And “…though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”

1 Corinthians 13:2b

To remove mountains simply means to remove an impossible barrier or obstacle.

A demonized boy was brought to the disciples but they could not cast out the demons:

“Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”

So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Matthew 17:19-21

So the Lord explains that the “mountains” which need to be removed can be situations like this demon-possessed boy – things of that nature.

If someone brings a demon-possessed person to you for deliverance, there’s your “mountain”.

In such cases we are to “speak to the mountain” to be removed – that is, speak to the demon and it should obey you if you have faith to do it, in Jesus name.
