If we are believers we need to be sure we are disciples.
…..
People will be asking the question, What is the true meaning of Christmas?
Then ask, Who is Jesus Christ?
Then you’ll get the true meaning of Christmas.
……
Who decides what is morally right or wrong?
Who decides what your moral standards “should” be?
Who decides whether your beliefs about God are allowed or not allowed?
Who decides what is offensive and what’s not offensive?
Who decides your human rights?
…..
Will we let Jesus rule our lives?
Or, by default be ruled by the devil?
…..
The Bible is the only book which tells an honest person where they stand with God, but a dishonest person can’t accept the truth about themselves.
……
How long I live is not such a big deal for me because I’m going to live forever anyway.
……
For the eternity that God has existed He’s never worried about anything.
…..
The Christian life is this:
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”
(Colossians 3:1-4)
How does this truth translate into how we live our days?
If we seek and set our minds on the things which are above, how does this effect how we use our mind as we live our daily lives? How does it effect how we relate to others?
……
The ultimate is to do the will of God in this life He’s given us: That Jesus Christ can say to us at the Judgment, ‘Well done! Good and faithful servant.’
…..
Considering Jesus rose from the dead, wouldn’t you be inclined to believe Him?
……
The Holy Spirit inside us is perpetually connected with the Throne of God in Heaven because He is God: the same one and only God.
Thus, it’s only natural that such a person will perpetually look to the Throne of God, and the Lamb because this is what the Holy Spirit inside them is doing.
……
How much input and influence does God have on your thought life and on the subject matter of your thoughts and contemplation?
……
If we realize that we should love God then we should realize it’s because He loves us that we should love Him.
“We love Him because He first loved us.”
……
Being born into a Christian family doesn’t make you a Christian. You must be born again, Jesus said.
…..
The child in the womb needs to be protected, even from its own mother if necessary.
……
Wars will not end until Jesus Christ returns, the Bible teaches.
Why? Because war is in the nature of every person. There has barely been a time in human history when there’s not been war.
……
In the Bible, the love and goodness of God never contradict the fierce wrath of God.
Only false prophets teach that it does.
……
When you see evil in the world, that, alone, is proof that God exists, because, if God were not real how would you know that evil is evil? There would be no absolute good or evil if God did not exist.
……
“Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Gal. 5:16)
This is cause and effect.
If we fulfill the lust of the flesh it’s because we’re not walking in the Spirit.
Walking in the Spirit is to be led by and obedient to the Spirit, and this gives us power over the lust of the flesh.
So, just trying to fight the lust of the flesh does not work. But, if we’re doing what the Spirit calls us to do then we are not interested in the lust of the flesh: we have a higher interest.
……
In Kingdom work you can never find yourself unemployed.
……
What does it mean if we don’t acknowledge the things the Father did for us today?
Does it mean we’re ungrateful children?
……
It’s either live with God, or live without God.
……
When we talk to God do we know whom we’re talking to?
…..
The highest and purest love is to desire that people be reconciled to God.
……
Imagine if Jesus had said,
‘Believe in me and you can go to Heaven AND… you don’t need to repent!’ ?
Perhaps the whole world would have become “Christian” by now, following this cool, liberal “Jesus”?
Consider:
“Whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.”
“Whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”
(Luke 14:27, 33)
…….
Being in Christ’s Kingdom means you have a part to play in its extension. This is the nature of it, that each member of it has a stewardship to fulfill, as kings and priests unto God.
…..
The greatest thing you can do today is speak to God.
……
Sometimes we identify with rebels and outsiders because true Christianity is the ultimate rebellion against the world system.
……
Ancient cultures might appear to have some kind of romantic idealistic charm, but the hard reality was there was no freedom. If you didn’t conform to the religion you were either ostracized or killed. As it is even today in some nations.
And the one world religion which is forming now will be no different.
See Revelation chapter 13.
……
Today, this very day, what is your purpose?
And will the purpose of this day be fulfilled today, itself?
…..
Either the Holy Spirit is in a person or He is not.
If He is, then God’s presence is there in them all the time.
But what if some people don’t believe this?
What if they think they need to sing a lot of emotional repetitive songs to get God’s presence?
