“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2)

“Mansions” means dwelling places: rooms, living spaces, houses or such like.

No doubt, a much better kind of house than we live in now.

“Religious”, in the negative sense of the word, means any spiritual activity disconnected from the reality of knowing Jesus Christ by faith.

In Christianity, there’s a whole bunch of stuff which would come under this term.

No one ever knows what a day will bring.

Jacob had to be given a limp before his name could be changed to Israel.

“Alaska Prophecy Cruise” ….

Oh no… prophecy cruise?? What a joke.

Too bad Jeremiah or John the Baptist aren’t here to join the cruise.

“….He whose heart is kind beyond all measure…”

  • old song.

Worship the living God.

“Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” (Rev. 14:7)

The mountains are His.

The rivers are His.

The galaxies are His.

LORD of the Universe.

LORD of Heaven and Earth.

Jesus Christ.

Have a robust faith because your faith is in Him, and He is faithful.

The LORD knows who His faithful ones are.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Tim. 4:7)

LORD Jesus, help us to understand how much you love us.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8)

Jesus is the truth, and His disciples simply bring this truth to others.

The only authority on life after death is the Man who came back from the dead, never to die again.

This life is only temporary, but eternity stretches on forever.

So, what are you going to do?

The mainstream media is totally partisan. Fair and balanced reporting and commentary is nearly extinct. Each outlet serves a particular political agenda.

Bad language is no longer bad.

To an avowed communist man I met: ‘So, Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Chairman Mao and Pol Pot would be your heroes?’

As Christians, the world should become progressively empty and vain to us, because we are not of it, if we are growing in Christ, and with this declining interest in the things of the world, our interest in God and in people should replace it.

Faith is given to us to do His will, not our own.

When the law becomes political it’s no longer the law, it’s a joke.

“Sin can bring pleasure, but never happiness.“

— RC Sproul

The Bible says, the body without the spirit is dead, and in the same way, one’s spirit without the Holy Spirit is dead. Apart from the Holy Spirit everyone’s spirit is dead.

Dead in sin. Spiritual death is separation from God.

Who compares to Jesus Christ?

“Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness…”

(Psalm 112:4a)

How much is God involved in your life?

If the Holy Spirit is in you (and the Holy Spirit is indeed God) then we could say that God is very involved in your life.

A money preacher said, ‘God will give you what you want, claim it!’.

I replied, ‘What if you’re covetous? Will God still give you what you want?’.

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for ALL men…”

(1 Timothy 2:1)

This will keep us busy.

The present state of the world is exactly how the prophets said it would be in the last days prior to the return of the LORD Jesus Christ.

Whatever sin in others repulses, grieves or hurts us, we need to acknowledge that the same sin lurks within our own sin nature, somewhere deep in our heart, at least in some measure, as we all inherited a sin nature.

We have a sin nature, a natural bent to disobey and shun God, and this is why Jesus said, ‘You must be born again!’ …so He can give us a new nature, which is His nature.

See Galatians 5. Our sin nature is called “the flesh”.

God created each one of us as a masterpiece, then we threw that priceless masterpiece into the sewer. This describes the state of man, and why we all need to become a new creation in Christ.

Christian, you might be far more blessed than you think or realize.

The creation should serve its Creator.

The beauty of nature is the beauty of its Creator.

His love is infinite.

It’s fair to say that when someone has false views of God, and heretical ideas about the truths of scripture, or a lifestyle which is not harmonious with Jesus of Nazareth, then, if they claim to have intimacy with God we need to ask, which God? And which Jesus? And which Spirit? And which Gospel?

Walking in the Spirit is predicated upon a person knowing the reality of the Holy Spirit indwelling them all the time, therefore, moment by moment it is this reality which governs their thoughts, words and actions. If their thoughts, words and actions, choices and decisions, are in harmony with the indwelling Holy Spirit, and they know His witness within them, having peace with what He is at peace with, and being disturbed by what disturbs Him, they live, moment by moment by this dynamic. And if they don’t, they know it and quickly repent.

In any sphere of human life, society, or politics, if you raise the issue of morality, or right and wrong, you are, ultimately, referring to a spiritual concept.

What we think about God’s word is what we think about God.

Jesus saved me 35 years ago. For every moment of every day since then He has been real to me. I’m very happy He saved me. Very happy He changed my heart toward God, toward others, and toward my own sinful nature. Very happy to no longer fear death and Judgment Day. Very happy to have His assurance and promise that I will live with Him and His people forever.

The Thought Police are not interested in actual crimes.

Surely, a person in whom Jesus Christ indwells will become likeminded with Him? They will certainly desire to be, with all their heart.

What do we need?

We need Him.

The LORD’s Prayer has the guiding place in a disciple’s prayer life because the LORD said, when you pray, pray this way.

I don’t like anything to do with the devil.

How many people are there that the LORD takes pleasure in?
