A servant of Christ has his reward from Christ, not from man.

March 18, 2019

Discernment is a Biblical component of the Christian life. When it becomes more than that then one is, ironically, unbiblical.

Have you noticed how the value of human life varies from place to place, depending on skin color, or religion, and/or who it is doing the killing? It can be measured by the amount of outrage toward atrocities, or even by total media silence.

Comparing massacres in different countries…. outrage or media silence. Guess what, skin color or religion does matter in this world after all.

When I look at nature I see a great work of art, I see a great Artist, and I acknowledge Him and His work. I don’t see something that happened by chance, something which is meaningless.

The deepest part of our being

March 16, 2019

Humans can touch your heart, but only Jesus can touch the deepest part of our being.

Are you chosen?

March 16, 2019

No one in this world needs to be concerned whether they are one of the elect, they only need to believe the wonderful truth that Christ loved them and laid down His life for them, and come to Him in faith with the fruits of repentance. THEN… they are filled with the Holy Spirit, become a new person, and discover they were chosen before the world was created.

A Christian shouldn’t desire to know everything, only what God wants and requires them to know, as He has plainly expressed in His word,  so they can serve Him in Spirit and Truth

The desire to know everything is an ungodly desire, an ego trip.

Main thing

March 15, 2019

Seeking FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness means you love Jesus more than anything or anyone in this world.

A little explanation

March 15, 2019

To my Calvinist friends, and anyone else who’s interested:

The Bible teaches election and predestination, especially in Ephesians.

How do I know I’m one of the elect?

Because Jesus saved me, and I know I didn’t save myself.

Now, God granted me repentance, that is, graciously helped me to repent, BUT He didn’t do the repenting for me, so I wouldn’t have to repent.

God gave me faith as a gift, and yet He didn’t believe for me.

My faith and repentance was not programmed, without my consent or my will.

Now, here’s where the finite human mind reaches its limitation and people rush off to join either the Calvinists or Arminians.

They join either camp based on natural reasoning, instead of trusting God for what is bigger than their pea sized brain.

So, like Paul, I know I’m one of the elect, and I know if I ever used my free will to go back to my old life I would be lost.

But not planning to or expecting to.

God does not save people against their will, so neither will He keep anyone against their will.

The last time you sinned, that was your free will in operation. It wasn’t God or the devil forcing you, it was your will in operation, and no one can be blamed except yourself.

Yes, God could have stopped you (theoretically) but that would make you merely a robot, without faith or love.

Because God is omnipotent He had the power to create a race of perfectly programmed people, who have no will of their own, just to do His bidding. They would be “perfect” but not perfect. They would have no love or faith. They would not be made in the image of God.

Even the angels have a free will. Remember Lucifer?

Peter said, be diligent to make your calling and election sure.

You’re one of the elect? Great. Now live like it.

Cheery message

March 14, 2019

It doesn’t matter how spiritual or how mature you are in the Lord, or how much faith you have, you’re still gonna have some terrible days.

Theological technique

March 13, 2019

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Hebrews 6:4-6

Now, every good theologian knows that “partakers of the Holy Spirit” doesn’t actually mean the Holy Spirit was in them, because, as we all know, it’s a bimorphic hermeneutic in the aorist third tense, with a second attribution, metamorphically speaking, of course, with the anthropogenic etymological consequence, being, that the said “partaker” didn’t really partake.

What would you think of a preacher getting rich by exposing the Prosperity Gospel?

Narrow way

March 13, 2019

There is indeed a deep ditch on the left side and the right side of the narrow way.

March 13, 2019

Scripture says the word of God is in our heart, mind and mouth – spirit, soul and body.

Discernment nazis

March 12, 2019

Conflict on earth is due to man’s conflict with God.

Discernment dudes

March 12, 2019

A Cessationist should not be a heresy hunter or discernment ministry dude because they believe everything supernatural is either from the flesh or the devil, therefore they are not able to distinguish what is truly from God and what is not. They may get it right some of the time, and other times call the Holy Spirit the devil.

Look to Jesus

March 12, 2019

Even the greatest thing in the world is only temporary.

Look to Jesus.

March 12, 2019

Jesus never called anyone to follow anyone except Himself.

Something missing

March 12, 2019

The Bible says in the last days people will become unthankful. Something will be seriously missing from their lives: thankfulness.

If we take the time to list all the things we SHOULD be thankful for, to Jesus, it would be the right thing to do.
