“Church”, which is a gathering of people, not a building or organization, only goes as deep as the genuine friendships between the bros and sisters.
First, it is friendship with God, then with each other. We become a friend of God, and He helps us to have deep and lasting and blessed friendships with His people.
Without that real friendship, without genuine real life relationship, it’s not a church, it’s only a shell.
…..
Bottomline acid test for “having church”:
Is the way we “do church” conducive to becoming more conformed to Christ, and ever increasing in faith, and knowing Him more and more, and beconing increasingly fruitful in His Kingdom?
…..
If someone doesn’t know God then the devil can make them believe whatever he wants them to believe.
“We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19)
…..
“…we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.” (2 Cor. 5:16)
This means that Jesus Christ cannot be known through the physical senses.
God, obviously, can reveal Himself to the physical senses, but He chooses not to.
If Jesus spoke to you by an audible voice, then how would you learn to hear the voice of the Spirit in your inner man?
Your ears would always be listening out, but would your heart be listening moment by moment?
God communicates by His Spirit to our spirit: Spirit to spirit.
Understanding the word of God is purely by His Spirit.
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Cor. 2:12-16)

There’s no religion in Heaven.

“…Jesus Christ,
the faithful witness,
the firstborn from the dead,
and…
the ruler over the kings of the earth.
To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood…”
(Revelation 1:5)
…..
Our life doesn’t come from this world, it comes from Heaven.
…..
If you know the Holy Spirit is in you, do you believe He can help you do things?
…..
In a free society you are free not to believe the government.
The Bible says respect government, it doesn’t say to necessarily believe them.
…..
Everything which exists only exists because God made it for man. But there’s more, it doesn’t end there. There’s a reason why God made this universe for man.
…..
We should at least love someone enough to pray for them. If we don’t have enough love to pray for them, then what kind of love is that?
…..
In my first few years as a Christian I used to read the Bible and was blessed with a faith to believe every word, but I still had a weakness that, somehow, truth seemed to carry more authority if it came from the lips of a famous person. If a famous preacher said it, it seemed to carry more weight than reading the same thing in the Bible. I guess it’s human frailty. Now I only care for what is written in scripture. As long as people teach what is written in scripture I’m happy, but a truth doesn’t carry more weight just because someone famous teaches it, and nor does it lose power if a nobody teaches it.
……
The whole point of imputed righteousness is to produce practical righteousness.
Only the man to whom God does not impute sin can be free from its power.
“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin.” (Rom. 4:7-8)
When God forgives us, in Christ, He also empowers us.
What good would it be to be forgiven, but still a slave to sin, and still repeating the sins which He forgave?
…..
“…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38)
So, most of the miraculous things concerned the healing of those oppressed by the devil.
We take it, then, that today there are still a lot of people oppressed by the devil, and Jesus is still able to heal them.

It’s worse than stupid to think that oil can be shut off just like that and everyone switch to electric cars overnight. Economic woes due to stupid policy.

The greatest question of life is, Does my life glorify Jesus Christ?
…..
Every day in my news feed I’m getting bombarded with “information” about UFOs.
Are the people who do this free moral agents, or are they brainwashed?
These things are not coincidental or meaningless.
There is a puppet master, and you can call him by a bunch of names.
…..
“For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (3 John 1:3-4)
The “truth that is in you”.
“Walk in the truth”.
Walk means to live.
These believers lived in the truth.
The truth was in them, so their whole life was an expression of that truth which was in them.
It’s where “theology” merges with REAL LIFE.
And, John has no greater joy than this, and he’s only a man.
Think of the joy the Father and the Lamb have when they see their children live in the truth?
The joy of these children of God is to express the reality of their Father in the way they live.
……
Jan 6 was a very misguided kind of protest by people who believed the election was stolen.
To overthrow the US government you would first need to have some weapons, I would presume.
Maybe you could try it to see if it works? Stand outside the White House and announce you are having an insurrection and are over throwing the government? But be careful, insurrections are not safe.
Charge them with trespassing and damaging property.
But this is political theater.

Trump never said to go into the Capitol.
That was Ray Epps.
So, was Epps working for Trump or the Feds?
It seems he needs to take the stand and explain who instigated him, or whether anyone instigated him.
But he hasn’t even been charged with anything yet.
Who knows, but it is very fishy.

The regime can offer comfort to the comrades by assuring them there is no such thing as voter fraud. The comrades can be assured of this because experts have decided this is the case.

You need Jesus because religious beliefs or practices can’t give you eternal life. Only He can.
……
How do you know you are praying in faith?
Because God is answering your prayers.
It’s a process of learning.
…..
Prayer is taking care of God’s business, that is, as far as He expects us to take care of our responsibility. It is an appointed participation with Him in His business.
……
The greatest thing we can pray for another or ourselves is that we come to know the Lord Jesus Christ better and walk closer with Him.

When people say ‘Jesus reigns!’ we can say, “Amen!
Only don’t think that ‘Jesus reigns’ means the Book of Revelation won’t happen”.
…..
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matt. 6:33)
Who is going to add these things to you?
Your Father, who truly loves you, His child.
……
For billions of people, life is about survival, not life. Vast multitudes face a bleak struggle each day to scratch for their next meal. Their world has no real love. Everything is an exchange or for sale.
You might not be aware of these forgotten people because their world might not intersect with yours.
……
Someone says,
‘People need to accept what I am!’
It’s good if people accept you as a person.
It’s not good if you demand they accept your ideas, values or beliefs.

When the Government becomes the sole, authorized arbiter of truth then it’s no longer a government, it’s a cult.

If what you believe and understand is based on the Government controlled media and education system then you’re going to have a very skewed perception of reality.

Why aren’t people who disagree with the Bible labelled Christophobic?
That’s if we’re going to be consistent with our use of “phobic”.
Because, if you disagree with any other movement you are labelled as phobic.

If the LORD is our greatest joy, then, spending time alone with Him will be our greatest joy.
…..
The 1 Corinthians 14 example of church only ever worked because people were filled with the Holy Spirit. Without this vital life with God people can’t function together this way, so, otherwise, they usually default to following a set program or ritual.
…..
Truth remains truth whether you believe it or not.
Truth doesn’t need people’s support to make it true, because it’s already true.
Believing something doesn’t make it true.
And not believing something doesn’t make it untrue.
This reality collides with the popular view that truth is whatever you want it to be or believe it to be.
…..
You know what must be the worst church in the sight of God?
The one which gives a false comfort to people, which makes people feel comfortable in their sinful, lost state, giving them a false peace, when they’re not converted or born again.

If we can obtain more courage in our Christian life it will make a huge difference.

We never have to be “something” or “someone” because Jesus is that “someone”.

Hard to believe that some people saw who Jesus was, saw His miracles, heard His truth, saw His compassion, and yet hated Him so much they wanted to kill Him.
And it’s hard to believe there’s still people around like that today.
