Today’s Tweets

Can anyone see a problem with the elite deciding for the masses what is factual and what isn’t?

As a Christian, I respect civil authorities, but I certainly don’t trust them.

In Gov we trust??

Read today:

“The “new normal” is healthy people suddenly dropping dead…”

If you’re on Twitter you would know that unusually large numbers of healthy young people are dropping dead from heart conditions.

Other platforms are suppressing the truth.

The mRNA was hailed as “safe” by governments, even though its long term effects were unknown.

Isn’t that criminally irresponsible?

Now, the short term effects are coming out, and the long term effects will be more clear over the coming years.

The true Christian life is a perpetual interaction with the indwelling Holy Spirit.

The Bible is the only authority on matters pertaining to God.

You can’t get better guidance than by the Holy Spirit, can you?

“I get guidance from the Bible!”

Yes. Guidance as far as the truth is concerned. Guidance on issues of truth.

Yet the Bible alone can’t guide every step you make day to day, and lead you to the people you need to meet, guide you when to speak or keep silent etc.. We need both the Bible and the Holy Spirit.

I’ve never encountered a problem where the Bible was the problem.

If the Bible is not the word of Jesus, then it’s worthless.

But if it is His word, the truth He has preserved for His disciples to heed, then live by every word of God.

And as to a supposed choice between living by His Spirit or living by His truth, there is no such choice or option.

I guess you’re familiar with liberal “Christians” who support evil and justify it by saying the Bible is not literally God’s word?

The devil doesn’t mind you talking continuously about grace and love or “Jesus” just as long as you don’t call out what the Bible describes as sin.

Re: “Did Jesus promise the Bible to lead us into all truth?”

How do you know Jesus promised to lead us into all truth?

By reading the Bible.

Now, which truth is He going to lead us into?

The truth He inspired and preserved for us.

Okay, let’s look at the problem of legalism, which is a huge problem.

The Bible is not the cause of legalism.

In fact, the whole New Testament teaches against it.

That’s how we know legalism is wrong. We know it from scripture, by the Spirit.

So, when people misuse the scripture, it doesn’t mean there is a fault with scripture.

Some might say, “oh, he became legalistic by emphasizing the Bible over the Spirit”.

Surely, this does happen, but it’s rare.

Usually legalists are trapped by extra-biblical rules or laws.

Hebrews 8:10 (from Jeremiah 31)
“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

Now, is this truth, which He writes in our mind and heart, a different truth to scripture?

Will it be extra-biblical truths?

You might think it’s a funny thing, but it’s the Holy Spirit which causes me to defend and uphold scripture as the only authority on matters pertaining to God.

The Holy Spirit never causes us to look to the Holy Spirit as the only authority concerning God.

Heard today from a wise woman:

“We should read the word of God, and anything in our life which doesn’t conform to it we should be willing to change. “

If you don’t have God, what do you have?

If God can’t give us joy, then why should anything else?

What happens is when the LORD is our joy, we find joy in the simple things of life because we understand every true joy of living has its origin and meaning in Him.

If we don’t preach the Gospel it’s ultimately due to a lack of love.

1 Corinthians 12:18
“But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.”
The picture here is like a physical body, with all the organs and muscles etc., placed by design exactly where they need to be for the healthy functioning of the whole body.

So, mysteriously, God places each member of Christ in His body, which is His church, by design, with the intent of playing its part in the healthy functioning of the church, universal and local. Each member somehow finds themselves where God intended them to be in the body. …somehow. Because He is able to do it. It shows His majestic Sovereign authority over His creation.

Ephesians 1:22-23
“And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,
which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”

As wonderful as this truth is, no truth can be used as an escape from responsibility.

We’ve had an evening prayer meeting with all our family for nearly 25 years. Only on rare occasions do we miss. We all take turns to share the word of God. So each day it’s someone’s turn to share and facilitate discussion, and another person’s turn to lead us all in the prayer of agreement for all whom we pray for. We pray for all our family, relatives, friends, neighbors, government, and also for any needs. The kids have been sharing the word of God since they began to read, and leading in prayer as well. We take time to sing thanks and praise to our God, preferring to sing songs which are directly from scripture. When we gather for prayer, around 7 pm, we first just chat about anything touching our lives. We also talk business plans, and anything needful. Then after that we praise God, share His Word, and pray.

Personally, I believe it’s one of the most vital aspects of our life.

The most vital aspect is our time alone with God.

And the secondmost, is our time together in prayer.

As society degenerates you can expect that governments will eventually “own” your children, as in, parental rights will be removed, and the state will have all rights over the child, and each child will undergo compulsory brainwashing in the narrative of the state, with the goal of producing compliant, unthinking, obedient citizens. It’s already well on the way.

When we preach to the Jewish people, we’re not calling them to leave Judaism and adopt a Gentile religion, we’re calling them to recognize who the Jewish Messiah is.

How could we think we are better teachers than the Holy Spirit?

Therefore, we must be totally dependent on the Holy Spirit when we teach.

It’s reassuring to know that our God is infinitely more powerful than the devil.

Read today:

“When grace becomes an excuse to live in sin, you’re no longer under grace, you’re under deception.”

Each person’s life and soul is exceedingly precious.

Yet in the world, life is cheap, and people discard their own soul, or trade it for worthless things.

When someone says “God told me!”, say to them, The only way we know anything about God is because He revealed it to us by His word and Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is the only teacher, so all we truly know about God is because “God told me”, so why say, “God told me!”?

They have a hierarchical understanding of spiritual authority.

If they think you are on a lower tier of spiritual authority to them, they will feel threatened if God is working in your life, because, in their mind, it would be unthinkable that you come to be above them in the hierarchy.

Of course, there is no hierarchy.

That is carnal thinking.

Complain about someone…

…don’t see any change.

Pray for them…

…see change.

Every Christian who waits on the Lord is revived in their spirit.

(See Isaiah 40:31)

1 Peter 5:6-7
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

Cast your concern upon the LORD, and He will take care of it.

Whatever is worrying you, trust Him to take care of it.

And He will.

What a friend! What a Father!

The most interesting and fascinating subject of all is God.

Christian fellowship is special because Christ is there.

Atmospheric music is nice to listen to, but what “is” the “atmosphere”, actually?

Jesus Christ doesn’t want us to be religious with Him, He wants us to be real with Him.

The Holy Spirit can bring clarity on perhaps every facet of life we need clarity on.

The parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13)

David Wilkerson once said that these were perhaps the scariest verses in the Bible, because the five foolish virgins are obviously professing, church-going Christians who are looking forward to the Lord’s return, and yet they try to enter the Kingdom, but are shut out forever.

If your civilization goes back 4000 years, you’re not an occupier.

Anyone can feel lonely at times, but the person with Christ in them knows they have no valid reason to feel alone, because if He is in them and with them they’re not alone.

You might FEEL alone, but you’re not.

If someone passionately shouts out their claims, many will think it is true simply on that basis, and not by examining the claims. So the main thing is to be a good actor, and people will believe you.

The medicinal and nutritional properties in plant life were engineered with precision to sustain life and treat nearly every medical condition, and this was done before there was any life to sustain, or any sickness to cure.

The Holy Spirit is given us to help us do what would be impossible to do without Him.

“To stay away from Christianity because part of the Bible offends you assumes if there is a God he wouldn’t have any views that upset you.”
