The word of God is sufficient.

If this truth gets a grip of your heart you might even become a solid Bible teacher.

….

A Bible teacher or commentator can sound very wise by ignoring the portions of scripture he can’t explain or which contradict his views.

…..

“For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” (Rom. 8:3-4)

What is it that the law could not do?

It couldn’t take out the heart of stone and replace it with a new, tender heart of flesh.

It couldn’t empower the hearer to keep the moral law. It could only tell them they’re wrong.

It couldn’t set them free from their sins.

It couldn’t forgive their sins.

It couldn’t engrave or inscribe those laws in the heart of man.

But God, through Christ, can and will do all of these.

…….

What is the best thing going?

It’s to know Jesus Christ.

……

Jesus said, “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” (John 7:38)

Time for a flow check.

…….

The struggle between good and evil will not be resolved by both parties reaching a compromise or settlement. Good won’t accept evil, and darkness won’t accept the light.

It will be resolved by Jesus Christ when He comes to judge the world.

……

Lack of faith is nothing to be proud of.

And faith is nothing to be proud of.

……

Open your mouth and talk to God.

What do you think?

Is He worth talking to?

…..

The world is, both, a stage where sin is played out, and where Jesus’ love reaches sinners and redeems them from their sins. Out of great tragedy springs great hope. In great darkness a light springs forth. There is great evil, and there is great redemptive love, both being played out on the same stage, side by side.

……

Is God your Father?

……

If you’ve chosen to live without Christ, have you fully understood the consequences of your choice?

…….

The power of God and the love of God are intertwined. His power is an expression of His love.

……

There is only one person who perfectly understands you, and His name is Jesus Christ.

……

With so many sick and dying around us, wouldn’t it be appropriate to be just that little bit extra thankful to God for the gift of good health?

…….

First, God created plants, with complex nutritional properties. Then, he created man to run on those nutritional values. The logic was, first, make everything man will need to live, then, make man in such a way that his body will be nourished and sustained by those complex nutritional factors.

If we are wise we will keep this in mind when we choose our diet.

And glorify Him for His design and wonderful provision.

……

Everyone understands the Bible is true the moment after they die.

……

If the world is crazy, and the world affirms you, then what does that make you?

……

God’s absolute Sovereignty, and man’s responsibility, are two parallel truths. People err when they emphasize one at the expense of the other. We have to accept both truths equally, or we are trapped in a circular argument, trading one for the other.

….

By definition, a Christian is one who has been persuaded by Christ, not by man.

……

We can do anything God has called us to do. Which should be obvious.

……

If things are not okay, it’s still okay, if the Lord is with you.

……

The sins of your race or nation

We can’t apologize for what others have done, but we can acknowledge the evil of it.

….

It’s never a question of which religion is “best” or “better” than other religions, it’s a question of Jesus saying that no one comes to the Father except through Him.

…….

When Trump was in office, Republicans objected to Dems mocking the President. Now, Dems are objecting to Republicans mocking the President.

We shouldn’t mock anyone, whether President or janitor.

‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’, Jesus said.

……

“Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?” (James 4:11-12)

a. In this letter, James is doing a whole lot of general judging in a righteous manner, but he doesn’t “speak evil” of anyone in particular. He doesn’t mock, despise or belittle anyone who is sinning, and this is what he means when he warns of “judging a brother”. And, it goes further than simply being rude toward someone, but it means to condemn the person as if you were God, as if you were their judge, and as if it is for you to decide their fate.

b. If we take the place of God and, as it were, push Him aside and take His place as judge, then we are judging Him and His laws. We would be rejecting and mocking Divine order, because, if God has appointed us as judges that would make His law redundant.

c. There is a big difference between condemning someone’s actions and condemning them as a person. The law judges the action. So, that is sufficient. Judge every action according to God’s word without sitting in condemnation over the sinner.

d. Jesus warned that those who label others as fools or morons are in danger of hell fire. They are playing God.

e. We cannot assume this prohibition only applies to judging brothers, and we are allowed to judge those who are not brothers. No.

……

Anyone who follows Jesus and goes to Heaven gets a free house, forever.

That’s a real promise Jesus gave.

It’s not an election promise.

Is anyone among you sick?

April 27, 2021

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” (James 5:14-15)

a. “Is anyone among you sick?” It implies that sickness was the exception, not the rule.

b. The sick person must call the elders. Jesus didn’t go around looking for the sick, they were looking for Him.

c. We assume it’s concerning serious illness, not a cold or a head ache, because, surely, if the person was able to get out of bed they would have gone to the assembly for prayer. It’s for incapacitated people, to call the elders to come to them. Not for people who can’t be bothered going to church and want someone to come and serve them.

d. The elders, plural, are to be called. This assumes the sick person is part of an assembly governed by elders. Note, it doesn’t say to call the pastor, although that would be okay if there are no elders. Call anyone who is a proven man or woman of God. Certainly, calling someone to come might tell you about their true nature as a shepherd, whether they are willing to come or not.

e. Anointing with oil is a symbolic gesture. The prayer of faith will save the sick, the oil won’t save them, however, perhaps, the oil is to remind of how serious such a transaction with God is, and as a practical expression of faith.

f. A group of men are praying, but it’s called “the prayer of faith”, singular. It’s one prayer. It’s a group praying as one voice, in agreement. And Jesus said when we agree together in prayer it will be done.

g. Implied, that if the sickness was caused by sin, the patient is truly sorry and penitent for that sin, so, along with being healed, they are forgiven, and God’s healing that sickness a sign He has forgiven the sin which caused it. And yet not all sickness is caused by sin.

h. It’s fair to say this scenario is nearly extinct from the church. Many people are so self sufficient or depend entirely on medical care or medication, that they wouldn’t do this. And, where would you find a group of elders willing to visit such a patient at any time of the day in an urgent time of need?

Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:6-8)

a. One day Christ’s visible, physical Kingdom will be in Israel and rule over the earth.

b. The times are under the Father’s sovereign authority.

c. It is not given to us to know God’s timing. He has told us what will happen, and the signs of His coming, but He has not told us when. This is very pertinent to the time we’re living in now with the Covid plague. We don’t know when it will be over, and we don’t need to know. We need to proceed by faith.

d. The timing is not our concern, but to be filled with the Holy Spirit and be His witnesses is all we need to be concerned about.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” (Rom 8:1) (Modern translations omit part B)

This means there is no condemnation from God toward those truly in Christ, and who live according to the Spirit.

It doesn’t mean that others won’t condemn us.

It means, even if the devil and the whole world condemns you, God doesn’t condemn you.

……

We could argue that the concept of justice was given to man by God.

It entails a price must be paid: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

The scales of justice need to be balanced.

So, imagine a world where there was no concept of justice?

Someone murders your child. You would just have to accept the fact that that’s what the murderer wanted to do, so, who are you to seek punishment for the murderer? And why would you seek the punishment of the murderer?

It goes far deeper than deterrence or teaching him a lesson: the scales of justice must be balanced.

There is an innate value called Justice.

Not surprising, then, that when people depart from God then true justice falls in the street, as scripture says.

True justice is becoming a rare commodity.

But God always executes His justice in the end.

No one ever escapes it.

But in the Cross divine justice is satisfied for all who believe.

Ask yourself, What is the purpose of my life?

Then go to the Bible and find out.

In the general sense, scripture describes our purpose in Christ, to know Him and make Him known.

In practical terms, our purpose will depend on where He has placed us.

Our role or purpose would be defined by our relationships and proximity with others, both family and friends.

Study on Chlorine Dioxide Solution for the treatment of Covid

April 21, 2021

A recent study was conducted on the effectiveness of Chorine Dioxide Solution for the treatment of Covid. I think it’s worth a read. I’m copying the conclusion from the report here in this post. You can use the link to download the report and read it.

In conclusion, we can affirm without a doubt, based on test of comparison of proportions and its confidence interval, as well as the paired tests where we used the Wilcoxon – Mann – Whitney test (α: 95%), that the data in most of
the variables (P < 0.05) obtained indicate that chlorine dioxide is effective in the treatment of COVID 19, making RT-PCR negative in one hundred percent of cases at 7 days, significantly and rapidly modifying the symptoms of the
disease, significantly reducing laboratory parameters to normality within 14 to 21 days. We recommend conducting randomized double-blind studies and delving into studies of toxicological safety and therapeutic efficacy of chlorine
dioxide in pathologies of epidemiological impact in the near future.

(Sorry for the delay, no internet)

Been saying this for years, that if you attend a church or fellowship it’s time to “stop the show” and get real. Speak up. Don’t just sit there like a dummy going through the syrupy Hillsong songs, and the same old routine. Speak up. If a church is spiritually dead it’s because its members are. The spiritually dead can’t change the status quo, and they wouldn’t have the courage to do it. Church is supposed to be a corporate business meeting with God. Read 1 Cor. 14.

……

The near future belongs to the violent, the pushy, the big mouths, the ones with no conscience left. But it won’t last long.

…..

The world is going to see the Bible “come to life” before their eyes in the coming years.

The message of the last book of the Bible is that God is very, very angry with mans rebellion against Jesus Christ, and yet He still calls all to come to Christ and flee the wrath to come.

Everything which can be shaken will be shaken, so that those things which can’t be shaken will remain, scripture says.

According to the Bible things are going to get much worse. We can thank the Lord for the warning and draw on His grace, or we can ignore His warning and get lost in the fantasy world of popular preachers.

……

Prayer:

You are our Father, we will not be ashamed.

…..

The imputed righteousness of Christ and practical righteousness are in harmony because Christ both imparts imputed righteousness and produces practical righteousness, so that a person is not theoretically righteous, but actually righteous, in reality.

For example, could a practicing criminal truthfully say, “See, I believe I have the righteousness of Christ imputed to me by faith, so nothing I do can add to or subtract from that righteousness!” ?

Unrighteous living is unbelief, not faith.

If the imputed righteousness of Christ is not evident in practical righteousness, then it is absent in that person, no matter what they profess.

……

It would be pointless to try and debate human rights with an Atheistic political regime, because they believe man is simply a highly evolved animal, and therefore there are no moral absolutes.

……

Anyone who’s read the Bible knows how it all ends.

And the disciple knows the end of this present world is just the glorious beginning for them.

……

Why wouldn’t we seek the Lord with all our heart?

Any valid reason not to seek Him with all our heart?

What could be preventing us doing that?

……

As Christians we are more likely to get sidelined by a lawful idol than a forbidden one. But it’s unlawful to make even a good thing into an idol.

…..

Those who care about your soul are the ones who really love you.

……

Jesus said to discern and proclaim the difference between right and wrong, but not to look down on those who are wrong.

Modern Christianity has this blurred.

……

When someone raises an objection to the Gospel by saying Christians have been responsible for many wars and the subjugation of people you can tell them that such “Christians” were not Christians by the definition Jesus Christ gave of what constitutes being one of His followers. When Christianity became cultural and political then multitudes identified as Christian who were not Christian at all by Christ’s definition, as is the case today. Jesus said that anyone who doesn’t forsake all to follow Him is not His disciple.

There’s two ways of looking at the history of the past two thousand years: You can look at it as the history of Christian culture, and, events like the Inquisition and Crusades, as the history of a crazed religious cult which borrowed the name of Christ, with no relation to the true Christian faith.

For example, Indians tend to think of the former British Empire as representing Christianity, but that’s a mistake. Christianity became a culture, and empires sprang out of that culture.

True Christianity has never been cultural.

Jesus taught that one must be born again.

Just following Christian customs and traditions doesn’t make you born again, it doesn’t make you a Christian.

…..

A relevant question for Christians everywhere:

Are you going to be a part of the great falling away?

…..

Big mistake to look at Jesus’ words as if it were merely just another philosophy, religion, or just a different way of looking at things. If that’s how you see it, then you don’t believe what He said, and don’t believe Him.

…..

Someone comments:

“If we are genuinely saved then we cannot “lose” our salvation. If that were the case then that means that our salvation is not by grace alone but by our works as well. Ephesians 2:8-9. All false religions are works based. Only in Christianity does God save us through His work, not ours.”

Reply:

Yes, scripture says a person is justified by faith, not by works.

And if they cast that faith away they certainly can’t be justified by faith, if they no longer have genuine faith in the sight of God. (It might be just a hollow confession, but inside their heart has been hardened against God, evident by their lifestyle)

So, works don’t justify a person, but if a justified by faith person returns to a lifestyle of sin their heart becomes hardened through unbelief, the scripture says.

So, faith will save, and unbelief (with it’s evil fruit) will condemn.

“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” (Heb. 3:12-15)

Grace and responsibility are in perfect harmony. Grace does not contradict responsibility, and responsibility does not contradict grace. Everything is grace, and if we turn away we’ll be lost.

If you ever wanted to emigrate to the US, now is the time. You can just walk right in.

Everything stands or falls in relation to the Person of Jesus Christ, alone. And eternal life is to know Him, and His Father, the Bible says.

Someone asks you, ‘But, how can you know for sure that you are right?’

Answer: It’s not about whether I am right. It’s about whether Jesus is right. It’s about whether He was telling the truth or not.

I believe He was telling the truth.

Or… someone asks, ‘How can you think your way is the only way?’

Answer: No, I don’t have a ‘my way’. Jesus said He is the only way. Either He is correct, or He’s mistaken. I believe He is correct.

During the course of a lifetime the average person suffers a variety of ailments, and they often get over them and get healed, by various means, and sometimes healed fast, and sometimes slow, but overall they can say the Lord kept them from dying before their time. The Lord may have used various means to preserve their life.

Important to know that the essence of true faith isn’t focused on our SELF.

Simply trusting God that all will be well is just as legitimate as the person who has the gift of faith to be instantly healed.

See…. what of a Christian who is obsessed with avoiding sickness, constantly making positive confessions, etc. Constantly trying to increase their faith so they won’t get sick.

They might be still obsessed with themselves, and not have genuine faith at all.

Sometimes an obsession with healing betrays fear.

How many in the “faith” movement are actually neurotic and its simply a way to calm their nerves?

……

In many ways, scripture defines faith and salvation in terms of repentance:

“God is not willing any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. “

……

One thing it means for God to be your Father is He takes care of you as His own child.

…….

What we see today is selective morality.

…….

“Christ demands first place. There’s no room on the throne of your heart for two gods.”

  • Billy Graham

……

The greatest caring is to care about someone’s soul.

……

When Christ is truly our goal, and our motivation to that end, then we never lose motivation in life.

……..

In Christ we see the greatest was also the most humble.

…….

If Christ is our life, then, all of our life, and all of our days, are His.

…….

We can’t stress how bad it would be for you to die without Christ. Jesus taught of conscious, eternal punishment – never ending suffering for those who die in their sins. Please take Jesus Christ seriously.

The sovereignty of God is surely not the property of John Calvin.

Simply put, it’s the belief that God has absolute authority over all creation, therefore, anything that does happen, happens only because He allowed it. It doesn’t necessarily mean He is the author of the event, but it is under His authority. He could stop or prevent it if He chose to.

The other alternative would be that events happen which God tried to prevent but failed to.

That God is in control of everything doesn’t mean He is the author of everything.

Sovereignty is a massive comfort for believers.

Continued….

Someone, then, invariably asks, If everything that happens is because God allows it, then that makes God responsible for the evil in this world by allowing it?

Answer:

Here it gets interesting, when a person has the audacity to start schooling God on what He should allow or not allow.

God allowed us all to sin.

Even as Christians we’ve all disobeyed God many times.

He allowed us to disobey.

What would it have been like if we tried to disobey but God overpowered us against our will and stopped us?

It would make us robots.

He gave us a free will to choose because, then, we are no longer programmed robots, but beings who can love Him through our choices, choosing what pleases Him.

Find out what it means to be a worshiper of God, and be one.

A favorite quote from the film, Citizen Kane: “Making a lot of money is not hard to do if all you want to do is make a lot of money.”

What do you really want in this life?

If all you really wanted was a lot of money then you would have no life. This desire would destroy you as a human being. You would be a shell of a person.

Like a TV evangelist. And like so many who hate TV evangelists. They’re more buddies than they realize.

……

Decades fly by.

…….

What would be the point of talking to God if He didn’t talk back?

A disciple is always happy doing the Lord’s work because they’re a disciple – that’s what they are now.

Normally, when people look to the future and think about what the rest of their life will be like they’re looking at 40, 20, 10 or less years – that’s the limit, and whatever their life is going to be is confined to this brief timeframe. Of course, they may only have days to live and not know it.

But when a Christian looks forward they see eternity. They see themselves living forever. It is just as real as this present life.

……

The crucifixion was as barbaric as anything can be barbaric.

We are supposed to view our own sins through that lens of the Cross, and understand how barbaric and God hating WE are, and receive His amazing grace, paid in full on that Cross.

……

A Liberal says, What’s wrong with doing something if you’re not hurting anyone else?

Two reasons, one, you’re destroying yourself, and that’s wrong because God gave you life, and you have no right to destroy what He created, and, two, you are spitting in the face of Jesus Christ, and counting His sacrifice for your sins on the Cross as a worthless sacrifice.

The Bible says God’s message to the world is about a Man, bloodied and bruised, and nailed to a cross.

Have you understood the Message yet?

…..

We owe our existence to God.

Are you happy He decided that human beings should exist?

It was His idea.

……

Where is the presence of God?

Inside the true disciple of Jesus Christ.

This is the Gospel.

……

The idea that only people of a certain skin color are racist, is, itself, a racist idea.

It seems everyone and everything is racist now, except for those who push this ideology. So, you must become one of them, because you wouldn’t want to be a racist, now, would you?

When a white man commits a crime they make sure you know he was white, because his color is an issue, but when a black man does the same thing, his color is not mentioned because his color is not an issue. Can you see a particular ideological narrative being pushed here? You might say you’re not “religious” but unaware you’ve been conditioned into accepting a false ideological narrative.

I believe “hate crimes” don’t exist. An equitable judiciary would only see “crime”, not “hate crimes”. Whether a person had hate is irrelevant if they have committed a crime. And skin color never needs to be mentioned. Not too long ago, when people had more intelligence, race, color or religion had virtually no place in the reporting and treatment of crime.

……

Israel is the only nation whose historical existence is punctuated again and again by supernatural events. The truth is better than fiction.

One of the reasons Israel is hated so much is because it is the most visible reminder that the Bible is true. And, that the Bible is true is the scariest thing for modern man to contemplate.

…….

This planet is teeming with life, but every living thing dies. Jesus announced there will be a new earth for His followers where nothing ever dies. Death will be unknown.

It was His death which destroyed death, and His resurrection which gives eternal life.

……

If you had been there to watch Jesus heal the blind, the cripples, and raise the dead, would you also have become one of His disciples?

…..

The Incarnation denotes the preexistence of Christ, and also that it was irreversible, and not a temporary state.

……

Easter.

Not just any man suffering horrific cruelty at the hands of man, but God in the flesh hanging on a Cross. Now, why would God incarnate end up on a Cross? Why would the Father be willing to sacrifice His Son? Why would the Son be willing to be sacrificed? What for? Trying to prove something? Or was God making a transaction within Himself?

Everything we NEED to know about God is contained in the answers to these questions.

And everything we need to know about religion is answered by these answers.

……

An idol worshiper is simply one who worships anything other than God, and the worst kind of idol worshiper is the one who claims to be a Christian.

……..

May you be enriched in the knowledge of Christ today.

……

Do satanists know they’re backing a loser?

……

Our pride is not worth defending. Defend something worthwhile.

……

Christian, the Holy Spirit wants to guide your every step.

……..

A Christian prayer:

“Lord Jesus, thank you for washing away my sins in your own blood! Without you washing away my sins I could never have come to God, I would have remained unclean, guilty and defiled, cut off from your goodness and love, and deserving your punishment. But you had mercy on me. Thank you for changing me from a rebel to a son. Thank you for giving me eternal life.”

……

(Eph. 6:10-20)

Verse 12 says the spiritual “rulers of the darkness of this age” are fighting against true Christians.

They rule everyone who doesn’t know Christ. They used to rule us, but Christ set us free and He now rules in our hearts. But they desperately try to bring us again under their power so that we do what they say and disobey the Lord.

What a great victory Christ has wrought for us! We must “be strong in the Lord and the power of His might” by heeding the truth here.
