without true repentance they won’t have a true conversion, and whatever Christianity they follow will bring shame and dishonor to Jesus holy name.

So, discussing moral issues facing society can be a foundational thing, a springboard to point people to Jesus.

And most political issues these days are deeply moral issues, and they reveal where people are really at before God.

Never get frustrated that a blind man can’t see what you see.

Things Conservatives can learn from the election:

Many were emphatically saying “we will win”. President Trump often boldly declared that he will win.

This is not faith, it is arrogance.

This is the first lesson to learn by such a defeat.

To learn a little humility before God.

Christians never need to concern themselves with winning anything.

They only need to be concerned about doing what is right in God’s sight and trusting Him, acknowledging Him, and then leaving the results to Him.

This is a Sunday School lesson for Christianity in America, and for President Trump.

Imagine the hypocrisy of putting your hand on the Bible and swearing when you hate most of what it teaches and don’t recognize it as God’s word?

Unified in what?

“…That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other.” (Luke 23:12)

Do you know what brought Pilate and Herod together?

False equivalence:

a. Right wingers falsely prophesied Trump would win.

b. Therefore…. this means every allegation of corruption committed by the Left must also not be true.

That’s how it will be spun.

How do politics and Christianity intersect?

When Christians have been brainwashed by a false political narrative.

It was the “defeat” American conservatives desperately needed, in my opinion, and that’s why God allowed it.

Of course, true Christians are never defeated.

a. When Christians fail it brings reproach to Jesus.

b. When Christians fail, non-Christians can read the Bible and decide whether the Christian faith stands or falls upon the performance of Christians, or whether it purely stands or falls by the facts of the life, the word, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

For me, when Christians fail it does not cause me to doubt Jesus, because my faith is in Him, not in Christians.

That’s fair enough, isn’t it?

The “body of Christ” means every follower of Christ functions and plays a part in His work, and does the work allocated them by Christ.

Christian, do you consider yourself to be spiritually strong, as per this verse?

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” (Eph. 6:10)

What does it look like to be “strong in the Lord”?

Strengthen your brethren.

There’s nothing we can do that will cause God to love us any more than He already does.

Repenting from our sins doesn’t earn God’s love. And neither does doing spiritual things.

He has always loved us, but we didn’t know it.

The Bible says, “we love Him because He first loved us”.

Faith and repentance does bring us into the love of God, and out from the wrath of God.

“…Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” (Jude 21)

There’s a proximity. God doesn’t change, but we do need to change. We need to come into the love of God and remain there.

We escape the wrath of God and experience the love of God.

Scripture implores us to “be reconciled to God”.

We were enemies of God by our own actions, and under His wrath, and yet He always loved us.

His love extends to those under His wrath, and HE implores us to be reconciled to Him through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.

The non-Christian should understand they are under God’s wrath, and yet God demonstrates His love for them in that He gave His Son to die for them.

It is a question of reconciliation.

The fact is He wants you to be reconciled to Him.

Will you be reconciled to God today by believing the Gospel?

Here’s an analogy.

There are two great rooms and there’s one narrow doorway between them.

One room represents the love of God and the other the wrath of God.

Now, if you’re in the wrath of God room, because of your sin, all you need to do is enter by the narrow door (Jesus) into the love of God room.

The love of God room is already there for you, it’s always been there, and the door is open, but you will need to enter in to it and remain there.

Hence, “keep yourselves in the love of God”.

Even though Covid has been a gift to those hungry for more power and control, it is truly causing much grief everywhere.

A Christian has to get on with living, yet be mindful of those suffering.

Has anything or anyone impressed you today?

For me, so far only God has impressed me.

We pray because…

a. We love Him.

b. He’s given us a work to do.

When you unswervingly follow Jesus there will be a big rearrangement of who your friends are, or, who you thought your friends were, but, at the end of the day, when the dust settles, you’ll find that the friends which remain are real friends.

There was a blind man who was also a genius, had a great intellect.

One day he was out for a stroll and accidentally fell off a cliff and died.

There was one thing he needed, one thing he lacked.

And all the intellect in the world could not substitute for that one thing.

Think of the spiritual application.

It’s not directly their intellect which is in the way.

It could be pride in their intellect which is in the way.

Having a great intellect is not a moral issue.

There’s no virtue in how great or limited our intellect is.

It’s what we do with it.

A perspective of Democracy

January 16, 2021

Even though democracy started in ancient Greece it has been the exception rather than the rule. The rule has been tyranny.

From a Biblical, historical point of view it’s quite an interesting phenomenon when Christians find they have an opportunity to play a role in selecting who will rule over them – and the power to deny power to those who hate them and seek to take away their freedoms.

Imagine if the early Christians had that same opportunity and had the power to vote a kinder, gentler Caesar into office?

When Christians choose a President they are not choosing a Pastor. The State is not the Church, nor the Church the State. We are not choosing a spiritual leader. We are choosing a secular leader to do a secular work, like choosing a plumber to fix the pipes. The main criteria for choosing a plumber is that he can do the job you want him to do, not how spiritual he is.

Now, from a Christian perspective, what do you want your President to do?

He’s not there to give sermons. Not even to be a model Christian.

He’s there to defend YOUR rights to freedom, maintain law, order and equity, to defend children in the womb or at school from malevolent people, etc.

He’s there to stop someone malevolent from being there.

Anyone can occupy the office of the President just so long as they prevent an anti-Christian from occupying it.

Yet we believe in God’s Sovereignty over nations, to set up kings and remove them.

Sovereignty never contradicts responsibility, though.

The Cross:

Perfect justice.

Perfect mercy.

Perfect love.

The work of God is perfect – nothing can be added or subtracted from it, scripture says.

As we are His instruments, let’s be mindful of this.

We can’t add extra to His work to “help Him out”.

We can only be a part of HIS work.

What is a pastor/shepherd?

One definition is they are a person who will one day give an account for how well they cared for those whom Christ entrusted them to care for.

“Obey those who stand before you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.”

(Hebrews 13:17)

God treats all equally, the Bible teaches.

He is perfect in justice, equity and fairness.

It’s good news, my friend.

It means you are no exception.

If He has saved others, He can save you too.

Truth is the seed, which, when sown in the right soil, gives birth to truth.

A prayer life is the real life.

a. Jesus said to pray this.

b. It’s implied we are then mystically involved in Gods will being done, because God has commanded us to pray, Thy will be done.

c. Its then implied that if we don’t pray, Thy will be done, then His will won’t be done. It should be understood as a vital request, not mere formality.

d. We should be full of joy knowing that if we pray, Thy will be done, it will be done.

e. What could be better than God’s will being done?

Every person is a product of something – influenced and shaped by external forces.

Jesus can change us into what God always intended us to be – a child of the Father.

The devil has two strategies, either to condemn us, or flatter us – to bring us to despair, or to inflate us with pride.

What do you live for?

Jesus said, lay up treasure in heaven, not on earth.

It depends on what we invest our life in.

There’s no reason to expect the unreasonable to be reasonable. They can’t be reasoned with.

We live off answers to prayer. Our whole life is an answer to prayer.

Jesus died in our place so we don’t have to die. He paid our penalty.

Hating or being angry with our enemies (that is, those who mock us) is much easier to do than loving and praying for them.

Let’s not go the easy way.

For the truly born again person, Christ is in Heaven AND Christ is in their heart, and because Christ is in their heart He always causes them to look up to Heaven, to the Throne of God their Father, where Christ is seated at His right hand.

Yes, God is able to be in more than one place at a time.

I posted on a group:

It’s a new year, but on groups like this will we continue to see the same false decrees as last year, or, are people slowly learning to fear God?

Hopefully there will be less false decrees.

Hopefully no one is decreeing that January is the “month of blessing”, or before February ends God will do a miracle for you, if you share the meme, which promotes a false prophet.

Jesus Christ hates everything fake.

People commit “copycat” sins.

They do what they see others do.

I pray the Holy Spirit is bringing the true fear of God on many, and they will preach the Cross of Jesus Christ, and not dishonor His holy name with fake decrees and offers of blessing.

I saw a statistic that only half of American evangelicals actually vote.

I think many don’t believe in voting, or perhaps think, What difference can my one vote make?

If they voted it could add anywhere from 20 to 30 million extra votes for the Republicans.

These people will not be able to complain about the loss of their freedoms under a Left wing regime.

They should have voted for the unborn, and the kids in school getting brainwashed, and for jobs, and a whole lot more.

Yeah, sure, Christians should be concerned about these things.

What is the logic? Trump is a carnal Christian, therefore I will not vote at all, and then, by default, I am voting for an anti-Christian movement, and I am partly responsible for the degradation of my nation.

I don’t think anyone understands the gravity of these two evils:

a. Killing the child in the womb.

b. Brain washing kids that evil is good.

If Donald Trump were to disappear, who would there be to hate?

Psychologically, and politically, people need a bogey man to vent their hate on, like a punching bag.

Someone they can spew out their vitriol on and then feel self righteous that at least they are more righteous than him.

If it wasn’t Trump, it would be someone else.

Yeah, you can be concerned

The Fool

If you hate someone enough then you don’t need any real evidence they’ve done anything wrong, you’ve already made up your mind.

If God ever declared something to be evil, then it still is.

The Atheist might appreciate the beauty of nature, but he has no one to thank for it.

The more ignorant people become the more patient we must become.

Some teach that we should not pray, “Thy will be done!”

Are they afraid that His will will be done?

Or afraid that their will may not be done?

Prosperity preachers say, Don’t pray, Thy will be done.

They are afraid if Gods will is done they will be exposed and lose everything.

If a fool can make us angry, then who’s the fool?

A relational church helps us learn to relate.

What is it?

It’s something more than a monologue.

Every time our thoughts turn toward God, joy should rise in our hearts.

There’s people whom I respect as human beings, and respect their abilities and what they’ve accomplished, and yet I don’t respect some of their values or beliefs about God.

How can we respect something which isn’t true?

We can respect people and be respectful without having to respect their beliefs.

The Bible says give honor to whom it is due.

An evil person is not worthy of honor, and yet they are to be treated with respect.

If every person on earth obeyed Jesus Christ then every policeman, soldier, lawyer, judge, arms dealer, pornographer, drug dealer, and all in the security business, or in the religion business, would be out of a job.

God never changes.

We must change.

He can change us.

This is what Jesus taught.

“The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.

Now it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness.” (2 Samuel 6:11-12)

Think about how God blessed the house of Obed-Edom.

It’s implied that everyone could see that God blessed that family during the three months the Ark remained in their house.

What could people see to arrive at the conclusion that God was blessing that family?

They had a lot of joy, peace and love?

And it showed?

God blessed the work of their hands?

I guess a society reaches a turning or tipping point when the new generation no longer understands the concept of “character”.

I commented on MacArthur saying women are not to preach:

I think within MacArthur’s paradigm of church, “preach” here means to stand up and deliver the official sermon of the week to the church. And that’s a very common understanding of what “preaching ” constitutes.

However, in the NT paradigm, as per 1 Cor. 14, a church assembly was not as simple as that.

There were various contributors in one meeting.

Women were permitted to prophesy.

So, I would take it that Paul’s command that women not teach or usurp male authority applies to the definitive teaching of Gods word to a local body of believers. They would not be permitted to look to a woman as a spiritual authority in the church.

For example, we would have no problem allowing a teen to share something from scripture, but we wouldn’t consider them a spiritual authority or an elder.

The talk now is about unity. Good.

First step: Apply the rule of law equally, without bias or prejudice.

This would be a step toward equality, which leads to respect, which leads to unity.

Arrest any protester who commits violence, even if they belong to Antifa or BLM.

This would be a first step to unity.

Christian, if you’re sharing God’s word, never underestimate the value, significance and power of what you’re doing.

No one can stop God pouring out His wrath on the earth because He has decreed He will do it.

Choose today to escape the wrath to come.

The Christian who bemoans that kids are indoctrinated in evil at school but refuses to vote is a stupid Christian.

Someone says, Jesus heals all who come to Him in faith.

But this would mean every person who had a terminal illness and sincerely asked Jesus to heal them, and He did not, and they died of that illness, lacked faith. ??

It can’t be as simple as that.

Agreed that the Bible teaches separation of church and state.

Christians, individually, can have a great influence in every sphere of society, as shining as lights in the world and as being the salt of the earth.

Christianity was never meant to be an organization.

“All things work together for good” means, God works all the things we encounter and experience in this life for good, for His purpose in us. The hard stuff you’ve experienced over the past week, He has worked for good in your heart. We learn the hard way.

This only applies if you are His.

The issues at stake in America can’t even be thoroughly addressed without one being censored. The Trolls will deplatform you.

It’s a shame on humanity that we need to be convinced about God, or convinced we need God, or convinced we’ve sinned against Him. It shows how perverse our natural state is.

How can someone be devoutly religious but baffled by the question, “Are you saved?” ?

How can an individual Christian stand and not be destroyed by the one who has deceived the whole world, murdered millions, and stirred up nation against nation?

By ourselves? No chance.

But as a new creation in Christ, seated with Him and filled with His Spirit, then it is possible if we believe.

It’s possible because Christ promised it.

Someone said, “Christianity is easily debunked”.

For sure, a lot of stuff in Christianity can be debunked.

But true Christianity is to love, trust and obey the PERSON of Jesus Christ.

Can you debunk the Person of Jesus Christ?

I know there’s a minority who believe Jesus did not exist, or, the whole account of his life, death and resurrection is merely a myth.

But the majority of thinkers over history have acknowledged Jesus as the greatest figure in human history.

As well, it’s hard to debunk the so many lives that have been transformed by Him, my own included.
