It’s better to meet with a few friends at home and discuss the word of God and pray than to be part of a corrupt church system.
At least you keep your conscience and your self respect.
Of course, I’m definitely NOT saying that a few friends at home is the best form of church.
I’m saying, if the only option is something corrupted, better to meet with a few friends at home.
Obviously, a body of believers such as we see in the New Testament churches, exemplified in 1 Cor. 14, as to how to assemble together, is much better than a few friends at home.
However, even if you are part of a genuine NT type church, it’s still compatible and synergistic with that to have a few friends at home between larger gatherings.
By corruption I mean anything of the flesh nature.
For example, to move ahead in the church system you need to promote yourself
But a true Christian won’t do that.
Having a system is the environment for corruption to take root and flourish.
