In Christ, God imputes His perfect righteousness to us, and, on this basis, and with this knowledge, that God counts us as perfectly righteous in His sight because of Christ, we are to do what is right, good and pleasing in His sight.

Salvation was and is entirely God’s idea and plan.

It did not originate with man, even though man has made his own futile schemes to try and attain salvation.

What do you think?

God has offered salvation to YOU, in Jesus Christ, His Son, so you would be wise to accept the offer.

The devil can energize people to pursue their dreams, but, in the end, leave them washed up when they realize it was just a dream they were chasing.

Was wondering this morning if Wuhan is making any new viruses, then later saw a news report that it is.

We believe Jesus Christ, therefore we’re full of hope.

“…And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.” (Rev. 21:21b)

Kind of symbolically significant that gold is finally under our feet.

And, if, while walking down this golden street, you happen to see your reflection, will you recognize yourself?

Because you’re going to be a glorious person, who looks something like the glorious Son of God, Jesus Christ.

“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” (1 John 3:2)

Today, if you’ve beheld the LORD on His Throne and worshipped Him, think of His rightful claim on your life.

Everything which exists had to be conceptualized, designed and engineered.

There also had to be a reason and purpose for it to be created.

Have a look around you.

In these last days, spiritual survival is more important than physical survival.

One of the great paradoxes of life is that a person can be highly intelligent, and yet lose their own soul. Or, achieve great things, and yet lose their own soul. Or, amass wealth and popularity, and yet lose their own soul. According to Jesus.

If you are a servant of God, what does that relationship look like?

And if you’re not a servant of God, why aren’t you?

Trust Him, because He loves you.

Love Him, because He loves you.

Obey Him, because He loves you.

Huge asteroids frequently whiz by our planet. So many near misses. Of course, it could never happen, right!? Maybe God deflects them? What if God decides not to deflect one?

Bible prophecy is indeed a “doomsday” message for those who don’t follow the only Lord and Savior there is, Jesus Christ, for they are indeed doomed unless they repent.

Don’t let another sinner cause you to sin.

We always pray according to the purpose of our life. If our purpose is the Kingdom of God, then we pray accordingly. Or, if our purpose is our own kingdom and glory, then we pray accordingly.

So, we just need to know what the purpose of our life really should be, and pray and act accordingly.

The reason and purpose we are here on earth should define our approach to prayer.

What we do with our time constitutes our life… …and it’s over in no time.

Teaching: explain and apply scripture.

No need, necessarily, to refer to theological paradigms or vocabulary which didn’t exist when the scriptures were written.

They have to see it in the word of God. If they are taught by God, they will.

Even the one who has the outward appearance of being the most saintly person on earth has repeatedly broken God’s moral law: both in the letter of the law, and in the spirit and intent of the law: that we should love God with all our heart, and our neighbor as ourself. And therefore they will be judged by the law, unless they have fled to Christ for refuge, and He is their Advocate and Savior.

This pandemic has demonstrated that the fear of death is still a dominant trait in the human psyche, and governments can cash in on it, as religions have done in the past.

We pray daily, “…Thy will be done!”

That’s pretty exciting, to see Him work His will.

“Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.” (1 Peter 4:19)

God’s faithfulness is never in question.

Can you commit your soul to the One who created you, knowing He loves you as only your Creator can?

Our identity should be in Christ: dead to sin, and risen with Him (Rom. 6:1-8) so, therefore, is it valid to have two identities: one, in Christ, as well as keeping your own separate identity?

Identity is who you are, and who you are defines everything else in your life.

The love of God is a good meditation, and an endless one.

No true Christian has to tolerate being oppressed by evil spirits.

Language has become much cruder over the course of this generation. Fifty years ago cussing and expletives were quite different to now. The quest was to become as vulgar and offensive as possible. You want others to identify with you in your sin, a kind of perverse fellowship.

But surely it must plateau off at some point, when all the vulgar words are so common that no one thinks them vulgar anymore, and it gets harder to offend anyone, and this futile quest begins to be seen as the idiotic exercise it is.
