    Passage Found, May Have Been Used by Abraham

    (IsraelNN.com) A Jerusalem walkway from the times of the Patriarch Abraham, protected by a wall of large rocks, has been discovered, and will be displayed to the public on Thursday.

    The double-wall was uncovered in a dig run by the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) and sponsored by the City of David Association. Prof. Roni Reich of the University of Haifa, who is directing the dig together with Eli Shukrun of the IAA, told Israel National News, “Based on clay pottery fragments found at the site, it is assumed to have been built by the Canaanites some 3,700 years ago, during the period known as the Middle Bronze Age.”

    Egyptian coins carrying the name of Joseph found

    The museum research uncovered 500 of the coins “carelessly” stored in boxes.

    One even had the image of a cow “symbolizing Pharaoh’s dream about the seven fat cows and seven lean cows, and the seven green stalks of grain and seven dry talks of grain,” the report said.

    “Joseph’s name appears twice on this coin, written in hieroglyphs: once the original name, Joseph, and once his Egyptian name, Saba Sabani, which was given to him by Pharaoh when he became treasurer. There is also an image of Joseph, who was part of the Egyptian administration at the time,” the report said.

    This is a huge discovery because the skeptics promoted that the Bible was written around 600BC as Hebrew did not exist before that. All the liberal seminaries taught this. It is part of what is know as the Form and Higher Critics of the Bible. They mock at the idea that Moses wrote the Torah. These critics attacked the authority of the Bible!
    Now all their theories and unbelief has been destroyed. God has a way that over time He proves the accuracy and authority of His word. Unbelief is a powerful force and I am sure they will come up with new theories to attack the Bible. God will then destroy these theories with truth. The Bible is the pure word of God. You can trust it for eternal life.

    Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
