True prayer is to come before God.

It’s such an incredible thing.

Prayer was God’s idea. It is His way of working.

Make prayer the most important part of your life.

If hearing the good news of Jesus makes you angry, that’s proof you have a sin nature, and proof you need Him to save you.

In the LORD’s Supper, eating a meal becomes an act of worship.

“The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.” (Rev. 17:8)

“And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.” (Rev. 13:3)

“…Was, and is not, and yet is”, means a man is killed, and seen to be dead, and then comes back to life. And the world will stand amazed and attach divine significance to it, for only God can raise the dead.

Note that for the whole world to witness this event it requires global electronic communication. In previous times it could not have been fulfilled.

And this person will be a public figure, known to the whole world. It could be an attempted assassination of a world leader.

Watch out for this, because it will happen sooner or later.

The last world leader will be the Antichrist, who will rule over a coalition of ten nations.

He will be the full embodiment of fallen humanity.

Hence his number, 666, which means the “ultimate man”, or the embodiment of fallen man, full of self righteousness, pride and arrogance.

Six is the number of man, and 666 means a kind of superman.

The world will love him because he mixes spirituality with immorality.

This is the religion the world wants. One where you can sleep with whoever or whatever you want, or just fantasize about it, and still be spiritual.

“And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thess. 2:11-12)

When a Christian acts as if the truth is not important, then it follows that they also don’t care whether they believe things which aren’t true.

If we don’t care about someone’s soul, we don’t love them.

The word of God is the reference point for life. It’s how we understand our life.

Many leaders, whether political or religious, couldn’t sit down to an open Q & A session because they know they might incriminate themselves by their answers or non-answers/evasion.

“But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.”

(Hebrews 10:12)

Jesus became the sacrifice.

He was willing to be sacrificed to pay for our sins.

He’s done that.

Will you believe it?

“The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.” (John 7:7)

If Jesus says something is evil, then it’s evil.

Serving God has vastly greater reward than serving oneself.

According to Jesus’ teaching, hate can never be justified.

When we encounter evil we see a reflection of our own evil.

Sinners have no justification to hate fellow sinners.

But the redeemed must hate the sins Christ died for and redeemed them from.

“And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him (Gideon) and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!” (Judges 6:12)

Are we mighty men of valor?

Or something less?

That people believe things; the belief, itself, doesn’t make it true. If something is true, it is true because it is true, not because you believe it to be true.

Every person who’s ever existed (except Jesus) has had a problem with God’s authority over them.

Any soul not anchored to the absolute truth of Gods word is like a ship adrift on the storm, and it’s only a matter of time before they are smashed on the rocks. They have no anchor for their soul. They can be swept away.

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil…” (Heb. 6:19)

Is this world giving you everything you want it to give you?

Or do you feel there’s something more – something this world can’t give you?

To be saved and to follow Jesus will not mean following the religion, but it will mean obeying His word.

Losing your soul is far more dangerous than losing your life.

The spiritual war is far more deadly than the war with guns.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” (1 Peter 5:8-9)

The greatest worker is God. He is the greatest worker in every way. His work is perfect. He feeds the whole world. He works in the lives of billions of people. He never takes a day off.

Small gatherings without a “pastor” or an organization: How do they work? Because each person has an understanding of the purpose of gathering together in Jesus name, to build one another up in the faith, and, is committed to that in their life. They are no longer just the “audience”, nor are they followers of any leader.

But pastors are mentioned in the Bible!

Yes, but never as one man leading a church.

Always as a group of equal men shepherding and caring for a group of believers.

And never leading the service.

See 1 Corinthians 14.

Why would a Christian have beliefs or spiritual practices which aren’t even mentioned in the Bible?

The answer has to be that they’ve put their faith in man, or at the least, trust partly in God, and partly in man.

Amongst house church people we must never tolerate a spirit which looks down on traditional church people or considers one type of Christian superior to another.

Of course, if you clearly teach what the New Testament teaches then some will falsely accuse you of thinking you’re superior. We have to live with that.

False accusers rarely have the courage to meet you in real life, face to face.

Where people have been victims of racism in the past, it doesn’t help their case to keep on making skin color an issue – it perpetuates racism.

Only when you stop seeking happiness will you be truly happy in Christ.

We truly help people if we help them become dependent on Jesus Christ, and not dependent on us.

Generally, false spirituality among Christians is where they use the Bible, or man’s teachings, or church services as an escape from reality.

The Lord’s Prayer is a condensed list of the most important things in life we need to attend to.

Becoming a superficial Christian is a real danger.

Looking at Christendom today, one would think so.

Why are mystical or esoteric teachings more appealing than the plain and simple teachings of Jesus Christ?

Because they appeal to human pride.

You overcome any personal enemies by loving them.

“Overcome evil with good”, the Bible says.

Do good to your enemies, Jesus said.

Jesus encourages us by strengthening our faith in Him.

Any concept of the love of God which causes you to dispense with the wrath of God is a false concept.
