Each new day holds fantastic possibilities in Christ.

The love of Christ is amazing. Families and communities who have this love are like a foretaste of Heaven. Such a contrast to this world.

“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them.” (Rev. 20:4a)

“Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?”

(1 Cor. 6:2-3)

If we look at Revelation 20 we see that the saints will judge the living people at the beginning of the Millennium.

The dead are judged by God after the Millennium.

Death is not the end.

Death doesn’t mean you are “dead”.

“And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened.” (Rev. 20:12a)

If someone’s pride gets in our face, let’s check whether we are free from pride.

God gave you everything, and He gives you every breath you take. So, it’s only fitting to give Him thanks.

“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:22-24)

It shows that God knows us perfectly, and knows, when we make requests to Him, whether we believe or whether we doubt.

He knows us better than we know ourselves.

And this is a fantastic truth if you are His child.

“…In Him we live and move and have our being…”

Acts 17:28a

“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus…”

Hebrews 10:19

Whoever you are, wherever you are, and regardless of whatever you are, Jesus Christ can reach you right this moment if you believe.

How does 1 Corinthians 14 work in a traditional institutional church setting?

Have a look.

Official Catholic dogma states that church tradition is of equal authority to scripture.

So, as God’s word is not man’s word, there can never be an equilibrium here.

So, man’s word supposedly carries more weight than Gods word.

Liberal Progressive Christianity is exactly the same.

Comes from the same root.

It’s a true observation that if one thinks they are intrinsically good then they deny the grace of God and deny the Blood of Jesus.

Of course, Universal Reconciliation, which Liberals hold to, believes the sacrifice of Christ has already saved everyone, and therefore repentance and faith is not necessary, more like an added bonus.

Everyone must be thinking. That is, thinking something. It’s hard to imagine people as being vegetables, a vacant space. The question is whether what we’re thinking about is resulting in a transformed and productive life?

Not having time to pray is always a question of God having a low priority on our list of priorities.

The same goes for not having time to think.

The outcome of both is disastrous.

When we pray we are most alive. To pray is to really live.

If we forget God, how would we like it if He forgot us?

The love of Christ is uniquely His love, an entirely different kind of love.

It’s only natural to want people to like you, but not to the extent that you’re afraid to tell them the truth.

So, the world’s best male swimmer can also become the world’s best female swimmer if he wants to identify as a female?

Does anyone consider that socialist policies of western governments inevitably end up in financial collapse, and then massive inflation, food shortages, and then the “poor”, who were supposed to have been the beneficiaries, are hit the hardest?

If there is no money tree, then this is inevitable.

“What about all these millions of people, what will God do with them??”

Okay, let’s start with you.

Where will you stand on Judgment Day?

The spiritual realm is a parallel universe to the one you can see with your eyes.

Just quote one verse where Jesus promised you will get rich if you follow Him?

If your pastor preaches this, challenge him publicly.

Of course, the security guards might throw you out.

And if your pastor preaches this he is not a pastor, but an impostor.

Dishonor and shame only comes to Christians if they fail to honor the LORD.

Look at Old Testament Israel.

They forsook God and went after idols.

So, in idols, they found a way to avoid God and yet still feel religious.

They didn’t forsake religion, they forsook God.

Religion replaced God.

We can take nothing of this world with us when we leave this planet, but we can take with us all that we possess now in Christ, our eternal inheritance.

Name any person or institution of society which does not seek to influence the thinking of others in some way or form?

Even if it’s as simple as posting your photo: aren’t you trying to influence the way people think about you, or influence them to take notice of you?

Human nature.

I’m not saying it’s always a bad thing, but people shouldn’t deny that that’s what they’re about.

So figure out exactly WHAT it is that people, or government, or the media, the arts, writers, journalists, thinkers, ideologies, religions or sects, are trying to influence you on.

In which direction are they trying to steer your thoughts?

The natural inclination to avoid God is part of the fall we have inherited and a sign of our natural state, from which we need Christ to deliver us.

You would have a very difficult time trying to explain to the original Apostles about a lot of the stuff that’s going on in Christianity today.

When we ask for God’s mercy for someone it’s because we are someone who has received His mercy, so therefore we understand it’s their only hope.

One definition of a local church is a few families coming together to help one another.

Issues don’t really divide Christians, but, more to the truth of it, reveal what kind of Christians we are.

Do not reject the message of the Gospel on account of the flaws of the messenger. That would be stupid.

How would you stand on Judgment Day without the Blood of Jesus?

What if your sins were not washed away by His precious Blood, where would you stand?

The most important issue of your life is your salvation.

The rest is as important as arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic in comparison.

“…How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?…” (Hebrews 2:3a)

Do we comprehend how much our salvation cost God?

All the truth about Jesus Christ is called the GOOD NEWS.

The love of Christ is such that when good things happen to your brothers and sisters it’s the same as if it were happening to you, and when bad things happen to them it’s also the same as if it happened to you.

A Christian can believe that God sovereignly put the government into power, and can also be opposed to the policies of that government.

What is faith for?

Who created the concept of faith?

They arrest Christians for preaching on the streets on the grounds that it is offensive to people of other religions.

But then, to be fair, you would have to arrest all who put on a public display which is offensive to Christians?

“Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

(Philippians 4:11-13)

See verse 13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – The immediate context indicates he means he can do what Christ called him to do regardless of whether others support him, because Christ strengthens him, so that even in need, he is really not in need – his life and ministry never stands or falls upon human support, but is sustained directly by Jesus Christ the Lord.

He can do all things which Christ has called him to do through Christ’s strength: the supply comes with the call.

Now, even though the particular context here is clear, this does not exempt verse 13 from applying to everything Christ calls a disciple to do.

We don’t want to get too clever with our “context, context” thing. Statements can have a much broader application than the immediate context, and often do.

And yet it’s a mistake to think it means we can do anything we can imagine to do, like, ‘I can climb Mount Everest through Christ who strengthens me!’.

If it were Christ’s purpose for you to climb it, for His Kingdom, then no doubt you should go ahead and climb it, confident He will supply everything you need to do it. Otherwise, no. You would be on your own there.

History shows many Christians have destroyed their lives by walking presumptuously.

In fact, I think there even was a guy who believed God had shown him to climb Everest, and he died on the mountain.

Whatever is Christ’s purpose for our lives, we can do it through Christ who strengthens us.

The world is okay with spirituality, just so long as it’s not about following Jesus.

A Christian is overjoyed they will live forever.

Grace is all sufficient.

When the grace of God is working in someone’s life it is sufficient.

“…The vilest offender who truly believes,

That moment from Jesus a pardon receives…”

When we approach the Throne of Grace in prayer, do we have much idea, really, of who it is we are approaching, and to whom we are speaking?

Is it only possible for a Christian to be bored if they ignore the Holy Spirit?

“…God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did…” (Romans 4:17b)

Religion cannot give life to the dead.

No one can make themselves alive from the dead.

No one can raise themselves from spiritual death.

Only Jesus Christ can do that.

“Never before has a generation so diligently recorded themselves accomplishing so little.” unquote

Who decides what is right or wrong?

Whomever decides, that’s your moral authority.

What if the moral authority for modern society is the devil?

“Give honor to whom honor is due.”

Do we give the Lord Jesus Christ the honor which is due to Him?

Life has an amazing array of choices, like what we will do with our time, what we will think about, who we will care about, who we will pray for, which issues will be important to us……

What is the greatest expression of love?

Jesus said it.

‘Greater love has no man than this, than to lay down his life for his friends.’

Of course, it applies to our life, daily.

You might have been raised in a Christian family, but you’re not a Christian until you’re born again and a new creation in Christ.

Not believing God’s word is more than simply a matter of being wrong, it’s a matter of being deceived.

The Bible teaches us the real value of things.

Every question about God is answered in Jesus Christ.

Just watching the sunset and thinking, what would Adam have thought when he sat and watched his first sunset? We see the same sunset he saw, and walk with the same Creator.

If someone includes you in their prayers they probably really love you, and they’re the kind of friends we really need.

I’m not interested in politics, however, politics is now about ideology, and I think everyone should be interested in ideology.

What impact is the Holy Spirit having in your life today?

Did the Holy Spirit show you things today, or did you figure it out yourself?

Is it a great joy for you to know the Holy Spirit is in you 24/7?

With every natural resource which is used by man for his benefit and to meet a need, you can bet God knew of that need before He created the resource, which was created before He created man, and that He gave man the skill to identify and exploit the resource. Most probably, the technological rise of man was due to God having already designed the technology, then helping man achieve it. God knew what man would need before He created him.

Do you think it’s merely a coincidence that the natural world supplies mans every need, and that man has learned to exploit it?

The resource predates the need.

But of course, man is supposed to be a good steward of these provisions and not destroy the earth.

Every ethnic group on earth has its share of a shameful, violent history. We all come from the same parents and inherited the same sinful nature.

Often we find people from various ethnicities acting as if their ancestors lived in some golden age of peace, love and harmony.

It’s absurd to believe the Universe created itself out of nothing.

When I look at the extreme complexity and magnitude of the natural world and universe, then it’s easy for me to understand that the Father, who made it all, can take note of every sparrow that falls.

I don’t usually celebrate anything the first century church didn’t celebrate.

I’m okay with that.

Also okay with those who disagree.

So… why??

I think the Apostles knew what they were doing.

“…The effective, FERVENT prayer of a righteous man avails much.” (James 5:16b)

Therefore, if we lose fervency we should immediately pause and seek to regain it. It would be useless to just continue on in prayer without fervency.

Fervency is not evidenced in the outward.

God is not deaf. He doesn’t need anyone to shout. Nor does He need anyone to pray in flowery religious jargon, or contrived emotions.

We should know by the indwelling Spirit in our inner man if there is a SOLID CONNECTION in our heart as we pray.

There must be an inner witness for everything if the Spirit is involved.

Or, whether it’s more mental than birthed by the Spirit.

The exclusive claims of the Gospel are in fact the exclusive claims of Jesus Christ, Himself.

People didn’t think it up for themselves, creating their own religion.

So, if anyone objects to Jesus being the only way to God they should take it up with Him. He said it.

They shouldn’t persecute Christians for simply repeating what Jesus said and taught.

If they hate the message then they must hate Him, because it is His message

People are free to hate Jesus Christ, or dismiss Him as false or of no account.

No true Christians are forcing their faith on anyone or threatening anyone for discrediting Jesus Christ.

It’s not hateful to repeat anything Jesus said.

Unless you believe that what Jesus said is hateful.

Unwanted children is a big issue today.

From God the Father’s point of view, all of His children are very much wanted children.

Even the greatest or most beautiful person is one day going to be rotting away six feet underground.

Take Jesus seriously.

A challenge for evangelists is to clearly articulate and explain what the Bible teaches concerning sin and repentance, yet without coming across as judgmental, unloving or superior.

Is your concept of church attendance based on what you can get out of it, or on what you can contribute?

There’s certain countries where if you announce that you are an Apostle you will get an instant following.

This is due to a lack of critical thinking, where Christians have been obsessed with personalities and chasing spiritual experiences and manifestations attributed to these personalities.

Certainly, such “apostles” never help people develop their critical thinking faculties.

The eternal perspective is the right perspective.

When true disciples of Christ meet anywhere they don’t need to conduct a formal meeting in order to share God’s word, discuss, and pray for one another.

Liberal Christians don’t believe in the authority of Scripture. However, when I ask them to describe a truth concerning Jesus Christ or from Him which is not described in Scripture then they always switch the subject.

Switching the subject can mean they don’t understand what the subject is, or they’re simply being tricky.

I try to get them to understand that if you’re tricky it’s because you’re a fraud.

The Bible defines sin, so we never have to be in doubt about it.

If you have any doubt about the difference between right and wrong, please consult your Bible.

Now is the time to say what you need to say.

Life is very short.

Evil spirits try to keep you from seeking God.

Are they succeeding?

“…in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:22)

A holy people whom God sees collectively as His dwelling place.

When you’re drawing your last breath will you be thinking about religion, or thinking about God?

We can’t overemphasize the need for each person to be saved. If you’re not saved, do you know what will happen to you?

“…All these moments shall be lost in time, like tears in the rain…” (Blade Runner film)

If there were no God, life would be futile. You would die, then cease to exist, lost in time. Eventually, your name would be entirely forgotten, as if you never existed. It would be all gone. Nothing has any transcendent meaning without God. The things you think have meaning would all be gone, forgotten forever, as if they never happened.

Thankfully, Atheism is a myth.

Political propaganda media throws up decoy stories to draw your attention away from the stories they don’t want you to see, which they try to bury.

His wonders are so we will never cease to be in wonder of Him.

Conversation with a cultural Christian:

X – What if someone were to ask you, ‘Are you saved?’, what would be your reply?

Y – I don’t understand the question.

X – Saved, as in, if you died this moment, would you go to Heaven or Hell?

Y – Heaven, I hope.

X – Does this mean you are not absolutely sure whether you would go to Heaven or Hell?

Y – I don’t think anyone can be sure, that’s why we have to have faith.

X – Did Jesus promise eternal life to whoever believes?

Y – Yes.

X – Then, if His promise is true, and you truly believe that promise, then you would have eternal life, right?

Y – But it’s not that simple, we also have to be a good person.

X – But how can you be a good person if you don’t believe what Jesus promised?

Y – Oh, I do believe!

X – But you just admitted you don’t have eternal life, but you’re hoping to be good enough to earn it? This would indicate you don’t believe His promise.

Y – I have been in church all my life and no one has ever explained it to me like this. Thanks so much.

If anyone reads the New Testament honestly they will know whether they’re saved or not, whether they’re going to Heaven or Hell, and whether their way of life is pleasing to God, and what God requires them to do.

They won’t need anyone else to tell them.

Apart from the Kingdom of Christ, what is there?

When parents fail to raise their children in a Godly way they doom the world. A dystopian world is the product of dysfunctional parenting.

If someone was going to write about you: about who you are and what you are like, your beliefs and values, what kind of person you are, and what you’ve done, then, you would want them to give an accurate description. You might be offended if they used their imagination and described a person very different to the person you actually are, and portrayed you in a wrong light.

Now, apply this to God.

“God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high…” (Heb. 1:1-3)

Believing in the Sovereignty of God also means believing He is arranging everything you’ll need to serve Him, and arranging for all the people you should meet, at the specific time and location He appoints – all while you sleep through the night, He is working behind the scenes, preparing your way, and causing the right people to come into contact with you.

One thing that ‘walking in the Light’ means is that you start to see things differently by virtue of the LORD shining His Light on it, so, because it is His Light, you begin to see things as He sees them, whereas, before, you were in the dark, not seeing things as He sees them.

There was a time when ‘filled with the Spirit’ was normal Christianity.

Moral issues ultimately only make sense in relation to Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Otherwise, it’s merely the ever shifting morality of man, which has no authority.

Any hint of self importance and we’ve lost it.

Maybe you don’t know where to begin when you want to share the Gospel with someone?

Begin and end with Jesus Christ.

What if we were to see selfies as a cry for help, a cry for love?

Jesus Christ is all of these:

The greatest.

The most loved.

The most hated.

The most misunderstood.

The most misrepresented.

At fellowship yesterday a brother said, ‘I love fellowship so much because this is the only place where people are interested to discuss the things of God’.

“…Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

“But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.”

(Galatians 5:16,18)

If we are fulfilling the lust of the flesh we are breaking the moral law.

If we walk in the Spirit we are not breaking the moral law, and yet we are also not “keeping” the law as one “under the law”.

We are not under the law, and yet we shouldn’t break the moral law and be lawless.

“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also, since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law. (Romans 3:28-31)

“But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not!

For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.”

(Galatians 2:17-18)

Things only become a distraction for us if we enjoy them more than we enjoy God.

“Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.” (1 Chron. 21:1)

We don’t think for one minute that David knew or perceived that it was Satan who was moving him to number Israel.

So, if the great King and Psalmist could be moved by Satan to disobey God, and not know he was being used by the devil, then who are we to think we are immune?

And, the sin in numbering how many soldiers they had was in the fact that the size of their army was irrelevant to their success, because it was God who fought for them, so, in numbering, David was expressing disbelief in God’s power.

The cunning of Satan is he can get people to do things and they don’t know it is him.

If people knew it was Satan who was moving them would they obey him?

The term “lawless” is frequently used in the New Testament.

However, some people mistakenly think it means to not keep the Sabbath, etc…

It doesn’t refer to not keeping the Old Testament ritualistic law, it refers to not keeping the moral law.

Today, the “lawless” person is the sexually immoral, the idolater, liar, etc..

Not the person who doesn’t observe Jewish laws.

The Antichrist is called the “lawless one”.

Your typical Liberal Progressive Christian is a lawless person.

All sin is lawlessness.

No one is without sin.

However, the people who are proud of their sin and openly flaunt it, and promote it as something good are the lawless ones.

You shouldn’t laugh at the physically or mentally handicapped, and neither should you laugh at the morally handicapped.

If life were purely a physical phenomena then you would expect it would be possible to recreate it in a lab, replicating the process by which life supposedly formed or created itself in the first place, or, at the least, prevent things from dying?

Whatever you understand about the concept of respect, apply it to God, first.

If the LORD is your help, consider yourself ‘helped’.

Regarding Conservative leaders or influencers who are not Christians, and there’s many of them, such as Musk, Trump, Shapiro, Peterson, Rogan, Gabbard, Prager, Tawhidi, Ngo, Beck, Fox, Oliver, etc. ….

Some might come to the Lord later.

Others might be part of “mystery Babylon” or the “mystery of iniquiry”.

The Antichrist might also appeal to Conservatives, and have something for everyone.

“Mystery” here can mean something hidden so that the spiritually blind can’t see or understand it.

“Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.” (Daniel 12:10)

Excited over Musk?

From a Christian point of view I think we should just be thankful for small mercies.

Conservative policies are better than other kinds of policy in terms of freedom and human rights.

For me, this is how I understand the relation between Christianity and the political world.

For example, in prewar Germany, any other candidate would have been better than Hitler.

And mature Christians hopefully never see political leaders as saviors.

So, we don’t think Musk is going to save us from the NWO, or Trump will save us.

It’s just that we would rather have them than Hitler.

…. and God appoints governments.

And God also notes if His people support evil policies.

Or, support evil by default, by doing nothing about it.

I’m only excited about what God is doing.

Imagine the terror when a person arrives in Hell and realizes they will live there forever?

Imagine God accepting you as if you had never sinned? Well, that’s the Gospel.

The Gospel assumes that those with a conscience will receive it as very good news indeed.

Many people give mental assent to the Bible, but they’re kind of shell-shocked when you apply its truths to real life.

Jesus is the greatest Man who ever lived. No one has had a greater impact upon humanity than this Man.

And yet it’s not cool to believe what He said or even mention His name, unless it is as an expletive.

It’s enough to make you believe the devil is real, eh?

And maybe you should question who decides what is cool?

I guess the ultimate expression or example of tolerance and true free speech is where people blaspheme the holy name of Jesus Christ and they are not hated by Christians?

When will the use of the name Jesus Christ as an expletive be deemed illegal hate speech because it is deeply offensive to Christians?

When you see a video from India or Africa of an evangelist healing the sick in Jesus name, what is your reaction? If you don’t know exactly what is going on, better to reserve judgment.

We can observe some things, though.

  • Jesus and the Apostles didn’t hold healing revival meetings, where they needed to hype people up and manipulate their emotions. They didn’t need to create a show or invite the anointing to come, or even wait for the anointing to come. They healed people anywhere and at anytime.
  • God sometimes gets peoples attention through miracles. Sometimes there are true conversions when people are confronted by the supernatural power of God. And, yet, also, there are countless false conversions by this means as well.
  • Then, our rejoicing in such healings is tempered if we see the evangelist is in love with himself and milking money out of people.
  • And we even get less enthusiastic when the crowd starts worshipping the man and calling him a prophet or apostle.

Conclusion? Reserve your excitement until you see a total change of life, a new creation in Christ.

It’s foolish in the extreme to assume that all healings are by the devil, because you think Jesus doesn’t heal anymore.

And just as foolish to blindly accept everything done in Jesus name as being from God.

The true meaning of life is only in relation to the Life-giver.

All the people who ever lived are still living, somewhere, the Bible teaches.

Our work should be in harmony with the work of the Holy Spirit, and so much so that they are the same work.

If God’s grace is guiding and helping you work, then it is His work, actually.

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. (1 Corinthians 15:10)

I trust you know that God has the power to wipe out this planet in an instant?

To those who fancy themselves to have authority over God’s children, have you ever considered that if you did indeed have that authority it would also mean you have responsibility? You would also be responsible for the sins of that church if indeed you claim to have authority over it.

X – Are you always thinking about God?

Y – Who told you that you shouldn’t always be thinking about God?

“It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Rev. 13:7-8)

He “overcomes” the saints from every nation by taking away their freedom. To function in society they need to take his mark. They won’t do that, so they can no longer function in society. Their life from thereon will be by God’s providential grace alone, totally separate from the financial system. This means that from this point on the saints will be cut off from communicating with one another by phone or internet. They won’t be able to chat again until they are all reunited in the sky, taken up to meet the LORD in the air.

So, be ready for these things. It’s recorded for us so we’ll be ready.

(Ephesians 6:10-19)

We might have overlooked verse 18 as part of God’s way of protecting us:

“…praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints…”

Persevering in prayer for the brothers and sisters you know.

That means not quitting.

And it is part of the armor.

So, in us protecting others, or covering them in prayer, God makes sure we are protected.

God’s armor is God’s protection.

We wouldn’t survive without it.

Are we happiest when we are talking with our Father?

The greatest burden is the burden of carrying the weight of your own sins.

Jesus said, He who the Son sets free is free indeed!

What’s Heaven like?

If you’re going to be living there for billions of years, you might be interested to know something about it?

Everything other than the Kingdom of God is vanity and chasing the wind.

By repenting of sin a person is not earning their salvation, and yet without repentance they won’t be saved.

How to “be the church”.

  • Live near like minded brethren. If necessary, move closer to them.
  • Gather in each others homes on certain evenings to pray and study the word.
  • At least once a week all gather to have the Lord’s Table. The first day of the week is usually the most suitable day.
  • Really be committed to these folks, upholding them every day in prayer. Help each other.
  • Groups do public evangelism as led by the Spirit.
  • Let the meetings be “real”. Address the realities of life.
  • At least 2 or 3 men should be co-elders. No one elder makes decisions alone, it is by consensus. The elders need to guide but not control. And they are responsible for order and sound teaching to be maintained.
  • Care for the others, but don’t be a busybody or a meddler in their private life. Know the boundaries set by God.
  • The church should really grasp and obey the order layed out in 1 Cor. 14 for meetings.
  • The children should learn to listen in the meetings. Nothing should be so intellectual that it is over their heads.

If you can only do some of this, then at least do that, rather than nothing.

And this is far better than being the audience in a traditional church.

The authority of scripture doesn’t just settle the matter of whether or not there is a “Jesus”, it settles the matter of who the REAL Jesus is, defining the difference between Him, and false conceptions of Him.

Spiritual vision hinges on obedience, and obedience hinges on faith and love, and it all hinges on the grace of God.

Everything is by the grace of God, so there’s no basis for pride.

“By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed…” (Rev. 9:18a)

This is coming. No one knows the exact year, but it might be sooner rather than later.

To be alive to God is to really be alive.

Jesus has the same mesa
