Why live?

January 16, 2020

I shall not die, but live,

And declare the works of the Lord.

Psalm 118:17

David  understood that living only has meaning in declaring the works of the Lord.

Otherwise, why live?

Explaining the Palestinian mythology

January 16, 2020

Two little boys were sitting around bored.

There was a tricycle sitting there.

Both ignored the tricycle all day.

Suddenly, one of the boys goes over and gets on the tricycle.

The other boy starts yelling, It’s mine! Get off, I want to ride it!

This is an analogy of the history of the Land of Israel, and the creation of the “Palestinian” mythology.

Straight from the horse’s mouth

January 16, 2020

You know, to praise God you don’t even have to know how to sing, you can just tell Him directly what you think about Him and His works and attributes.

Which spirit?

January 16, 2020

The spirit of error always empowers the flesh.

The Spirit of Truth always crucifies it.

Life

January 16, 2020

The Christian life is the life of Jesus lived out because He indwells.

Glory

January 16, 2020

If we’re filled with the Holy Spirit we always see and experience the glory of the risen Lord Jesus Christ.

The narrow way

“Unconditional love and conditional acceptance.”

Real love

January 16, 2020

People don’t consciously choose hell, but they choose to travel the road to hell, perhaps kidding themselves they won’t reach its destination.

We need to be God’s instrument of warning, and declare to them Christ’s finished work on the cross to reconcile them to God.

If we don’t have the love of Christ then we won’t care that they’re heading to hell.

Thank God

January 15, 2020

The person who is being discipled by Jesus can thank God for every difficult person in their life.

The right instrument

January 15, 2020

If the Cross was and is the instrument of salvation, then, the preaching of the Cross is the instrument of salvation.

Unconditional?

January 15, 2020

Is God’s love unconditional?

Its simple.

The Bible says God commends His love for us by giving His Son to die for us.

And… whoever refuses to repent and believe on Jesus will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

So… God loves everyone and desires them to be saved, and yet He also hates evil and will cast the unrepentant into eternal punishment.

Simple.

The LP way

January 15, 2020

Jesus says, I am the only way.

The Liberal Progressive replies, Sure… that’s one way of looking at it.

LEFT BEHIND

January 14, 2020

See Matthew 25, there’s going to be a lot of “Christians” LEFT BEHIND, ….but there is no second chance. The wise went into the marriage supper, then God shut the door.

As soon as possible

January 14, 2020

Whatever your greatest need is, bring it to the Father as soon as possible.

A new religion

January 14, 2020

What the pope has been saying to different religions as he travels about is that all people are children of God, so, therefore, what religion they are is irrelevant, and all they need to do is be good and love one another, and allow all these differing religions to coexist in harmony, all worshipping the same God in their own way.

This needs to be recognized as a new religion.

And there’s no way in the world that any true Christian could follow this new religion.

Thinking of people

January 14, 2020

When you think of someone, do you think of a skeleton covered in skin and meat, or their personality and soul? The outer man or the inner man? The temporary or the eternal?

Tenuous tenure

January 14, 2020

Man’s tenure on this little rock in space is tenuous at best.

His life is fragile, like a vapor, the Bible says.

God feeds everyone and every creature, the Bible says.

Joy

January 14, 2020

Regeneration….

Indescribable joy.

If we believe

January 14, 2020

If we believe God answers prayer, we pray.

It bites

January 14, 2020

Unrighteousness in any way, shape, form or disguise will always backfire on you and return to bite you.
