Any hint of self importance and we’ve lost it.
…..
Maybe you don’t know where to begin when you want to share the Gospel with someone?
Begin and end with Jesus Christ.
…..
What if we were to see selfies as a cry for help, a cry for love?
…..
Jesus Christ is all of these:
The greatest.
The most loved.
The most hated.
The most misunderstood.
The most misrepresented.
…..
At fellowship yesterday a brother said, ‘I love fellowship so much because this is the only place where people are interested to discuss the things of God’.
…..
“…Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
“But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.”
(Galatians 5:16,18)
If we are fulfilling the lust of the flesh we are breaking the moral law.
If we walk in the Spirit we are not breaking the moral law, and yet we are also not “keeping” the law as one “under the law”.
We are not under the law, and yet we shouldn’t break the moral law and be lawless.
“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law. (Romans 3:28-31)
“But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not!
For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.”
(Galatians 2:17-18)
…..
Things only become a distraction for us if we enjoy them more than we enjoy God.
…..
“Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.” (1 Chron. 21:1)
We don’t think for one minute that David knew or perceived that it was Satan who was moving him to number Israel.
So, if the great King and Psalmist could be moved by Satan to disobey God, and not know he was being used by the devil, then who are we to think we are immune?
And, the sin in numbering how many soldiers they had was in the fact that the size of their army was irrelevant to their success, because it was God who fought for them, so, in numbering, David was expressing disbelief in God’s power.
The cunning of Satan is he can get people to do things and they don’t know it is him.
If people knew it was Satan who was moving them would they obey him?
…..
The term “lawless” is frequently used in the New Testament.
However, some people mistakenly think it means to not keep the Sabbath, etc…
It doesn’t refer to not keeping the Old Testament ritualistic law, it refers to not keeping the moral law.
Today, the “lawless” person is the sexually immoral, the idolater, liar, etc..
Not the person who doesn’t observe Jewish laws.
The Antichrist is called the “lawless one”.
Your typical Liberal Progressive Christian is a lawless person.
All sin is lawlessness.
No one is without sin.
However, the people who are proud of their sin and openly flaunt it, and promote it as something good are the lawless ones.
…..
You shouldn’t laugh at the physically or mentally handicapped, and neither should you laugh at the morally handicapped.
…..
If life were purely a physical phenomena then you would expect it would be possible to recreate it in a lab, replicating the process by which life supposedly formed or created itself in the first place, or, at the least, prevent things from dying?
……
Whatever you understand about the concept of respect, apply it to God, first.
…..
If the LORD is your help, consider yourself ‘helped’.
…..
Regarding Conservative leaders or influencers who are not Christians, and there’s many of them, such as Musk, Trump, Shapiro, Peterson, Rogan, Gabbard, Prager, Tawhidi, Ngo, Beck, Fox, Oliver, etc. ….
Some might come to the Lord later.
Others might be part of “mystery Babylon” or the “mystery of iniquiry”.
The Antichrist might also appeal to Conservatives, and have something for everyone.
“Mystery” here can mean something hidden so that the spiritually blind can’t see or understand it.
“Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.” (Daniel 12:10)
…..
Excited over Musk?
From a Christian point of view I think we should just be thankful for small mercies.
Conservative policies are better than other kinds of policy in terms of freedom and human rights.
For me, this is how I understand the relation between Christianity and the political world.
For example, in prewar Germany, any other candidate would have been better than Hitler.
And mature Christians hopefully never see political leaders as saviors.
So, we don’t think Musk is going to save us from the NWO, or Trump will save us.
It’s just that we would rather have them than Hitler.
…. and God appoints governments.
And God also notes if His people support evil policies.
Or, support evil by default, by doing nothing about it.
…..
I’m only excited about what God is doing.
…..
Imagine the terror when a person arrives in Hell and realizes they will live there forever?
…..
Imagine God accepting you as if you had never sinned? Well, that’s the Gospel.
…..
The Gospel assumes that those with a conscience will receive it as very good news indeed.
…..
Many people give mental assent to the Bible, but they’re kind of shell-shocked when you apply its truths to real life.
…..
Jesus is the greatest Man who ever lived. No one has had a greater impact upon humanity than this Man.
And yet it’s not cool to believe what He said or even mention His name, unless it is as an expletive.
It’s enough to make you believe the devil is real, eh?
And maybe you should question who decides what is cool?
…..
I guess the ultimate expression or example of tolerance and true free speech is where people blaspheme the holy name of Jesus Christ and they are not hated by Christians?
…..
When will the use of the name Jesus Christ as an expletive be deemed illegal hate speech because it is deeply offensive to Christians?
…..
When you see a video from India or Africa of an evangelist healing the sick in Jesus name, what is your reaction? If you don’t know exactly what is going on, better to reserve judgment.
We can observe some things, though.
- Jesus and the Apostles didn’t hold healing revival meetings, where they needed to hype people up and manipulate their emotions. They didn’t need to create a show or invite the anointing to come, or even wait for the anointing to come. They healed people anywhere and at anytime.
- God sometimes gets peoples attention through miracles. Sometimes there are true conversions when people are confronted by the supernatural power of God. And, yet, also, there are countless false conversions by this means as well.
- Then, our rejoicing in such healings is tempered if we see the evangelist is in love with himself and milking money out of people.
- And we even get less enthusiastic when the crowd starts worshipping the man and calling him a prophet or apostle.
Conclusion? Reserve your excitement until you see a total change of life, a new creation in Christ.
It’s foolish in the extreme to assume that all healings are by the devil, because you think Jesus doesn’t heal anymore.
And just as foolish to blindly accept everything done in Jesus name as being from God.
…..
The true meaning of life is only in relation to the Life-giver.
…..
All the people who ever lived are still living, somewhere, the Bible teaches.
…..
Our work should be in harmony with the work of the Holy Spirit, and so much so that they are the same work.
If God’s grace is guiding and helping you work, then it is His work, actually.
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. (1 Corinthians 15:10)
…..
I trust you know that God has the power to wipe out this planet in an instant?
…..
To those who fancy themselves to have authority over God’s children, have you ever considered that if you did indeed have that authority it would also mean you have responsibility? You would also be responsible for the sins of that church if indeed you claim to have authority over it.
……
X – Are you always thinking about God?
Y – Who told you that you shouldn’t always be thinking about God?
……
“It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Rev. 13:7-8)
He “overcomes” the saints from every nation by taking away their freedom. To function in society they need to take his mark. They won’t do that, so they can no longer function in society. Their life from thereon will be by God’s providential grace alone, totally separate from the financial system. This means that from this point on the saints will be cut off from communicating with one another by phone or internet. They won’t be able to chat again until they are all reunited in the sky, taken up to meet the LORD in the air.
So, be ready for these things. It’s recorded for us so we’ll be ready.
…..
(Ephesians 6:10-19)
We might have overlooked verse 18 as part of God’s way of protecting us:
“…praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints…”
Persevering in prayer for the brothers and sisters you know.
That means not quitting.
And it is part of the armor.
So, in us protecting others, or covering them in prayer, God makes sure we are protected.
God’s armor is God’s protection.
We wouldn’t survive without it.
…..
Are we happiest when we are talking with our Father?
…..
The greatest burden is the burden of carrying the weight of your own sins.
Jesus said, He who the Son sets free is free indeed!
…..
What’s Heaven like?
If you’re going to be living there for billions of years, you might be interested to know something about it?
……
Everything other than the Kingdom of God is vanity and chasing the wind.
…..
By repenting of sin a person is not earning their salvation, and yet without repentance they won’t be saved.
…..
How to “be the church”.
- Live near like minded brethren. If necessary, move closer to them.
- Gather in each others homes on certain evenings to pray and study the word.
- At least once a week all gather to have the Lord’s Table. The first day of the week is usually the most suitable day.
- Really be committed to these folks, upholding them every day in prayer. Help each other.
- Groups do public evangelism as led by the Spirit.
- Let the meetings be “real”. Address the realities of life.
- At least 2 or 3 men should be co-elders. No one elder makes decisions alone, it is by consensus. The elders need to guide but not control. And they are responsible for order and sound teaching to be maintained.
- Care for the others, but don’t be a busybody or a meddler in their private life. Know the boundaries set by God.
- The church should really grasp and obey the order layed out in 1 Cor. 14 for meetings.
- The children should learn to listen in the meetings. Nothing should be so intellectual that it is over their heads.
Etc….
If you can only do some of this, then at least do that, rather than nothing.
And this is far better than being the audience in a traditional church.
…..
The authority of scripture doesn’t just settle the matter of whether or not there is a “Jesus”, it settles the matter of who the REAL Jesus is, defining the difference between Him, and false conceptions of Him.
…..
Spiritual vision hinges on obedience, and obedience hinges on faith and love, and it all hinges on the grace of God.
Everything is by the grace of God, so there’s no basis for pride.
…..
“By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed…” (Rev. 9:18a)
This is coming. No one knows the exact year, but it might be sooner rather than later.

To be alive to God is to really be alive.
