If you’re saved it’s because Jesus saved you.

No one has ever saved himself.

God is a Father to His own children – those who live in His Son, Jesus Christ.

He is the true Father, and only His true children know and understand this, with all it entails.

When Jesus of Nazareth called His disciples to follow Him did they get the impression this was a means to become wealthy?

If any did have dreams that this could make them wealthy, before too long they realized that was not to be.

So… if Copeland (or suchlike) had started their “ministry” around the same as Jesus of Nazareth, then, perhaps the disciples may have been tempted to do some “church hopping” and leave Jesus ministry to join Kenneth’s, because Kenneth promised wealth, whereas Jesus didn’t?

Nothing has changed.

The choice is still there today as to whose ministry one will follow.

Jesus of Nazareth?

Or, Kenneth of Fort Worth?

Or, Joel of Houston?

“Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.”

We request our Father to work His will this day because we believe He has the power and authority to work His will this day, and that He WILL work His will this day.

His will is intertwined with His Kingdom.

His Kingdom is the expression of His will.

Something is a representation of the Kingdom if it serves the purpose of the Kingdom.

Desire that others receive the same mercy you’ve received.

Spiritual weakness is always the result of spiritual neglect or compromise.

God knows the thoughts of every person on earth, the Bible says.

He knows what you’re thinking about this right now.

Has He reconciled you to God?

Would you consider God reconciling you to Himself as a religious belief? Or the greatest reality there is?

Does the state own your mind?

In the most simplistic terms, the Kingdom of God is, for the present time, the sum of what Christ is working in the hearts and lives of people worldwide. It is His Kingdom, it is the reach of His authority, touching and transforming lives in every nation, conforming them to His nature, in love, preparing them to live forever in His eternal Kingdom.

Democracy only has value if the majority have some fear of God, otherwise, it’s meaningless.

It is satan’s job to make evil appear beautiful.

How can one know Jesus Christ?

Well, where will you go to get the answer to this question? Who has the answer?

He has. Go to Him for the answer.

He said, who ever believes on Him has eternal life.

He said, He will reveal Himself to anyone who keeps His words.

“Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” (John 14:23)

When you hear someone speak God’s word be careful to pay more attention to the actual content of the message than to the personality of the one giving it.

For a person to live in total spiritual darkness all they need to do is keep shutting out the light of God’s word anytime it starts to shine into their gloomy world.

“… I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave His life for me…”

Is this also your testimony?

There are no great people, but the Holy Spirit can and will do great things in anyone.

Over the history of science, scientists have often questioned the science. Thank God they did.

How much money did Jesus need to fulfill His ministry? How did He get that money?

(Just some questions, of which the answers explain a lot to us about how we can fulfill our personal ministries, which God has given each one of us)

In only a matter of time every one you know will be dead, and they’ll be either in Heaven or Hell.

It may sound bleak, but it’s the truth, and we should play our God-given part in seeing that folks go to Heaven.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Cor. 5:17)

Therefore, if the old things have not passed away, and all things have not become new, then that person is not a new creation in Christ.

And… if anyone wants to become a new creation in Christ, it follows, then, that they must want all the old things to pass away, and for everything in their life to be made new.

A new creation in Christ is, therefore, an entirely new kind of creature, a new species of being, entirely different to the creature they were before – a creature who bears the image of the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, because they have been recreated in His image.

“…And have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him…” (Col. 3:10)

“…And that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” (Eph. 4:24)

Serving God is honor and reward in itself. It doesn’t look for any other reward or recompense.

A lot of Christians would perhaps like to freely congregate together in their localities or towns for relational, participatory church, but they can’t agree on how it will work, or don’t believe it could work without an organizational structure. In other words, they don’t have the faith for it because it is something unknown to them in their experience.

If they agree on the purpose for gathering, which is to allow all the gifts to have a voice, to build up the body of Christ, then it “works”.

So why doesn’t it happen?

Because individuals don’t have personal practical experience in building up others with the word of God on a personal level, so they can’t do it in a gathering.

Worship of God, in Spirit and Truth, is, by definition, a person’s response to revelation from God. He reveals to us something of who He is, and we, either, appropriately respond to that revelation, which is to worship, or we ignore Him.

Another sign of Christian maturity is to have a clearer understanding of the difference between the Holy Spirit and your spirit, and soul.

Mark 4:14-20 is the explanation of the parable of the sower.

There are four types of soil.

Only one of those soils bears lasting fruit.

At the beginning of a person’s commitment to Christ, and for quite some time, it may not be obvious which type of “soil” they are.

But time will always tell, according to this parable.

If you have doubts about which type of “soil” you are, because you struggle with besetting sin, then you’ll need to clear that matter up.

Do you want to be “good soil”?

Is that what you want with all your heart?

Then you probably are good “soil”, by the grace of God.

“Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble” (2 Peter 1:10)

The scripture is still inspired and is the seed of the Gospel, which, when sown in the right soil, bears the fruits of salvation, regardless of the authenticity of the church setting.

And yet, out of honor and respect for the Lord Jesus Christ, we should be very vocal respectfully pointing out expressions of church which misrepresent Him, and explaining how they misrepresent Him.

Aussie, peaceful protest is great, but weren’t these suckers democratically elected? What if the majority want a tyrannical government?

But there’s a vacuum of moral leadership.

America has far more potential good leaders.

Aussie is lacking.

Spiritually, Aussie is a bizarre place.

Look at a full xray of yourself and know that the real you is more than simply a skeleton covered with meat. Am I getting religious now?

To those who have a problem with God: be more concerned whether God has a problem with you.

To speak out about something doesn’t necessarily mean you think you can change the world by speaking out. It could simply mean you think it’s wrong to keep silent.

Serving God is forever.

If someone has the Holy Spirit living in them you would think they would have the same standard of holiness as He does?

In the New Testament, “church” describes the body of Christ, and it is also describes the action of gathering and relating between the members of His body. The Greek word means “an assembly”. An assembly describes a company of people, as well as the act of assembling. In other words, we are the church, and therefore we assemble or “do church” together. Assembling or gathering, regardless of the number, or the time or location, is church, because that’s what church is, an assembly or gathering. The purpose and function of the gathering defines it. Just gathering doesn’t make it church.

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Rom. 5:1-2)

You can’t be half justified before God – You either are, or you aren’t.

Make sure you are.

Make sure He has justified you by His death and resurrection, and not you trying to justify yourself.

“My Christian brother and his family are hiding in Afghanistan. They take turns staying awake and praying, while others sleep, as they’re being hunted. They have no passports, no visas, and very little of what they need most of all – hope.

Time is running out. They live in fear of a single knock on their hiding place door from the Taliban. They were sharing the gospel with others. Now, they’re just trying to survive. Even that is increasingly difficult. The small population of Christians in Afghanistan is rapidly vanishing.

Some have fled to the hills, others have retreated into the shadows, turning off their phones and hunkering down in whatever undisclosed locations they can find. Some have just gone missing completely. People are going missing and getting killed every day. I’m hearing harrowing stories of desperate parents. Children are being shot and beheaded.

The Taliban are taking the kids. “If you’re hiding, and they find your family, they’ll put the word out that ‘we’ve got your brother or son or daughter.’ They’re cutting off the heads of boys that are nine and ten.”

Two little girls managed to hide after their parents were murdered, but eventually, they got so hungry that they ventured out to the market. The Taliban found them, raped them, and beat them.

The Taliban are now going door-to-door taking women and children. People must mark their house with an ‘X’ if they have a girl over 12 years old, so that the Taliban can take them. If they find a young girl and the house was not marked they will execute the entire family.

Fathers are handing guns to their wives and daughters so that they can kill themselves if the terrorists come. Even hiding is a double-edged sword. “Every day,” one Christian recently reported, “I receive a phone call from a private number. A soldier warns me that if he sees me again, he’ll behead me.” The Taliban are tracking them, stalking them, warning them they know where they are.

Many believers have simply gone completely dark. My Christian brother hiding in Afghanistan is risking his life to communicate with me, as he huddles with his family in an undisclosed location, listening to the manhunt outside. But he’s running out of options. He knows the Taliban are killing the Christians to spread fear.

Christians hiding in Afghanistan are wondering if this night will be their last. My friend and his family are not afraid to die. Like many there, they are more afraid the world will forget them. “Pray for us,” he asked. “Pray that the Lord will put his angels around us.” “

The world thinks that it can continue to survive and succeed without turning from evil and turning to Jesus Christ.

Think again.

God’s judgments will bring the greatest plans of man crashing down.

It would be wise to make plans for eternity.

Who ever you are, your life is redeemable.

There is a Redeemer.

Jesus Christ.

I’m sure God would fill you with His Spirit if that’s what you REALLY want – if that’s the kind of life you actually want, and no other kind of life.

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand”

(Matthew 7:24-26)

Rock or sand foundation?

A rock is immovable, but sand shifts with the times.

A rock is unchangeable.

Sand is always changing.

If Jesus ever loved you, He still loves you. He remains the same.

If Jesus ever spoke, what He spoke still remains true.

But without doing what Jesus said your life will be destroyed.

Not because He doesn’t love you, but because you built on sand.

God will not hear our complaints about people, but He will hear our prayers for them.

Better to be unembarrassed about Jesus now than embarrassed to face Him later.

To justify anything the Bible calls sin is to not have the holy fear of God, and this holy fear or reverence is the beginning of wisdom, scripture says, therefore, if we justify any sin we are fools, and lack the wisdom of God.

Our attitude to prayer is a great indicator of our actual attitude to God. How seriously we take prayer indicates how seriously we take God.

When a Christian’s emotional state doesn’t match what they believe, or contradicts what is true in Christ, instead of then buckling under the pressure of that emotional state, they push into God by faith and stand, having done all to stand. It drives them deeper into God, and not away from God.

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore…” (Eph. 6:13,14a)

X – Which organization do you belong to?

Y – I don’t belong to an organization.

X – Then you must be an Independent?

Y – I’m not spiritually independent because I’m in fellowship and relationship with many Christians.

X – Then, who are you accountable to?

Y – The Christians I know, and who know me. If you want to know what kind of person I am you can ask them.

X – How does that work without an organization?

Y – It works because we have genuine friends whom we have known over many years, and who will question us and correct us if we stray from the truth, either doctrinally or morally.

X – But what if your friends are wrong, themselves, and therefore aren’t able to correct you?

Y – .That would be assuming my friends are lesser Christians, or less mature or knowledgeable than those in organizations. How would you know that for a fact?

The starting and ending point of Christianity, the beginning and the end, and everything in between, is the fact that Christ lives in us, and we in Him. Everything stems from this fact. Everything hinges on our response to this fact, and what we do with this truth, and how this truth and reality impacts our life, the way we live, and what we do with our life.

Those who gamble with the grace of God will lose the bet.

The skill or art of Christian dialogue is to speak with grace, while not dancing around the truth.

What’s the point of speaking graciously if what you’re saying is false or dishonest?

That would be deceptive, smooth talking.

While, on the other hand, speaking the truth without grace is just as bad, as per 1 Cor. 13, and the clashing cymbals.

Some random signs of Christian maturity:

  • You’re quick to forgive.
  • You pray for everyone you are in contact with.
  • Your conscience is more at peace than ever before.
  • The world has lost its attraction and pull on you.
  • You’re not in the least shocked or surprised by the state of the world.
  • You love the Lord more, now, than when you first believed.
  • You live a more victorious life over sin than ever before.
  • You have more genuine, inner joy than ever before.
  • You are less susceptible to distractions than before.
  • You’re wiser to know if you are being baited.
  • You are less impressed with anyone, including yourself, than previously.
  • You only want to do the will of God and faithfully finish the work He gave you.
  • You are more interested in Heaven and eternity than previously.
  • You eagerly look for the Lord’s return more than ever before.
  • You genuinely love to wait on the Lord.
  • You’re less interested in, or troubled by, people’s opinions of you.
  • You have more genuine love and care for people than before.
  • You have better control over your tongue than previously.

“It has come to my attention that your educators are distributing essentially what is child pornography in the classroom…”

Is our world and God’s world two separate worlds?

As in the sentence, “Jack is living in his own world”.

Obviously, I’m not implying there is a separate world where God is not there.

The private world many people create and live in is their own world: a world without God.

For genuine Christians, they don’t believe their feelings establish reality, because reality doesn’t hinge on how they feel – reality doesn’t change with how they feel, it doesn’t conform to our feelings, because genuine Christians believe in the reality of Christ regardless of their feelings, knowing that reality is reality, and it has nothing to do with fickle emotions.

Not one religious figure in history has been able to save even one soul. They were not able to get even one person to Heaven. Nor could any of them save their own souls.

Seeing instances where anyone who disagrees with the Liberal narrative is falsely labeled “right wing”. This disingenuousness is a fundamental problem with that narrative.

Some of my non-Christian friends might think Christianity means cathedrals, costumes, boring rituals…

Or, joyless, monotonous religious duties and obligations…

Or, dudes on TV flashing their pearly whites so you’ll throw some money at them…

But I ask you to open up the Bible to the New Testament and check if you can find any of these things in the life of Jesus, or in His disciples.

Jesus calls us to follow Him, and it is to Him all will one day give an account.

So, the rest is irrelevant.

“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:13)

John doesn’t tell people they have eternal life just because they identify as Christian. He is not giving his assurance to people who might not have assurance (As is so common today. Many are trying to reassure those who have no assurance).

What he does do, however, is give them the tools, the right questions to ask themselves, so each person can determine, themselves, whether they have eternal life.

There’s a set of questions we are to ask ourselves – a test.

Only if those questions are truthfully answered in the affirmative can we be sure we have eternal life.

For example:

“We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.” (1 John 3:14)

Sometimes we comment on topical issues simply because we have a sense of justice, and that sense comes from God.

What is eternal life like?

“And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” (Rev. 21:3-5)

In Christ’s eternal Kingdom there will be no crying, sorrow, pain or death because the CAUSE of these things will no longer exist – sin will no longer exist.

Scripture describes the ultimate utopian society, in the Kingdom of Christ.

It will be a society just as real as the present one, in a physical landscape, with real houses, real jobs to do, real friends.. life goes on.. FOREVER.

And yet everyone you meet in this society knows you and loves you. And you will know and love them.

An unkind word is never again heard, for all eternity.

For all eternity you will not encounter even one prideful or selfish person.

Such things will be ancient history.

Their memory only existing because the memory of Calvary will never be erased, for all eternity.

Christ Jesus, the King, will bear the scars for eternity, and this reminder will forever be before our eyes.

Heaven is as hi-tech as you can get.

But YOU will be the hi-tech, you won’t need any devices.

Self glory is the pathway to a meaningless life.

Call and Response

A disciple is a responder to the call of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He calls, they respond to His call.

This is how they live their life, answering and responding to the call of God.

Selective outrage is one of the inequities of this world.

It’s closely allied to selective morality.

Do we understand how the Holy Spirit worked in the ministry of the Lord Jesus?

There was no program.

It was relational.

The Holy Spirit’s ministry was according to real encounters with people.

Jesus didn’t come and just deliver a stage-managed sermon to Israel and then go.

The ministry was fluid, based on whom He was meeting, encountering and dialoging with at the time.

But it wasn’t confusion. The Holy Spirit orchestrated everything, even though nothing was planned like a human program.

A journey is one thing.

And a journey with God is another thing altogether.

Read something about Governments suppressing effective treatments, fearing they will interrupt the vaccine rollout. That is, if people know they can treat themselves cheaply and effectively at home, then they will be less willing to get jabbed.

It’s a special kind of stupid.

There is no “spiritual” apart from true faith in Jesus Christ.

Unless you count communing with evil spirits as “spiritual”?

No one (except Jesus) chose to be born. Our existence was not our idea. But here we are, and we had nothing to do with it.

For me, it’s a profound thought to ponder, that only a few short years back I did not exist.

(But an even more profound thought is that I will live forever in Christ Jesus.)

Now, since we had nothing to do with our existence in the first place, doesn’t it seem fair and reasonable to cheerfully acknowledge and yield to God’s claim on your life?

In this light, how could His claim be unreasonable?

Christians believe their existence is God’s idea, before and above it being the idea of their parents.

The fact that Jesus Christ promised eternal life for His disciples should settle any questions one has about their existence.

You’re here, and you can have eternal life.

Life, itself, is a miracle and a profound mystery, and eternal life an even greater truth.

The greatest thing the world has taught me is that it is nothing.

After six thousand years of war it’s not realistic to think that wars will cease, considering human nature has not changed. It will be more of the same.

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Cor. 6:19-20)

Our bodies belong to God and not to us. We are stewards or caretakers of His property.

Everything of which our life consists was bought at a price: the redeeming death of God’s Son on the Cross.

Our mind, our tongue, our desires, thoughts, our strength and abilities: they all belong to God.

For us, it’s a glorious truth, but for the world, it’s an affront to man’s arrogance.

  • Motivates us
  • Inspires us

In the text below there are perhaps two possibilities:

a. They were Liberals and did not believe the sins they were practicing were actual sins.

b. They believed God’s grace would cover their unrepentant behavior.

Either way, they thought they were okay with God.

They are terrified to find out they never knew Jesus and were never saved.

No matter how cruel or evil the actions of people are, a true Christian desires they come to repentance and receive God’s mercy in Jesus Christ.

The Taliban disgust us. We can’t imagine how people could be so inhuman, and yet Christ died for them just the same. We would be inhuman if we didn’t desire they receive the same salvation which we have received.

Our joy comes from Heaven, via the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven, and is manifest in this life we live in this world. It’s a joy which comes from Heaven, it doesn’t come from this world, but it enables us to overcome this world by faith, and keep our eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ, who will return from Heaven.

The Holy Spirit is never threatened by someone using their brain.

If you have the Holy Spirit, do you fully grasp the PURPOSE
the Father and the Son sent Him to dwell in you?

His mission, in being sent into us, is to take us to glory with Him, a transformed-into-the-likeness-of-the-Son people.

He came from Heaven. He will return to Heaven with us. We will be the fruit of His mission, for we, the Redeemed, are the purpose of His mission to earth.

From the first convictions we had about God, to our conversion and regeneration, to our empowering, to teaching us the scriptures, sanctification, encouragement and correction, love, joy and gifts… …He has been the agency through which the Father and the Son have done all this.

He is taking us to glory, therefore may we not grieve, quench or resist the HOLY Spirit, but live and walk in the Spirit.

“In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God.” – Bible

In whatever suffering or hardship we are enduring, there is still so much to thank God for.

I don’t want suffering to make me lose sight of how much abundant grace is showered upon me daily.

Prayer is the extension of your faith, the voice of your faith, the expression of your faith, and a manifestation of your faith.

(Obviously, I’m referring to genuine prayer)

Prayer was, and always is, God’s idea.

What do you do with this statement:

“God told me to tell you!”

The issue is, it is for the hearers to rightly discern by the word of God whether any message is from God.

At all times we need to discern whether God is speaking to us or whether its merely a message from man.

So, adding “God told me” , apart from being narcissistic, it discourages people from discerning, it’s as though they would be guilty if they did indeed test the message, because if God was speaking, how dare we question God?

So, it’s very manipulative.

So, encountering narcissism, manipulation, self glorifying, merchandizing… etc.. are all signs it is cultic.

The person to whom God has freely imputed the righteousness of His Son loves and practices righteousness and hates evil, and doesn’t confuse the two.

“…And they shall be all taught by God…” (John 6:46)

(The precedents in the NT record have authority in themselves. If we ignore the precedents we ignore God’s authority to some extent. Much of church today totally ignores the precedents of NT church life and function)

Jesus is returning bodily and physically as a Man. The Man who is God, and who has a glorified physical body, with the nail scars still showing.

He will sit in a physical temple in Jerusalem and rule this world for a thousand years.

If Biden sends special forces in on a rescue mission then its a testament to his incompetence.

Leave them behind, then, find out that the voting public is not too happy about that, so quickly organize a rescue mission to rescue those you callously left behind?

So its highly unlikely he would embarrass his administration even more.

Its tragic but not surprising that the same admin which approves of murdering babies treats its citizens as expendable.

Appeasing Muslim voters in the US was surely a factor in Biden trusting the Taliban.

There must be many thousands of Muslim voters who support both Biden and the Taliban.

Christian, how much has God, in His Son, forgiven you?

Can you estimate the magnitude of that forgiveness, personally, for you?

You might, to some degree, be aware that, all your life, you broke the commands of God and tread His laws contemptuously and defiantly under your feet.

Okay, with that degree of awareness, can you comprehend the magnitude of such forgiveness required to forgive such an exhaustive list of offenses and transgressions against God?

God’s forgiveness would be useless if it were in part. A partly forgiven person is no better off than the one who has found no forgiveness.

The only basis by which God can forgive our sins is that His Son, Jesus Christ, bore the penalty of those sins, which was death in our place, washing us from our sins in His own blood, the just for the unjust.

Therefore, as Christ’s work on the Cross is perfect and was accomplished in full, God’s forgiveness is perfect and in full. It can never be dispensed in measures, only in full.

“Blessed is the man to whom God will not impute sin.”

So, are you forgiven?

Or are you still guilty?

What is the advantage for despotic governments to suppress information about effective and proven Covid treatments?

It draws the focus away from vaccination, and that would weaken their plans to gain more control over peoples personal lives.

If they promoted the treatments very few would die. This is proven.

But that is not an option because it means people won’t be controlled, and the pharmaceutical industry would lose.

Are you just a skeleton covered with meat, or is there more to you than that? Do you have a soul? Do you have a spirit?

Bible prophecy warns us things are going to get a lot harder for real Christians. I’m glad for the warning.

“REMEMBER: 97% of scientists agree with whoever is funding them!”

You would think that if a person is a Christian they would believe everything Jesus said, be captivated, joyful and excited by what He said, and act upon it?

Me – “Church should be along the guidelines of the New Testament example and pattern.”

Institutional pastor – “And do you think you follow the New Testament pattern and we don’t? Do you think you are better than us?”

Me – “How does what I do, or don’t do, have any bearing on what you believe and do? I’m asking you to follow the New Testament pattern, not me. It has nothing to do with me.”

(The word of God does not stand or fall on what Christians do or don’t do. It does not rest on man. Man can neither add or subtract from its authority.)

If Jesus Christ has given you eternal life, how could He be just part of your life?

There are approximately 7 to 8 billion people alive right now.

Many are in desperate circumstances.

Some are all alone in this world.

Some are surrounded by people but still all alone.

Many are in deep pain, either physically, emotionally or spiritually.

But the Lord Jesus Christ sees every one of these folks – the forgotten people whom no one sees.

The Bible says He is near to the broken hearted.

If you are one of these, or even if you’re not, NOW IS YOUR TIME, for Jesus Christ is calling you to come to Him.

Jesus said, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest”.

If you know Jesus, no matter what happens, you can’t lose.

And the converse is also true.

“Ridiculous rhetoric”

Describes so much of the spin we hear.

Nature is God ‘right in your face’, so to speak.

But, no, nature is not God.

The Holy Spirit who lives in a disciple of Christ is the same God who is seated in Heaven. There is only one God.

When the Holy Spirit teaches, convicts, instructs, comforts, encourages, warns or guides you, that is God the Father speaking from Heaven , through His Son, by His Spirit in you. It’s a message from Heaven, from another world, not of this world.

Whatever you really need, ask the Father.

And we can also ask for our friends as well.

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

(2 Corinthians 5:21)

Jesus took our place and suffered in our place.

And on this basis, by faith, we are accounted as having been crucified with Christ and risen with Him.

“knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.” (Romans 6:6)

On this basis satan no longer has power over us.

To be freed from sin’s power is to be freed from satan’s power.

Jesus died for the sins of the whole world.

Satan can only have power over you while sin has power over you.

Only the new creation in Christ by the Holy Spirit – only this person has power over sin and is truly free.

A suggested prayer, if this is what you want:

‘Father, please make me a man/woman of prayer. In Jesus name.’

If this is what we truly want, then it’s ours.

Why does so much modern “worship” have an emphasis on creating an emotional state through cheesy, emotional, repetitive tunes?

Its designed to touch the emotions of the “worshiper”.

It’s great to get emotional about God, but not because you were manipulated into feeling a certain way by overtly emotional tunes.

It’s like a drug for people.

The truth makes me emotional, or stirs my deepest being.

Cheesy, pathetically bad music does not.

The philosophy behind it is that cheesy songs attract Gods presence.

If you play the cheesy music, He will come.

Then… they interpret the manipulation of their emotions to mean that God’s presence has come into the building.

Then they are trapped on a treadmill.

They have to perform the ritual every time to get Him to come.

But the Gospel is the opposite.

The Gospel is Christ in you, 24/7.

A “worship” where self is the theme must be a worship of oneself.

Would really like to see a survey done on violent offenders in the US to see their political leaning.

Concerning Paul:

“But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.” (Acts 9:15)

It truly sounds like God had a plan preprepared for Paul. A very precise plan. You just can’t walk in before kings and preach to them, but, if it’s God’s plan, yes, you can, and Paul did. And his sufferings, also, were integral to fulfilling that divine plan.

Paul also said that he must be obedient to the heavenly calling and be diligent to walk along that planned route, preplanned by God.

Are we different?

Do we follow anything we can imagine we want to do?

Or are we aware, like Paul, that God has already planned our route and we should seek His plan?

Sometimes I look up at the stars and say, ‘This all belongs to my Father!’.

“Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.” (1 Chronicles 29:11)

Try to reconcile these two truths:

a. There are degrees of morality: some people are more wicked than others.

b. Even the most moral person has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. That is, every person must bear the wages of their sin, which is death – separation from God. …Unless they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and are redeemed by His grace.

Quite a number of Christians are in survival mode, rather than being focused on fulfilling and finishing their ministry.

If we are about the Father’s business we need not be concerned about our survival.

This is what Jesus taught. “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you”.

The early church was not survival focused, but focused on doing the will of the Father.

Refer to Matthew 25:24-30.

Bible believers already know what will happen in the future, but they don’t know the timings of the prophetic events foretold in Scripture, so this is the tension: they know what will happen, but not when it happens, therefore, they keep pushing ahead by faith, resting in the knowledge that the times and seasons are in the Father’s hand.

It just doesn’t sound real to profess your love to someone when you have no idea who they are, and also no real inclination to know them in real life.

“My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”

(1 John 3:18)

People living in unreality is the real pandemic.

Someone writes, “Hell is merely Gehenna, a rubbish dump outside Jerusalem”.

Reply: That is where Hell got its name from.

In that rubbish dump the fire never went out.

This was demonstrative of the fact that the torment of Hellfire is a fire which never goes out.

Jesus said the fire which torments in Hell will never be extinguished (Mark 9:42-48).

Which underlines the urgency of His message.

So, don’t follow cult teachings.

Believe what the Lord Jesus Christ said.

Jesus paid it all on the Cross.

Now, what are you going to do with this information?

If you believe it to be a fact, what are the implications and ramifications for you?

Jesus said, “When you see all these signs, Look up! for your redemption draws near”.

The natural tendency is to look around at everything going on and not look up to where the real business is going on.

There is only one Father.

There is only one Lord Jesus Christ.

There is only one Holy Spirit.

The church universal is all the people who have this same, one and only, Holy Spirit in them.

It’s a people who share the same Spirit, and are in Christ.

And we need to understand it’s always been this way.

If you are truly born again, then the same Holy Spirit which descended onto the Son of God at His baptism, and the same Spirit which descended upon the disciples on the Day of Pentecost, and who dwelt in the Apostles and Prophets and all who live godly in Christ Jesus ever since, dwells in you.

The same Spirit which inspired the scriptures.

The same Spirit which blooded over the waters when the earth was created.

The same Spirit which raised Jesus Christ from the dead.

He dwells in the true believing saint, who is looking for the Lord’s return.

What is He doing in your life today?

The people who truly love you, these are your treasure on the earth. Treasure them.

Thank God He doesn’t require us to earn our salvation, otherwise we would have no chance.

Are you what the Lord Jesus calls a “good and faithful servant”?

My guess is that the truly good and faithful servants won’t be self aware that they are good and faithful servants.

True Christianity is salvation: to be saved, justified and sanctified, and salvation is, both, a belief, and a spiritual experience or encounter. Our faith is real, and, as well, the power of the Holy Spirit in us is real. Therefore, our salvation is not merely a belief we have.

Self-importance suggests a person doesn’t walk with Jesus Christ.

Because only He is truly important.

A woman can’t say that the human being in her womb is “her body”.

Therefore, she has no right to murder him or her.

An unborn baby is obviously a human being.

People have been brainwashed into believing otherwise.

For the nominal or cultural Christian, their own ideas are more important to them than God’s word.

Without God, would your life mean anything?

Because, if God doesn’t exist, then, what does your existence amount to?

It would mean you are here by accident, not purpose, and in a few short years you will cease to exist, and everything about you will be gone and forgotten, forever, because all who knew and loved you would also have ceased to exist, and time goes on, and it’s as if you never existed.

Is this the future you believe in?

Do you believe this to be true, or do you believe in the existence of God?

There has always been immorality, but in times past it had shame attached to it and it was socially unacceptable. Things gradually changed so that it became socially acceptable, the shame removed, and it didn’t stop there, it developed to the point where it’s more than merely accepted, but the preferred and enlightened way of life, even to the extent that those who are not immoral are excluded and no longer fit into society.

Wherever the Holy Spirit is, and in whomever He is dwelling, we can be sure He is building the Kingdom of Christ there.

A note on Covetousness:

To covet wealth is to compromise and distort the truth of the Fatherhood of God, and our sonship.

Why wasn’t Jesus covetous?

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”” (Hebrews 13:5)

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”

(1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

When it comes to standing by faith, facts are more important than feelings. Our faith rests on the facts concerning who the Lord Jesus Christ is, not on how we feel at any given point in time.

Man’s greatest enemy is himself.

And man’s greatest friend is Jesus Christ.

What Jesus understood about His Father, we should also understand, because we have the same Father.

What kind of father is He?

Genuine faith in Jesus Christ is always in step with His word and Spirit.

“I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean (no unclean food) of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.” (Rom. 14:14)

So, some people are convinced that certain foods are unclean, but Jesus does not consider those foods to be unclean.

Their conscience is bound to something which is not true.

This tells us the conscience is fallible.

“But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?

You observe days and months and seasons and years.

I am afraid for you, lest I have labored for you in vain.”

(Galatians 4:9-11)

It takes gradual, progressive and incremental social engineering to bring the masses to a point of blind faith in the government, and, ultimately, to an Orwellian state.

No matter how evil something is, someone could write a speech which makes it sound quite okay.

In leaving its citizens behind, the US Government is showing the same callousness it shows toward the unborn who are murdered in the womb.

Wouldn’t we want our faith to be as real as the Lord is?

Jesus came on the scene and announced, to a stunned audience, that God was His Father.

And then He said that if we believe on God’s Son we can also call God, our Father.

When God made mankind in His image He was taking on the role of Fatherhood.

He was already the Father to the Son from eternity.

Now, He was Father to creatures which He made, but special creatures because they bear the image of God, so He could call them His children.

And, then, the Son even came down from Heaven and became a Man.

So, God the Son became one of us, yet still remaining God.

He could become one of us because we bear the image of God.

Now, we are not to think of ourselves as children of the Father merely because we are creations of God.

This is because our sin cut us off from God.

But Jesus, the Son, reconciled us to the Father by suffering, shedding His blood, dying and rising again.

So, now we who believe are true children of the Father by virtue of being in the Son.

We are now sons if we are in the Son.

The love of the Father is the love of a true Father.

Morality is not a dirty word.

Ask, ‘Hey! What does God have to say about that in His word?”

“By grace you are saved, through faith in Jesus Christ.”

This means, if you are saved it’s because Jesus Christ saved you.

Believing is sufficient because Jesus Christ is sufficient.

That is, if we truly believe He is sufficient to save us. For only then do we truly believe.

“You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!” (James 2:19)

James is addressing superficial belief.

James is not suggesting that demons have true faith.

Whereas when the Lord Jesus promised that those who believe in Him have eternal life, He obviously meant TRUE FAITH, and not superficial believism.

True faith always produces a holy life.

Truly believing, as in the sense that the Lord Jesus used the word “believe”, such as, “whoever believes on me has eternal life”… in this sense, believing precedes doing the will of the Father. A person has no chance to do the will of the Father unless they first believe.

Believing is the CAUSE.

Doing God’s will is the EFFECT.

Cause and effect.

Refer to Romans 4.
